Konbanwa,

I don’t have much to report today.  The weather was chilly, work was busy, and we had pork chops for dinner.

8N – Did you mean your wife’s dad’s 100th birthday?  Or are you a gold digger? Laugh

V8 – I’m glad you were able to see the doctor and that it was a simple diagnosis.

AF Ray – I’m glad you’re feeling better.  That will be a crazy day for sure.  It looks like DJ will be on the DL for the opener.

Sayonara,

Joe

Evenin' All.

Proverbial 10#'s in the 5# bag the past four days, although part of Sunday had some veg-out time. Just been to pooped to post. First half of today was cooking for the BetterHalfs hen party, second half was mountain goat weed pulling and the third was was finishing a rehab on a couple of Liionel engines for the Kid's Club.

Saturday we are going to take the Kid's Club Ops to the next level, we will be running multiple trains on the same mainlines using DCS and TMCC.

Continued prayers for our Princesses. Ryan, Hang in there, you've got a big support group here if you ever feel the need to talk.

Time to call it a nite.

Good morning all! (it's 12:52am here)

It's been a rough two weeks here as I've had two bouts with separate a cold. Coughing so bad I'm up all night getting maybe 2 hours of sleep when you add it all up. ENOUGH ALREADY!

How's everyone's MARCH MADNESS bracket? Red like mine?

Ryan - Sorry to hear about your troubles. These events are certainly a HUGE step. Hope all goes well.

Chief - Happy belated anniversary.

HudsonJohn - I need some help with a box at my house. Seems to have my name on it. Must have been miss-directed!

Laz - Great pic! But I think the papers might have gotten it wrong. With so many suspects I wonder if they dusted for fingerprints? Looking forward to another long walk at York!

JoeD - Next Monday is the Home Opener! We will be there. Don't know if you heard but the schedule makers also planned for the Met's home opener to be the same day and time! Crazy! It'll be interesting to see thier attendance.

KevinK22 - Welcome! Like must of us here I also went through Little League with our kids. It's great and usually the only thing that get's in the way of fun are the adults. Keep the stories coming. Anytime you feel like coming over to the dark side I can send you an application. Us Yankees fans will gladly take you in.

LV - I also saw that series on History channel. Really enjoyed it. J. D. Rockefeller had a large impact in our history while also used trains as his pawn. Good luck with the paper.

V8Dennis - Good luck with your leg and hope there's nothing too serious.

Kev - Your layout is what I like best about this hobby. The ability to re-arrange or add to it whenever you want. It would be a sad thing to be "done" with it.

RIJack - How do you feel about your Saux this year? Any new kids on the horizon?

Back home after a quick trip to Michigan.

We went to my wife's 100th birthday celebration on Friday.  He got there the hard way - only counts ONE birthday per year, unlike SOME of the folks here on the Pot.  Good time had by all.

On Saturday, we visited mom.  She is doing OK.

We then enjoyed the snow in St Louis on Sunday.  We called it quits after narrowly dodging two accidents in about ten minutes.  Finished the trip today.  I-70 was snow covered and slippery, but passable.  Without the traffic, we would have kept going.

All for now.

Howdy guys - just a nice Monday for me as I took a vacation day after the snow storms yesterday and last night.  I just cleared the driveway and did some laundry, goofed off all day.  Back to work tomorrow, though.  A friend at work will retire at the end of the week and I'm a little stressed about it.  It's a rising tide of guys and gals I've worked with for 20 plus years all retiring now.  Sigh.  TARDIS is ready!

RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

Kev: Sounds like progress on the layout. The way this weather has been, the day I put the snowblower away, we will get a foot!

 Thanks John,

It is getting there.  I now have two places where I can park a train with a very long consist. Smile but only one at a time but still cool.  Once I am happy with everything I can take it all apart and start the landscaping. Bang Head When I do that I am going to put the 42" cruve back in the south end north side so I can still run the south end like it used to be. Wink Slow but sure. Retirement is good. Whistling

BTW,  I am pulling the plow off tomorrow. Surprise

Chief: When you mentioned about taking care of the rust on Frankie's boat trailer, I got to thinking. I get 15 years out of a trailer with the saltwater. And these are galvanized trailers. they rot from the inside out including the axel. So my 1980, 18' Dixie (Yes, Built in NC) Center Console that I bought new is on it's 3rd trailer and 2nd outboard.

Have a Great Evening,

Good Evening! The temps are 34. A nice wintry mix coming down, mostly rain.

A day of indoor chores, a little grocery shopping and a nice running session.

Ryan: Good luck with the divorce. We are hear for you.

SPMan, Ray, Not a bad dentist report. My dentist would have taken care of that cavity then to get it over with. But it also pays to have grown up with him.

Jake: That P-38 sounds real nice.

Have a Great Evening!

Good afternoon all,

Ryan, sorry to hear about the divorce.  Hope things turn out better for you.

Went to Dental hygentist this afternoon and they found one cavity so have to come back in a couple of weeks to fill that.

Slow day here, talk to you later,

Ryan, I kinda of thought so, but in the end you will be better off. It took me three shots at it before I found the right gal and at times I even wonder now. Hmm The big Ds all start out good but then spiral into He(( so be ready. You don't have kids right? That is a big help but it is never easy. All of the questions you ask yourself about WHY will be a waste of time. Just turn you head and walk away knowing it will be better down the road. Like my dad told me it is the f ing you get for the f ing you got. Smile, Wink & Grin

There is always another mountain. Yes Smile Best of luck. We are here for you just ask Rich.

Train news.

All of the north end addition wiring is done. The inner loop spur and outer spurs can now be powered or shut down and the switches are also wired to the mail console. Only Thomas loop is run from the north end transformer table.

The snow is melting fast and I never got out the tractor to plow.

See U later.

Good afternoon.

Hudson, No unfortianatly, not, just a local one called Fire Mountian, they are some how in bed with The old Country Buffet and another buffet place called Ryan's

Looks like our snow has fizzled out, its still comming down, but melting faster than its falling. roads are clear. I don't even think I am going to plow the lane tonight

Any way, looking like I'll be at work all day, and some how the heater in my office got turned off on friday, and any one that has electric baseboard heat, knows that it will be another day or so till its even close to warm in here.

Thanks for all the Prayers and wishes of luck on the decisions I have on my plate. Unfortianatly, the decisions  that make the most sense for me, involves serious emotional and possible finacial tolls on one of the parties involved. And no mater what I choose, it will involve serious "Life Changing" changes for me.  Kinda at that fork in lifes road, and have set up camp cause I don't which way to go.

talk later

Good Almost Noon! 35 and a mix of Rain/Sleet/Snow @ the Jersey Shore.

I have been MIA for the weekend. Friday, Doray and I spent a great day just having lunch at the German Butcher, Touring and Tasting at a couple of local wineries and a nice dinner at a local bar/restauraunt. Saturday, my son and I spennt the day working on our tractors and his lawn equipment and then Doray and I went to our nephew Brian's for dinner for a Russian dish prepared by his wife Leza. Sunday my son and I continued getting his equipment ready, Doray came home from the Ice Cream Shop, we had a nice dinner and relaxed by the fire. Today is a goof off day, ran some trains this morning. No school this week!

KEVINK22: Welcome to the Pot! Prepare to take a ribbing from the Yankee Fans. All in fun!

Jeffrey: Hope your eye gets better soon.

Mike: Continued prayers for your daughter, good it was good news.

Fife: Prayers for your Princess. I have been lucky with my 2 with the tats.

Ryan: Good Luck with what you are going thru. The Buffet was not Shady Maple by any chance?

Kev: Grandpa taught her well!

SPMan, Ray, Continued prayers for your friends.

Dennis: I hope the leg problem is not serious.

Banks: Careful driving!

Laz: LOL, Darn Rodent! You are right, retirement is great! No more going in when it snows. Sit back and relax.

Bo: How is the new transformer working out? My wife pointed it out to me and suggested that I should think about upgrading! Hmm

Demay, Joe: I remember the Little league Days quite well with my son and the Girls Softball with my Daughter. Enjoy, They go quick.

Everyone in harms way from this storm, be careful.

Have a Great Day!

Good Morning All,

Had a good weekend.  This morning got the chores done and after posting will settle into some work on the railroad.  It's about 27 degrees out and they are predicting flurries throughout much of the morning.  Put food out for the birds so they're seemingly happy.

Kev -  like the progress you are making on the railroad.  Saw your photos on SPF. Thumbs Up

KevinK22 -  welcome to the Pot!

fifedog - hope the little one continues to do well.  Continued prayers.  Angel  I appreciate your concern about the tattoo thing.  I've never much been into them, thought about it a time or two when I was in the Corps, but always decided against it.  I basically told the kids, no tattoos while under my roof.  When they were out on there own then it would be their decision if that was what they wanted to do.  Two of the three later chose to get one.  I pretty much agree with Mike C., in the big scheme of things, there are much worse things.

Zero Expert - read about the life changing decisions and hope all will work out well.  No doubt you will get through it all.

V8Vega - hope that leg is ok.  I think it is a good idea that you are going to have it checked out.

laz 57 - funny, but I would have told him not to take it so hard, it's hard to get it right 100% of the time.  Tongue Tied  No pileups on the railroad, is always a good and satisfying thing!  Hope your luck continues to hold!  When I have one it almost inevitably comes down to human error, which means me!  Hmm  Bang Head

Have a great day guys!  Bo Smile

Good mroning all,

It is snowy in SE Indiana.  Came in to work to check on one item and it finally worked.  Very few co-workers made it in today.  Should be quiet day, I hope.  TBIL and I can drive.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Temp is 32 with cloudy skies.

Laz, too bad about Phil. He should have stuck around and suffered like the rest of us. The snow missed us but I would guess places south of Detroit probably got some. It looks like a stay at home day...S.J.

Good morning from the North Bluff,

GOOD ONE LAZ!!!  Laugh

2" maybe 3" of the white stuff. I am not going to bother to plow. The wife is off on spring break and the truck is 4x4 so we are good. I have to go to town to ship a package so Sandra and I will do brunch at Val's place. Not much else on the plate. I am going to wire up some things on the layout and order landscaping material so I can get started next week on that.

I thought the end of the NASCAR race was good considering they are Taxicabs according to some.  Huh?  And let the boys fight it out, all the more fun. Black Eye  Better to watch  than the so called civilised European style American don't touch me racing. Zzz They both cost to much to attend anymore if you ask me. Super Angry

Well off to town,

You guys have a good day.

Good morning. It's 33° with 82% humidity. The high will be 55°.

It's somewhat frigid here by our standards. If I wanted this kind of weather I'd climb into the fridge or move up north. A freeze watch will be in effect tonight until 9am tomorrow.

Depending on how well I can see today I may get a few items on the layout put away. I also have to look at clearing out some of the junk under the layout so I can get access to the rear of the east side and start setting up the principle parts of the grain elevator I've been working on for so long. It may be a busy day. On the other hand I may do nothing at all.

Good Morning from Blueberryhill RR....

It is a snowy 34 degrees. Only about an inch on the ground. Going up to 36 today with , hopefully, no more snow.

Today is a busy day. Wife will be gone this morning and I will be doing chores. I have a small project to work on. Lunch and a nap, later.

I think the snow cannon has a warped barrel.  Time to put it in moth balls.

Dining car is here with Cheerios for breakfast.

Y'all have a great Monday.
