Good evening all,

A very quiet day at work.  Weather was good at noon.   Snow cannon is hitting us now, but not too bad.   Played indoor soccer.  Got a goal.  Did not get home in time to watch Arrow.   I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Good evening,

A busy day today and yesterday.  My car didn't start yesterday so I borrowed the wife's van.  Today I grabbed a new battery for my car.  The one that died was installed in 2008 and made that August so I think it served its purpose.  It's snowing right now and I hope it keeps coming - good job Chuck.

Laz - The catalog has some nice offerings.  i really like the USAF items.

Mike C. - I agree about different tastes.  I am glad you enjoyed; I did like the way they made the field/stage look like an equalizer and different things.

Thanks Bob.

Good night,

Joe

Good morning,

-2 out there with bright sun, going up to 16 later. Wife went to work. So I hope the roads were better.

Joe, if you want anymore snow come on by and get all you want.

The basement dehumidifier shut off for the first time this morning since The 20 month old Jordan un-pluged the lift pump and the basement got wet so I laid the carpets back down and now I can get around down there.

Will do some train stuff today where I can stay in and warm.

Have a good one.

Good morning all,

Chores are piling up around here since I have not had time.  Need to vacumn the pool after that last wind storm we had.

Ate big breakfast today and it was late.  Might have light lunch or skip it.

Took our first walk this morning in days.

Got a thing in the mail from someone trying to sell insurance on your gas pipe repairs. $5 per month for the rest of your life.  Sounds like accidental death insurance.  Gas Company has nothing to do with it.  What will they think of next?

I would have bought insurance for water pipes but none available.  Have since replaced the ones in the house.  Sprinkler still out but on a separate line.

later,

Sunny but cold today.  Work was quiet but busier than expected.  Did a lot of running around after work for the missus.   Tired.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Hello,

The snow stopped around midnight last night (ended up with an inch at best), but the temperature dropped significantly.  It was well below freezing all day today and it will remain that way until tomorrow.  The next chance for snow isn't until Monday, but I leave for California and Utah on Sunday so I'll miss it.

Kev - I will gladly come get your snow; leave it in your yard for me. Smile, Wink & Grin

It's late here and time for bed.

Good night,

Good evening all,

Really quiet here on the coffeepot.  If Joe had not posted, there would have been no one between the one I did yesterday and tonight.   Work was really quiet today. Got my LEGO order today and will be building this weekend.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Evenin' Fellas

Well the BMW was a total loss... would post a pic but for some reason I can't find a site to host pictures from, tried my Shutterfly account but I must not be paying them enough for this feature...

You Mopar guys will be happy to hear that I ended up with a 2014 Dodge Durango Limited. Has all the bells and whistles except the tow hitch, Hemi, lane departure warning, and adaptive cruise control (no forward collision avoidance). Really nice ride, so nice that I've put over 350 miles on it since Wednesday night when I bought it! Took it to pick TheQ up at BWI this evening and it received nice reviews. Thumbs Up On Wednesday when I bought it, the kiddos were with me (very well behaved for a 2yo and 3.5yo), we got in to take a drive and Christina flipped up the rear entertainment screens "WOW Dad! This car has TWO TVs!....... Can we watch Frozen?" LOL

Good evening fellas,

Friday flew by and I was able to leave work about 90 minutes early.  That allowed me to pick up the two older kids from school and take them for some ice cream at Graeter's.  No, it's never too cold for ice cream.  Not a whole lot going on tonight.  Yes, Mike it is pretty quiet on here.  I hope every one is well.  Brent - Sorry about the BMW, but the Durango sounds quite nice.

Buckeye - What time are you going to the show tomorrow?

Bright sun and will hit 40 this afternoon so the snow on the shed should slide off today. Joe, you had better get over here and pick up that snow. Wink
George is sleeping with Sandra so quiet time for me.

Banks, remember a few months ago I got a new LED light for the shed and you were asking about it? Well so far I have to report I like it. It gives off real good light and only uses 40 watts. Seems to work well in the cold to. At this point I would recommend one if your looking.  Yes
Have a good day.

V8, I haven't heard anything yet about the car crash in Glendora.  Hope they caught the crooks.

Banks, thanks for asking.  Wife is doing better lately.  Will see a specialist next week and is still continuing physical therapy for a non related problem.  Seems to be doing some good with that.

No rain here yet but we will take it if it comes.  I have held off on watering today hoping for some from the sky.

Getting a little work done on my train collection for a few days but not much.  I am boxing up some stuff that I will sell if and when I feel the need.  Been boxing up my Lionel PS4 flatcars with trailers and my Metrolink 18 inch Bombardier cars by K Line. The engine is an F59PH from MTH with proto 2.

Still searching for boxes for the last two PS4 cars.

Joe, we lost about 6" of the white stuff today, got up to 46 degrees on The North Bluff. The shed roof snow fell off around noon so the roof metal is now clean. Got it off the drive with the JD before it stuck. It left a pile about 3' high and 5' wide across the front of the shed. Tongue Tied

Bob, I got the mail bag painted brown and am working on placement, I wil post a picture when I get it done.

Thanks again Bob!!!!!!!!!!  Smile

Evenin' boys.  Mild 40 here in the Mid-Atlantic region.  Mid 50's tomorrow.  Did laundry today, that was about it.

Banks - I like it.  My knees like it more.  And, we meet the builder up near Harrisburg later this month.  Looks like we're goin' modular.

88 -Welcome to MOPAR family.  What color?

TheQ has been home since yesterday @ 5:30pm.,It sure is nice having her back, missed her greatly. The kids were very well behaved while she was gone. Spent the day doing odd stuff around the house in the AM, then the furniture place delivered the new kitchen table and chairs - kitchen project is now officially complete, then spent the afternoon running ehrands. Got Matthew a Home Depot workbench for his room at Toys-R-Us, can wait to get it put together for him - or is that Christina? Smile

Fife - Maximum Steel Metallic, looks like a cross between dark gray and dark blue. TheQ and I had to swap garages as this is a big on the large size for where my 325xi was housed. Smile TheQ does seem to like the ride. Nice to not have to spend the extra $$$ for premium fuel, it cost as much to fill the Durango as it did the 325xi. I should be able to do longer between fuel ups since it has averaged 20+ mpg and has a 24 gallon tank.

Hi all,

A late check-in for me today.  We had a busy afternoon.  Took care of chore and then met some friends for dinner.  I did run the trains for a few minutes, but haven't made any progress on the layout yet.  Tomorrow I'm off to California and Utah for work.

Buckeye - I was too busy to make it today and I fly out tomorrow.  Perhaps next time.

Kev - I think it hit 50 today here.  Sorry I missed out on your snow. Smile, Wink & Grin

Evenin' All.

Friday at the museum went well, no pile-ups as Laz would say. No gremlins either.

Had planned on today being a "veg-out day" but the honey-do list took precedence. Oh well, as they say "Happy wife happy life".

Joe, If youu happen to near Sandy Eggo and have a bit of spare time I'd be happy to give you a tour of the museum.

Ordered some parts from Lionel for one of the Kid's Club engines. It is a 99 model Dash 9 that sheared the drive gear on the axle, motor gear looks almost new. Hope they come in by Wednesday so I have time to get it all put back together and ready to go for President's Day club program.

Time to sign off, nite all.

V8 Dennis, some people have even put in ariticial turf.  Having a pool now is a curse with the water problem.  It doesn't seem to lose too much from evaporation but the main problem is when it is necesssary to change the water completely.  The conditoner in my cholorine eventually gets too high and the only way to get rid of it is by changing the water.  I have over 10K gallons of water to change.  Don't think the water department would like that.  Just filling in the pool is expensive too.

Hello there.

Twas a Febrary thaw here today. Managed to get most of the ice off the walks.

RI Jack is in for another one. Haven't heard from him. He must be still shoveling.............

Fife........They've got some really nice modular stuff now.  Make sure you spec minimum #12 AWGwire for every thing, even lighting circuits. If you get one that the roof overhang is flipped up on the roof for transportmake sure that they secure them after they are lowered. Last year a co-worker had them flip up during a severe wind & rain event. They had to remove drywall and insulation from the whole side of the house. I know from experience how the wind blows near Mt Storm.

Ray....I have little expeience with pools but draining it because the chemicals get out of wack seems like a real pain.

Best move on.

Good evening all,

Spent Saturday running errands for wife.  Did watch 2 soccer matches.  Spent Sunday finishing up one LEGO building.  Looks very nice.   Did an hour walking/jogging at high school field house.  Cannot get a straight answer on what the distance of the track is.  Weather was nice this weekend and spent some time going thru the eternal task that is the attic.  Dennis, glad to hear you are getting out and about with the ladies.  Did watch a couple more Sherlock shows.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

Mornin' Fellas

Sounds like most had pretty good weekends!

V8 Dennis Thumbs Up if you are both happy, that is 80% of the solution, everything else will work itself out.

MikeC what buildings are you making out of Legos? I saw somewhere there Ian McKlelan (Gandalf) is making a Sherlock Holmes movie where he is an elderly Holmes working his last case... sounds interesting.

Fife - I think I've figured out how to describe the color... it resembles the gray on the front of the two-tone steamer boilers. Thumbs Up

Anyone heard from Chief? Did Buckeye and Chuck strand him up North?

Speaking of Chuck????? Hope he is doing OK.

Can't wait to see the gang again in April. Haven't decided if I'm going to the Legacy User Group meeting (have a few things I would like to 'discuss' with Lionel). Stopped at the LHS on Friday to price some LCS components and I was blown away that the LCS switch controller now only controls 4 switches down from 6 that the old ACS2 controlled. REALLY??? I have nearly all the power drops wired back to the control panel, just need to get them hooked up - guess I need to build the shell for the control panel now. Smile Next up was the switches, but I have 16 and don't know when I'll have the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ for 4 LCS switch controllers. Angry

Apparently they aren't going to do anything to address the issues with the forum software downgrade. No

Morning,

Cold again on the North Bluff. About 23 degrees.
May be heading out for a day or two. Friend slid his 963 bobcat into the side of the 30 acre beaver dam on his property up north and we need to get it out.  May have to blow the dam and drain it to get it out, the water in the dam is about 3’ deep. A lot of water. His logger has a log skidder he will bring out to see if we can pull it out first.
Dennis Best of luck on the dating game. I sure hope I never have to get back into that.  Tongue Tied
Brent enjoy that American steel your driving. There nice but I find all of that lane control stuff an announce. If your driving you should know what is going on around you so what is the point. Guess it helps the distracted drivers.
Would be nice if the at least fixed the spell check on here. Bang Head
