Happy Father's Day boys.  Remnants of "Bill" in the Mid-Atlantic region.  Wish I could send some of this rain to our Westies...  Ran trains during the Lightning last night.  FifeMax likes to lay under the benchwork so he doesn't hear the thunder.  Getting reacquainted with the 2026.  Had to bust out some forgotten O27 equipment, so as not to tax the motor on my steep grades.  No speed control, no protosounds, just a steady hand on the throttle and eyes on the rails.

Sadly, I found out that my favorite train store, Catoctin Trains, recently went out of business (owner retired).  This one hurts me a bit.

Going over BIL's for dinner later.  Enjoy your day.

Good Morning

Nice and clammy here in humidland. 72 feeling like 84 right now, supposed to get to 77 feeling like 90 later on...oh...with the ever present chance of showers/thunderstorms. Whistling

Good morning all,

Just dealing with the heat/drought here.  In the 90's every day lately.  We went to the public library yesterday to find a cool spot.  Our air conditioner ran all day and could not keep up with it.  I used one of the computers at the library and saw some neat 611 videos on a big screen.  Awsome!  Shows how bad my old one at home is.  Need to get a new one soon.  Tried out swimming pool for the last couple of days.  Still haven't got that like I want it yet.  I'm probably swimming in chemical soup instead of water but I'm still none the worse for wear.  Son that lives with us is away this weekend so we don't have to cook for him.  Ate out last night at local Mexican restaurant.  Don't have a clue what my kids have planned for father's day.

later,

Ray

The sun is out and it is 58 degrees heading to 75. Nice.   Cool

Groceries today.

Nothing else but maybe some grass if it drys some.

Morning.  More heat.  Big storms rolled through from dark until way into the morning.  Lots of rain.  Maybe more tonight.  Baby sitting 2 1/2 year old great nephew this morning until 2:30.  Makes a mess of day.  Will stay inside.  Have a good one.

Mornin' boys.  Clear and 72 in the Mid-Atlantic region.  Spoke with Banksie last night for a bit.  Perhaps I shall get on the business end of a paintbrush today.

Good evening all,

Quiet day at work.  Weather was muggy for walk.  Dodged raindrops and lightning bolts to get yard mowed.  Hopefully a quiet weekend at home watching that All-American sport being contested by the finest lady athletes in the world.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Evenin' boys.  Raining off-and-on in the Mid-Atlantic region.  Sears delivered the new washer today.  Cleaned out cellar stairwell, including spider webs, so the crew wouldn't get the hoo-boo-geebies.  While in the basement, continued sprucing up, and boxed up all of my MTH-LIONEL-KLine catalogs.  Now cooking barbie-Que thighs in oven.

Banks - Left you a voicemail, so just lemme know.

Good morning all,

S.J., belated happy birthdayHappy B-Day

The saga of my MTH 4-8-4 continues.  I just got a missing part sent to me after repairs but today I turned the engine over to clean the pick up rollers and discovered that all four grease port screws were missing.  I'm sure they will replace them but would just like to finish this project.

Fellers thank you for the birthday greetings.

We had krispy Kreme for cake and of course Banilla.

73 cloudy and very humid. Looks like we will be blessed with more rain before the day is over.

Hello there,

Wow...I had the same problem Chief did. Then it took several trys to get REPLY to load. I was about to give up.

After a high here near 100 on Tuesday the mid 70's felt a bit cool today

Fife, I'd love to stop by if time allows. We're traveling Friday. If grandson's race Saturdayis postponed due to wet conditions it may be a possibility. Mrs & I will be making the trip again in July with the camper. I'll PM my number. Call if you'd like.

I use Firefox exclusivly. The IT guys at work swear by it.

Happy B-Day to Sir James

88........... Good luck with the test.

My stop at toy Town was a good one. I found a mid 60's Tyco/Mantua PRR passenger set with box that had no price tag. When I asked the man said make me an offer. I threw out a number I thought he'd laugh at an he accepted it as long as it was cash.

Best move on

Prayers for those in need

Try replying tonight, I can even see what I'm typing, don't know what happened yesterday.  Chief probably had something to do with it.

Happy Birthday SJ,  BLT's are back in season here, weather is getting very warm again!

Made a commitment today to get a couple of tables at the next train meet, will be interesting to see how that goes.  Will force me to see if I can part with some stuff!

Had a good day today, went to PHYSICAL Therapy, made arrangement to talk with a consultant regarding my future and the leg issues, bought some wireless telephones, and our website did really well.

Hopefully, tomorrow will get a "control station" built in the backyard for the Dogbone.

So far the software changes are working well.  Even have the wife working with them, and she is liking it.

Take care ALL and STAY Healthy!

Don

Good evening all,

Work went well.  Weather was tolerable.  Only 7 of our team showed for the game tonight so we lost 7-1.  I hope everyone has a good day.

88 - I would be happy to buy that LW (I just love the old-school looks of the thing) from you.  No hurry, whenever you come across it.  Good luck with the test.

Happy Birthday SJ!

Fife - I had to venture into the basement tonight get an adult beverage, the LW was sitting on the sofa table next to the trainroom. But for a little dust it looks just like it did when I placed it there. Also found the KW and Z (don't think it is a ZW) KW looks near new, Z needs some work (got it for free from a guy at work). So when we meet up next, it is yours.

Kev,
The free upgrade is for any version of Windows 7 or 8. When you download the updates via Windows Update one of them is for the free upgrade - they so kindly put an icon in the system tray that you can use to keep track of your upgrade.

Hope that helps?

Yes it does Brent, Thanks alot.

Pork chops on a stick tonight with Baked beans and a salad.  Dinner

I bet Jon knows what those are! Wink

Good afternoon all,

Got a few things done today.  Got new placard for handicap parking.  Also signed contract to paint the house and lastly had a dentist appointment.

Now to relax.

Browsers... ugh... I can't wait for Windows10. I've been demoing it for about 3 months now and all I can say is... Windows10 is what Windows7 was to Windows Vista. It takes what Win7 did awesomely well, with what Win8 does well, melds them together, then makes the better! One of the things I liked the most is IE is no longer part of it, and you don't have to use their new browser if you don't want to - it is a seperate part of the install.

Brent, It is my understanding that if you have Windows 8 or 8.1 they will give you 10 for free for up one year after release is that correct?  Huh?

V8Vega

I saw the forcast minutes ago. Wed. 98 Thur. 99 Fri. 100

Thanks to me finding the owners manual online I found how to view photos on my new tablet. I took a picture just to try it out and it takes good pictures outside, I don’t think it would be good in low light.

I wanted to delete the picture but I must be missing something in the instructions. A delete is suppose to come up and it dosen’t.

Dennis,
When the picture is displayed on the tablet, you may have to tap the screen to get the menu to pop up (sometimes at the top of the tablet screen).

Cooler today.  Mid to high 90's.
