Good Morning
We be getting more rain, again.....and, another dull day for our viewing pleasure...
Got a lot of yard work done yesterday...day before that was our marathon operating session...ran until something like...oh...4:30...AM Saturday ....
Going to church in a bit then off to the mall...maybe see the gang at our diner later on...
Have a good day!

Morning. Cloudy and maybe some rain. More rain tonight and tomorrow. We need it. Chance of showers through Friday but the % drops as each day goes by.
Garden planted. Got some tomato plants already growing out the top of the baskets. No little tomatoes on them like last year's. Think that is because the temps stayed lower this year. Last year, the temps were higher as we had early spring.
Off to Sunday School. A few things here and then lake house for a few [I'm sure grass needs mowing].
Have a great week.

Gray, foggy, damp, but warm @ 54 degrees already. Going to be cloudy all day. Yesterday was wonderful on the North bluff. Finished mowing the southeast end even wet because It rained last night and I knew it would only get worse. Fired up the grill for steaks yesterday but not till I removed a large mouse house that had been there most of the winter. The little rat ate right through the cover in two places that the wife had to sew back up.
Good NASCAR race last night, I hope it did not keep Chuck up too late. Kevin pulled it out in the last laps.
Dennis No problem, a defrag and disc cleanup will make a big difference if you have not done one.
Daughter and grand kido are coming over later today and Lexi may spend a few days with Grandpa.
Maybe some layout work later.
Prayers for those in need,

Chief I won't see a good eating tomato till the middle of July.
No news, no plans, oh except granny's Red Wings got a playoff spot. We don't expect them to advance, they just aren't that good this year.

Mornin' boys. 61 and headed for this evening in the Mid-Atlantic region. The pollen is choking everybody as of late.
Well, the "GIRLS" have arrived; and they are gorgeous! Big L/LCCA really outdid themselves with this set of GENERAL/TEXAS. Wifey asked why don't I look at her like that... I told her I named them Ginger and Mary Ann. Because, if I were marooned on an and could have only 2 engines... Wifey's eyes rolled back at that one. Will have to do a special thread in the near future describing this set.
KRM - Only $29.42...? I question your commitment to this whole recycling thing...
Zero Export - Lots of S out there. May want to check out Northwoods Flyer thread on American Flyer. Hey, got any 19th century stuff you want to "thin" out...?
Charlie - Hey, need you to fix my windex on the yatchet when you can... Only 40 feet up.
Good Morning All!
Sunny and 63 right now going up to 70. Nice! Unfortunately there is a 50% chance of rain for our game tomorrow night in da Bronx.
Pulled a good 10 hours at work yesterday and will go in later today also as work has piled up with some deadlines are due, so Hi Ho, off to work I go!
Still a chance to relax this morning, run some trains, read the pot and chill.
RJ - We've all been there before about "pulling the trigger. Unfortunately it gets easier. Spend, spend, spend. Just be careful. You want to do it right the first time but you still have to watch your spending. Good luck.
Kev - My daughter is really starting to show as I expect yours is too. Being it's our first all is abuzz. She is the star of the show these days.
Have a good one all.

Ray, you bet she is showing. She has the bad mood to go with it to. This child will be grand child number 6 for us so it is SOS here. One more to add to the birthday and Christmas list.
Well I have to clean up the basement and get part of the table running before they arrive.
Fife, I will do my best to improve the recycling effort. Can't wait to see the Generals.
Good Afternoon:
I have been away from here since Wednesday so it took me over an hour to catch up. Nothing exciting here and everything is well.
Rich: Belated . for Nora's Dad, Family and you and your family.
Banks: I hope that you and the wife are over the bug.
Refire, Jim: Glad the Mustang is working out.
Brutus: Diet Pepsi and Oreos! Hope the van problem is not a major expense.
Submmbob: Good Luck with the Daewoo.
RIJack: I can imagine your frustration with the video!
SPMan, Ray: Happy Belated Birthday to your wife.
RT: Fires can really put you on edge. I agree with Jack.
Doug M: It all depends in where the rust issues are with the Mini-Van. If it is in a structural area, a crush zone or and area of HSS or HSLA steel they may have to be replace and not repaired.
RJ, Charlie Brown: I enjoyed looking at your pics on the mono tower. Reminded me of work from which I am now retired.
Jeffrey: The Pathmark Engine! They sell the sets at the Pathmark Supermarkets here in NJ. I saw them during the Holidays.
Everyone have a great day.

Zero Export - Best to book a table at a local train show, and sell your overstock at blowout prices. You won't miss it, and the monies you generate will help expand your S empire.
SJ and RT, will not be back until the evening of May 1. Hint Hint.
Good morning all,
Kev, think I will make a note of that defrag thing mentioned to V8. My computer gets clogged up with garbage too.
Train meet yesterday (TCA). Lightly attended but interesting.
ATSF Steam engine #3751 ran yesterday between L.A. and San Bernardino. Did not watch it since I went to train meet but lots of pictures on the internet anyway.
Got my latest issue of Classic Trains magazine yesterday and was pleasantly suprised to see one of my favorite railroads from my youth featured. It was the Original Norfolk and Southern Railway, not to be confused with the present day NS. Had color photos of the early Baldwin diesels used by the road and a photos of a train I rode once to grandma's house. The line ran from Norfolk, Va. to Raleigh and Charlotte, N.C. It crossed a spectacular five mile long wooden pile driven trestle across the Albemarle Sound. This article and photos are a rare bird. Have to send thanks to the magazine.

Fife, off the top, its gonna finance the apartment i have to build in my warehouse. for me. I was gonna cheap out and just paint the block walls, but, if i am going to do the 5 to 7 year plan, it might as well be nice . i may sell off my tractor collection as well, first well before trains. AND i will have room for a mid sized layout.
gota run
The temp is 53 with lite rain/drizzle most of the day.
My cousin and his wife came by this afternoon so we went out to eat and then had a short visit with our oldest son and family. Dental cleaning in the morning, yea it's my turn. Banilla is ready...S.J.
Fife,
I was contributing Extra Gold cans to the recycling effort, but Yuengling bottles are moving out now. Need it after this past week. Get 88 moving on the pictures.
John,
I am just glad there wasn't any drama from the other party. They admitted they were at fault instead of taking the approach that is common in society now. Just wish I would've "fixed" the hood before taking it for an estimate. That fake scoop from the original owner doesn't sit well with me.
Ryan,
Give ebay a shot. I moved out a lot of my impulse buys, duplicates, and other items that way. Getting started is the tough part. Once things start moving, it gets easier.
RJ,
Your photo reminds me of my time in the glass industry. I went from working on electronics and PCs in a shop to hanging off silos and other high places. I don't miss it at all.

Good evening all,
Cloudy in SE Indiana. Sorry to have missed yesterday's posting. Was up at 7:30 yesterday and did not get home until 11:00 PM. Went to a TCA meet, visited aunt, went to Mr. Muffins' train display in Carmel, visited pregnant daughter and her family, went shopping at some book stores, went to a benefit dance last night in my home town. Band was good, turnout was less than desired. Rested today. Busy day tomorrow as well. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Did some cleanup work on the layout today. It looks somewhat better. I put the new GP40 to work. It's on the head-end of a four loco consist of two GP40's (one Bachmann on GP38-2 chassis, one Atlas with Bachmann shell), a FM H24-66 (Atlas) and my U30E645 (Atlas). There are two other four loco consists on the layout awaiting their turn. One is made up of two Bachmann GP7's, a GP35 (rebuild) and a slug (Frankenloco). The other is made up of four FP7's. One is stock E-R Models power, one is a completely stock Atlas, one is an Atlas with PPW power and one is an Atlas with Athearn power.Well that's it for today. See y'all tomorrow.

Yard work all day! Took out three bushes and trimmed up a line of trees. No work on trains. However I finally did my final measurements and placed my order for track. Ended up going through trainworld. Ordered 6 o gauge 40" sections,32 0 gauge 054 curve sections,a z-1000 transformer, and a williams sd90 - mopac version. So now I need to find a caboose to match fairly inexpensively! I found a few on the bay but to costly at this time.
Hope everyone has a good night.
Hey RT I found this post! Took awhile to get here and get set up but im here. Still cant figure out how to upload photos. Im doing it all with iphone

Good Morning from Blueberryhill RR....
It is a cloudy 56 degrees. Going up to 70 today with rain this morning and then sunny this afternoon.
Today is a busy day. I have a bunch of chores to do and a project to work on. Lunch and a nap , for sure, will be nice.
Indians won the second game of the double-header, 10-3. FOX refused to televise the second game. Bad move.
Dining car is here with Cheerios for breakfast.
Y'all have a great Monday.

Well almost the last post of the day and first post of next.
Three letters for this morning .... FOG. Zero visibility at times coming into work. Going to be in the 60's today looking forward to the 70's for tomorrow.
Good morning. It's 60° with 100% humidity and dense fog. There will be some clouds and the high will be 82°.No plans for today. Whatever comes along I guess. I do need to open up the H24-66 and the U30E645. It's about time for their annual maintenance.
Bright sun and will hit the mid 70s today on the North Bluff 80s tomorrow then back down for the weekend.
Spent yesterday fixing things for the daughter. Vacuum cleaner, headlight, stuff like then some train time with the Kido. I have that 1992 Nissan UD1300 coming over today so I can repair the trans lines and then see what the dealer will give me for it. Will cut the grass later in the week before I get out of here for a few.
Have a good day.
Here is a picture from yesterday. Lexi's new Dora hat. Hats are required now in the wood till Tick dropping season is over.
Mornin' FellasStill haven't gotten around to the York pic. My parents were in town this past weekend and my father and I spent near all day Saturday building a frame for a mirror and shelf for Christina's room. We decided Saturday morning that 1x4s just didn't have the 'pop' we were looking for I did a websearch and found a local specialty lumber & millwork shop... that place is going to be VERY, VERY, VERY dangerous. Woods I have never seen or heard about before and all simply incredible!!!! Thought now is to build a coffee table and two end tables for the family room... years from now when the kiddos aren't climbing on everything and destroying everything. Mirror turned out fabulous, as did the shelf (but I failed to measure where the was going to go and it is 1 foot too long - so it is in the closet till we rearrange Christina's room).Yesterday I spent the morning cleaning up the garage, getting rid of some stuff, and moving some stuff to the shed, then mowed the lawn (Christina still does not like riding on the tractor when the mower is running), the got the rest of the downed limbs cutup and stacked on the firewood pile... screened porch is now free of wood on the floor and ready for Spring Cleaning in prep for Summer. Not much else going on... busy today, tomorrow, and Wednesday for Month End at work...

Brent,
I think that is a good thing that Christina does not like riding on the tractor when the mower is running. I have seen to many times where children have been severely injured wile riding on their parents lap when they are mowing the grass. Much better she stay far far away from the mower when those blades are spinning. Way too much opportunity for something bad to happen. They should know early on that mowers are not play things. I know a lot of people do but..........
JMHO.
