Mornin' boys.  Mornin' English.  Overcast and 66 here in the Mid-Atlantic region.  Crappy weekend weather-wise, and we still have yet to stretch the sails on the yatchet.Sigh  Wifey and the princesses played Monopoly last night, and man-oh-man are they cutthroat.Black Eye  Did get the laundry done, and did get some pics posted on SPF (first time in like, ever)...

Trying to watch a NASCAR race is getting to be laborious.  I'd like to see them cut the lengths in half (except Daytona), and go back to the 1948 rule book.

Fifepup wants to go test drive a used GMC pick-up today.  Will have to try and squeeze that in before work.

Good morning!

To sum up my Fri to Sun --- not enough time.

Friday was at dentist where he tried to repair a front shield filling on my tooth. Took two tries. Only for me to get home and have it come off again. So not sure what he will do with that. Front door project is still on going. Hoping to get the outside part done tonight. Probably could have finished outside part but decided to spend time with son. Hope to find out some news today on jeep. Need to call them and let them know to have a mechanic go through it. When I went to drop it off it made a terrible noise and lurched. Made me miss the first drive even.

It was a late night but I finally have a test layout done. We'll see once I start connecting all the pieces together. Either the layout or the front door will be finished tonight.

Doug - Sounds like the wife got ya for the birthday. My wife got me on my 40th. We were supposedly headed into a Halloween party. First birthday party I ever had not to mention surprise at that!

Sounds like some rough weather is headed our way and of course I have service calls today!

Hope every one has a great day and prayers to those effected by these storms.

Rainy good morning.  Garden and Wifey's plants are loving it.  More on the way.  The NC "baccy" is set out and growing too.

As usual, did not get to finish the scene in the Box.  Always interruptions.  Got door bell replaced.  Then had to wire a new additional up light at the front of the house.  By then, dark and tired.

Ray and Doug W., Don says visits are being planned to see both of you.  Will be nice to be back in Californ-i-a.

Busy Mayor week.  Off Friday [finally] but back Monday night.

Prayers for all those in the mid-west.  Text from Jon E., tornado 2 miles from his home.  He had 70mph winds.

All have a great week.

Aloha. Sunny and hot in Chicago. Brent, love that curved bridge. Jeffrey, love the billboard for the S.L.O.W. I am a sucker for cute things like that. Jake, congrats on almost being finished with your academic year. I have an opportunity to get a small 2003 Honda CRV that has been religiously cared for by a little old lady - to replace the 13 year old mini-van or at least free it up so the college boy can run it into the ground.

I guess I should probably start planning now for the bride's next birthday too....

Good morning. It's 75° with 89% humidity. It'll be cloudy with a high of 90°.

Nothing planned for today except to lay back and take it easy. I'll watch some movies and later I may get around to doing something on the layout.

Prayers for all of those in the path last night and hope Jon and family are okay.

Jake congrats on the last day.

Ryan, Today is the day. I just checked the tracking. Yes Sorry about the lot a well and septic would cost more than that.

Doug, CRVs are a good machine. Do it. Sounds like you had a nice party.

RJ, I think I will do my own storm door on second thought. Whistling

Fife, I am with you on NASCAR. Tongue Tied

Buckeye may have to get the raiders ready for a trip to protect Doug, Dennis, Ray and the rest of CA.

What has happened to Laz? Hmm

Wife is home today so I had better get cracking.

The temp is a muggy 75, going to 88. Of course that means we already have severe storm watches for this afternoon. We just returned from the local nursery with some veggie and flower plants. We tried Friday morning but couldn't find a parking place. Today was much better. For the OGR guys I had a ham and egg sandwich this morning(with for real ham too)...S.J.

Good Morning! 70 and overcast here Down the Jersey Shore!

We had a Great time at the Grandniece's Birthday Party! Lilly loved her tricycle. Today it is grocery shopping and Drill at the Firehouse.

Brent: The Bridge looks great!

Ryan: Hang in there. Things have a way of working out.

Fife & Kev: I agree with you both on NASCAR. Bring back the old rules.

Where is Laz?

Have a Great Day!

good afternoon

the lot was a spur of the moment thing

i can get other acreage (more of it too) for ALOT less per acre, but the city hook ups were enticing

a well and septic around here  about 20K (its all sand stone and they have to case the well the whole way down)

it'll come around

Good afternoon.

Feels really weird to be finished with school overall. Let alone the fact that graduation is roughly 10 school days away. Will be keeping myself busy by looking at notes for the two finals that I need to take. Trig and Physics. Will also start applying decals to my 109.

Kev: Lexi makes that cast look good. I hope she doesn't have to have it on for long. One I had when I messed up my right knee in '71 was on for nearly three months. Of course that's a bigger joint with a lot more weight on it. One I had for my right wrist was only on for a month and a half.

Fellas - come on - we were just warned by Jefferey, BoC, and Bob Keller to knock-off the political talk. If someone posts something of a political nature either take it off-line or do not respond. Not sure about anyone else, but I would like The POT to stay around.

Point well taken Brent. Corrected on my end. But I question why I should have done it.   Seems everything is taken as political, even if it is, now just history. And BTW my reply had no political content just a reflection that there may be something more to look at. So what now, do we all get to be self made moderators ?. I may be a good one.  I have no issues with what has happened just how some can't see how it did.  Just make me understand why it is all okay if it is all on one side and why some get called out if some don't have the same opinion but others can post anything they want??? vacation sounds good. Tongue Tied

Thanks, Wink

Hunkered down here in that red line on the radar scope that is running through the middle of Mo.  Mostly noise and lots of rain.  Had some high winds and 'rotation' a little earlier tonight.

Ran trains a little yesterday.  Still got to work on the smoke unit in the Hudson.  Had it loaded up with 11 cars to increase the current draw.  Didn't seem to increase the smoke output.

Mounted the A/C in the bedroom window yesterday.  Also got the new fuel line installed on my ugly old truck.  Turns out that I needed a 5/8 tube wrench.  The smallest one I have is 3/4, so off to Ace Hardware.  I had to teach the kid clerk what a tube wrench was.  Turns out they didn't have one, so I bought a box end and made my own.  Rolling around in the grass under the truck working on the fuel pump end of the line didn't help my allergies much......

All for now.

Busy Mayor day over finally.  Tomorrow is Town Board only.  I am doing a proclamation of thanks to a native young guy who has just returned from Afghanistan.  That will be special.

Friend Fred coming tomorrow AM.  Building his Wife some bird houses.  Probably rain some more.  Had several big down pours today.

Prayers for those who got hit today by storms.  Hope they stop.

OMG that tornado today was awful. Michigan gets some every year but I don't think we ever had one that was like that. Granny got the flowers planted but I didn't get the veggies in today. Banilla is waiting for the Tardis crew...S.J.

Well I spent much of the day doing a whole lot of nothing. I took the time to clean up a couple of structures but watched movies most of the day.

Time for me to call it a night. See y'all tomorrow.

Good Morning, 70, 90% humidity and cloudy in Bayville, NJ.

Today it is get my old suit tailored (taken in not let out) and buy a new one. I have my nephew's wedding next month and we have a few more dressed up affairs coming up. Then if the weather holds out it is cut the grass.

Prayers for all of the victims of the tornados.

Kev: Lexi makes quite a fashion statement. I am glad that she is doing good. May she heal quick with no side effects. Prayers.

Dennis: Glad to hear that your old shop is doing god. Too many small and big businesses are gone. The shop where I got my start 45 years ago is doing great. It is still in the smae family and the founder is still going strong at 84! I stop in every so often, more when I was working. I would bring the donuts!

Mike: Glad your situation at work has been resolved.

Rich: That is a Sweet Reliant! No more sag since the new springs were installed like most of the ones at work did after a year!

Have a Great Day!

If you don't think the topics listed in the post you quoted, and the topics you listed in your response were not political in nature, then go to CNN or FoxNews or MSNBC or whatever news outlet you so choose and click on their Politics tab - they are right there for your reading and most provide a section for you to comment on... We have been told (the post is still on the main board titled 'Forum Behavior') to NOT partake in political discussions... I don't know how much clearer they could be.

And yes - ALL forum participants can 'moderate' that is why every post has a 'report' link assigned to it...

The Moderators aren't on every thread 24/7/365 that is not logical. All I did was ask that it stop... nothing more. If you took it as more than that, then report the post to Jefferey, BoC, or Bob Keller and they will address it.
