My left eye is really bugging me tonight. It's displaying all the symptoms of conjunctivitis. Pink eye for those lacking in understanding of medical terminology. I've been more or less expecting it. If it was going to appear it was a 90% chance to be in early spring with a high amount of pine pollen and this last couple weeks it' been heavy. Four days out of seven there was enough on the windshield of my van that I couldn't see through it. Using eye drops it should be cleared up in a week or two. Problem is my left eye is my good one. I have a bad astigmatism that makes me fairly blind on the right side without my glasses and the glasses warp things that I'm looking at close-up. That's going to put a crimp in anything that requires a straight line.

I put the F unit trio of Frankenlocos in the display rack today. That leaves the layout to a consist of four FP7's and a consist of two GP7's, a GP35 and a slug. The FP7's got a good run today. Nothing else was done on the layout.

Time for me to call it a night. See y'all tomorrow.

Evening all. not a lot going on here tonight. Just sitting around was a slow but busy day off and on today. Helped wife paint the bathroom. Looks good actually slowly but surely the whole house needs it. been here 5 years and you know they use cheap paint when trying to flip a house just so it looks good to sell.

Got my NYC Hudson in today and I'm very pleased with it. turned smoke off as were not big on smoke looks nice but the smell gets to us. Especially me with using a inhaler for a bit.

Took wife to store to get a few things turn out to be Wal-Mart then Lowe's and finally Adi ( a so called discount food store. )

Waiting for the tardis crew.

Won an auction then it turned out not to have everything so I told the seller just refund my money please. Stated new in box only out for pics but then I questioned after winning if it had the cab 1 that came with those sets and no its missing told him please cancel auction and refund my money please which he did.

Oh well not a lot else going on for now.

Hello all,

First off Welcome to KEVINK22  as the Clampet's would say............ sit a spell, take your shoes off. Y'all come back now, y'hear?

The Seafood buffet was slow last evening. I didn't hear the count but I'll be surprised if it's over 600. When the count is low we still put out a lot of food because it's easy to go back through the line. (it is all you care to eat)

On a more unpleasant note the headline in today's paper was disturbing. It seems our Parish's pastor has been accused of sexual misconduct with a minor in the 90's...............................

Not sure what the rest of the weekend will bring.

Prayers for those in need

Just popin in to say hi, I skimed the last few days of posts, hope to catch up tonight.  I have been busey and really sick.

It was all could do to get her at the airport yesterday.  I threw up so vionlently last night I pulled a musscle or some thing in my back.

Then I have to listen to her go on and on about the fact I did nothing while she was away.  I guess I am not entitled to some time off anymore.

Temp is 31, and cloudy.

Well I had a nice chat with RT last night, Brutus must have been playing with his zombies. He showed up just as I stumbled out of the Tardis. For our "Other Forum" readers, I had a fried egg and Spam sandwich for breakfast. Happy weekend to all...S.J.

Good morning. It's 60° with 100% humidity. The high will be 75° and there's a fair chance of getting wet.

No hard and fast plans today. I might do some cleanup work on the layout later. Otherwise it's looking like stay off the feet kind of day.

Hello all

Worked on my buddy's Daewoo today. Cylinder head is back on, but the torque sequence is kind of interesting. Will need to do some more research there. Tomorrow, I hope to get the new timing belt on and the engine mount back in. Then he can clean out the oil pan.

Think I figured out the problem. He put autolite plugs in a GM engineStick out tongue

Jack - good to hear from you!

DougM  - incoming...

Mike - good news on your daughter and thoughts and prayers for the family.

Jeffrey - will see what I can find in 1/96 scale CorvairsWink

Car is running fairly well BTW. Need to put in the electric fuel pump up front @ some point. Will help w/ fuel boil off.

No more RR cars in today. Maybe tomorrow.

Hope to assemble the 'new' bike later this weekend.

Konnichiwa,

I was able to sleep in until 0930 this morning.  I was the last one to wake up.  I took the kids for a quick 1-mile run (pushed the 2 y/o in a jogging stroller) and came home to a big breakfast/brunch.  The wife made eggs, bacon, sausage, and biscuits and gravy.  She makes the biscuits and gravy from scratch which makes them even better.  The weather is pleasant and after I finish some schoolwork I’ll do some more work on the playhouse.  The wife will be playing Bunco tonight with the rest of the wives from my office.  That means the kids and I will be on our own so who knows what will happen.

BOC – I need to move near you; I wish we still had snow.

Jack – I’m glad all is well with you.  You are a very generous and caring man; your family is truly blessed.  It's too bad you bring yourself down by liking those Sox. Laugh

Mike C. – It’s great to hear your daughter is doing well.  You and your family are in my prayers.

Sayonara,

Joe

Buckeye. Good point  I was thinking  I  just don't want our escape don’t end up like the last shot in the movie Macon County Line. Surprise

Long day, we have the munchkin so they don’t have to worry about her during Jerry’s funeral tomorrow. She would just be too much to handle at 30 months old. It will work out better this way.

Time to put Lexi down for the night.

Catch you guys tomorrow.

I went to the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery today and registered for internment there when that time comes. There are after all many more days behind than there are ahead. I hope I don't have to make another trip to town and back before the first of the month. I'm pretty low on gas. With that minor chore done I went to my fathers place and had lunch with him. Chicken pies, mashed potatoes, corn, broccoli and some small potatoes about the size of walnuts. I then talked him into letting me have his Blue-Ray player. He's had it for a couple of years and never once opened the box. It was one of those things my mother bought on QVC. She was always buying stuff just to be shopping. I have it hooked up here and it works great! Very little done on the layout today.

Time for me to call it a night. See y'all tomorrow.

Hello. Nice to finally get on today.

Not a whole lot to do today. Did some more body work on the ol' P-38J. Still plenty of body work to do on it, but I'm going to be able to do some more painting on it soon.

Happy Anniversary Chief & Pam

Major fire in township Wednesday night....Got to bed at 945 that night, was up at 1100 for ladder assignment, turned out to be a false alarm, back in bed by 1200 midnight.  Up at 0120 for fire, got back to the station, got trucks back in service off to shower and shave then to work.  Saving grace was it was half day for me.  Got home at 230, napped until 5, ate then off to firehouse for drill then home at 9.

Wild and woolly...I used to do those all nighters when I was younger....forget it now....OMG I was so tired I did 2 cups of joe...I usually only do 1 per day..... made it through.  1 injury, some dope left his helmet in the truck and go whacked with a hose coupling...4 stitches.  Occupant got out with her dog.  I heard her cat was missing...can't confirm it, though.

Work tomorrow...if the blinkin' car starts Bang Head...almost wouldn't let me go home tonight...and my parts are in Edison....stupid USPS........I paid extra for Priority shipping.

Brent  -  good talk!!! Thumbs Up

off to bed

Mike C. / CheapClassics:

Keep your head up. It will get better.

This is hard for me to say because, I, like alot of you guys, am whallowing in my own misery

An Old American Indian once told me this, and I think theres merit to it:

We have all allready survived the WORST day of our lives.  That was the day we were born,

Why is this you wonder? Think about this.   You just popped out of your mother, your BROKE your HUNGERY,  your soaking WET, your NAKED, you have no CLOTHES, you have no MONEY, your COLD, and then, someone you never met, nor did anything to, picks you up and slapps your butt.

That is the WORST day you will ever endure.  yes here and there we'll run into one or more of the above, but never all of them at the same time.

My food for thought for today

Ryan

Jeffrey: I hope your knee is doing better.

Brutus: Jim, I hope you and the family feel better.

Demay, Joe: That will be great if you can make it to York in October.

Buckeye: Good luck with the doctors.

Mike C: Prayers for your situation and your daughter's recovery.

Fife: Contiued prayers for Alexis.
