The temp is 63 and very cloudy. Lots of rain overnight. The usual price for a bag of original coal is $10.00. I have been trying to find some for my 397 belt coal loader but not at 10. The new plastic stuff won't work in that loader, too light. Granny is a-fussin trying to get everything ready for the train club tomorrow night. I still have some things to do as well..TGIF for you working folk. ...S.J.

I'd rather be younger and working than old and retired. You don't realize that till you get here.

OMG Brutus Prayers for all. Hang in there man!  Angel
Dennis, good deal on the 89 Cavalier Z-24 glad you got it sold, I always liked those in blue. Yes
Rich, Glad to hear they think they are on to what has been going wrong. I hope their right. Hmm
Jake, You want coal? Send me a PM with your address and I will send you some. I got a bunch of it with some other stuff and don’t need it all. Wink
Mike good to see they will have 33 cars this year. It should be good. Yeah
Chuck, Happy B-Day Enjoy YOUR day.

The son and family came over last night for a mother’s day and two kids birthday gift exchange. A good time was had by all.

I got half of my tunnel inner structure built yesterday I think it will work. I will post a picture below.

The wife has left me till Saturday night to spend the night with the daughter and granddaughter for a mother’s day shopping fling. So it will be just me and the cat.  Mischief

Have a good day all.

I cut strips out of cardboard gluing them with hot glue and I think when I am done I can lift it off the table to install the plaster cloth. I still need to finish the rest and adjust the ends that are loose but I think it will work. Suggestions and advice from you pros please.

Good morning.

Will be working kinda late tonight. Will be lonely as well. Not looking forward to it, but more money. Might soon get a bag of coal for my 3469 coal dump car here soon. Depends on what they go for. Could anyone illuminate me on this?

Holy smokes, Jim!!  I woke up this morning to read your post from last night.  When it rains it pours. Surprise

Angel for Char's recovery from this bout of bronchitis which won't let go and for your sister's FIL on successful surgery.  Re Kevin's math test?  Prayer won't help with that.  As a parent I have walked a mile in your shoes, and as a student I have walked a mile in Kevin's (for me it was trigonometry for some reason).  So on the math test..... I wish YOU BeerBeerBeer celebrating his success.

Rich......you have my prayers on your Doc visit today.  Man......six weeks is enough of this already!!! Angel

Another busy day at work today - I've been in training a lot lately.  I like giving training and I like being in training, but this is too much for too long!  I'm tired, just want to do my job for a while!

Happy birthday Chuck!

Doug - have a safe trip!

Mike - sounds like fun!  Okay, you drive man - I'm tired!  I'll hang out and have a few beers and we can talk while you fly the ship :)

Please pray for Char, she has missed a whole week of work now with this bronchitis without pay.  Also, please pray for Kevin to pass his math test on Friday so he won't have to repeat a math course.  Finally (I know, i can't believe it myself), please pray for my sister's Father-in-Law who got up in the night and fell and broke his hip.  He needs surgery due to internal bleeding, otherwise at 92 they would not do it.

Tardis is ready, let's go!

RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

Good evening all,

Cloudy and rainy in SE Indiana.  Got part of the yard mowed before rain hit.  Will finish tomorrow morning as the "Saucy Wench" and I are doing a movie day Friday.  Local theater starts shows at 11AM and it is supposed to rain most of the day.  Work was quiet today but will get busy next week.  TBIL and I can drive.  Track opens for practice on Saturday.  Looks like there will be 33 cars for the race this year.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

Good Evening.....

Got set up for physical therapy for tomorrow morning  11AM.  Doc said that this may have been caused by a virus in my ears...most likely from my pneumonia.  OK, that's something at least.  Return to work put off until PT is started and we need to see where we go from there.

Pulsar has been retired to Junkyard Barbies for $400 cash money.  Ran like crap the whole way and ate 1/8th tank of gas for the 15 mile trip.  Michelle, the owner, took care of business and she is very easy on the eyes...while there I looked for the neon I left there in December.....she's long gone....Got my VIP card to get in for free.  Oh, yeah, I'll be back...

Neighboring past chief's wife passed, viewing tomorrow......he's a great guy and she was only 65.  Really is sad.  I'll be going.

Trying to see if I can get to Grand Central Terminal on Saturday...yes I'll be taking the train to New York Penn and a short walk to GCT.

Parents off to NC in the AM, then back by Tuesday.  Mother's Day on hold until then.....Mom's orders...!!

Off to bed...

I am the monster in your head...And I thought you'd learn by now, It seems you haven't yet.

Went into work at 5am. Out at 1:30. Arrived home and started my long list of chores. I managed to get two E-bay items packaged up and sent out(I listed three items but a guy backed out on one of them),lawn mowed, magnolia tree planted, crab apple tree planted, and plants watered. Then the wife pulls in with a dozen more things to plant. No storm door touched yet. The front door handle was the wrong one so that is on hold. Oh and no painting done yet

I'm going to work on trains and forget this day!

Went down and fed the dogs and raided my fathers pantry for a snack. Good thing I mowed the grass today. It's raining outside and there are ominous rumblings to the west. Looked at the radar and there's a big ugly line of storms coming across east Texas headed straight for us. No further model railroading activity today.

I mounted one of the Athearn diesel horns on one of the FP7's just to see what it would look like. I like the way it looks. Now I'm thinking about getting more so I can mount them on my other FP7's.

The temp is 77

Kevin, GRASS is Cut and trimmed. But playing with trains is a lot more fun. James was not the only one trying to beat the rain, I could hear mowers running all over the neighborhood. I haven't lost that 3 pounds I added over the winter so we might skip Banilla tonight. No Tardis report it was AWOL last night...S.J.

Got the grass mowed without incident. Check on my fathers dogs as he's out of the area today. Now back home and I think I'll just do a whole of nothing the rest of the day.

I highly respect the wisdom, advice, and counsel of the guys on this forum.  HudsonJohn, SJ, and Jeffrey thought it would be a good idea to mow the lawn today and get it out of the way before the weekend and before it rains some more.  I had good intentions.  But I procrastinated just long enough.....and now it is raining again.Thumbs Up

Hello all

Work schedule changes yet again. Will be headed back to the mountain tomorrow instead of back to NM. They are bringing the Euro group out that designed the new telescope and the engineers are going to hobnob. I have to show around a film crew on the mountain on Saturday plus keep an eye on the receiver group that is up there now.

Sitting in a local coffee shop right now. Internet @ the house was non-existant yesterdayBang Head

New wheel cylinder cured the rest of the brake issues on the 4-door. Will need to wait to replace the rear flexible brake lines though. They will need some encouragement to come off so I want to order new ones in case they are needed.

Not too much other excitement. Need to find where I'm going to sleep on the mountain today. May have to bring a tent.Stick out tongue

real NASTY crash on the Harrisburg Arteries of Interstate 81 and 22/322,  fuel tanker rolled and exploded on a bridge with a bridge above it, spilling burning fuel on to the interstate below.

Harrisburg is GridLocked

Interstate 81 is closed indefinatly, so the state says.   as the bridges above it were weaken by the explosion / fire.

The temp is a sunny 69

Rain expected overnight so it's gonna be grass cutting today. I still have some cleaning to do in the train room but I might just finish it off on rainy Friday. For our OGR peekers, we had scrambled eggs, some bacon and 1 toast..S.J.

Good morning. It's 67° with 100% humidity. Cloudy with a high of 80°.

The grass is high and it looks like rain for the next couple of days. So it looks like mowing the grass is on the schedule today. Gotta get it done or it'll only be harder to do later. Oh well, could be worse.
