Good Monday afternoon….
Loooong weekend….Was in Newark to pick up a friend of my daughters (US Army active duty) who flew in from Korea….at midnight , got home at 0230 after he got his room. Got up at 0400 and caught train to Newark for my 0615 appointment for the New Jersey Devils blood drive at the Prudential Center. Make the 0725 train back to Princeton Jct., and to work by 0900 (just barely). Slept a few hours, then left to visit a friend in North Jersey…..and fell asleep ….. woke up at 0500, got about 1 hour sleep, then off to church (yes, it was Palm Sunday….). Afterwards, dropped off the Princess and her friend at the Princeton Jct. station for their trip to NYC. I then departed for the Greenburg Show in Edison….arrived at 1100 and stayed until closing. I purchased some parts for my 2026 project and the new Lionel catalog. Then met my friend for dinner, then arrived home at 8 pm.
HudsonJohn & AFRay, me too....lots of stuff to look at....spent $40
Geez, I’m TIRED!!
Nice day today, albeit windy…in the 50’s right now and very breezy.
I’ll try to catch up on the pot….. for those ailing (Jeffery!) and in need….

Afternoon CTTFans!
Cloudy and cool but still no signs of Rain or Snow here but we will take after setting so many records last month which lead to the conditions that started the fire in the first place.

Afternoon all!
Got up early and went to sod place - had a big line! - got what I needed, got it home and got it laid out with time for a quick breakfast and at work by 8. Not bad. The wife is pleased. The sodded area looks good. I now have one more equally large area to grade out and hope to get that done during the evenings this week. This is complete the back yard rebuild - whew - finally.
Mike C and Jeffrey - hope things look up/get better soon!
Cloudy here and supposed to rain tonight. 70's
looking forward to York!
Regards, Roy
Good morning all,
Chief, could that big black metal steam engine be a Buddy L? You know they made those big trains for kids to sit on outdoors. They had track too. Maybe the thing would be worth a couple of bucks if it were restored. Reproductions have been made but originals are worth more I would guess.
Well, it's Easter week already. Thinking about picking up one of those spiral cut smoked hams at Costco like I got last year. Sure was a lot easier to serve.
Grandson out of school this week. My son took him to the movies today.
Doug Murphy, glad you made it back to Illinois safely. Sounds like a lot of driving.
Congratulations to Bob Keller. Love the Train Box feature.

We had a great time at the Greenburg Show yesterday. AF53, my son and I checked out every table, for the show was not that crowded. Held back buying for york is 2 weeks away.
Rich, sorry we missed you.
Bob congrats on 16 years at CTT.
Fife, Enjoy the yachet.
Jeff, Hang in there and I hope it passes soon.
Thoughts and Prayers for all in need.

Good morning. It showing 72 and cloudy. High will be 80 with heavy chance of 60% rain. My aphasia is giving me a hard time today. It causes everything I hear to be jumbled up and it also jumbles what I want to say. It's something I've had pretty much all my life. It's a repeating pattern so I was able to be taught how to deal with it, decode the jumble if you will. Usually I do a great job of keeping it under control. Today it's controlling me . My speech comes out like a scrambled salad at times and what I hear always sounds like a scrambled salad anyway and compounds the problem. Phone conversations can get really interesting. I won't attempt to describe the mechanics of the problem as most people can't understand it anyway. How can they understand it if it never happened to them. But if you're curious just look up global aphasia. Google will tell you much more than you want to know about it. Anyways that's the bright spot of my day. It seems my virus bug has returned or maybe I caught a new one. Little sleep and high fever last night with many bathroom trips for variety. For most that's not much of a problem but when you're disabled it gets really interesting to say the least. I hope I don't have another night like that soon. Today will be rest and sleep if it will come.

Good morning everyone. Getting ready to head in as I am on call. Have to do some tidying up as if I don't, wife will and then I will never find my stuff. She is not vindictive or anything like that, we just think differently and when she cleans up, her purpose is to make things look nice, mine is to be orderly so I can complete projects.
Congratulations Bob on sixteen years at CTT! I for one enjoy your additions to the magazine and to the website. Bob's train box is a feature I look forward to seeing. Also, your even-handed oversite of the forum is welcomed. Thanks for liberties such as the coffee pot to share our lives beyond the trains....somewhat.
Well, I have some work to get to.

38 and bright sun, finally.
Charlie does my avatar for me as I am computer challenged. I ask him to switch them now and then if he remembers. Doesn't have to be trains. He will probably bring some pics back from York. Wow only 2 weeks away. We will be taking Brutus to Strasburg on Wednesday 18th, show him around, warned him to bring Very comfortable shoes. I'm on my own during the day this week which means a trip into that scary kitchen. TTFN....S.J.

Aloha from a sunny Chicago where the temps might reach 61. Took one of the kid's scooters to work. I was the one zipping down the sidewalk, coattail flying, scattering pigeons, trying to keep my hat on my head. (I bring out the ice skates in winter - the free rink is a block away - and the scooter in the spring) Long conversation last evening with my soon-to-be-18-years-old son about his upcoming post-high school choices. I think my wife does these better than me. Roy, I thought I saw a Lionel banner at the race! Great avatar SJ!Congrats to Bob Keller on his 16th anniversary at CTT!

Morning. Beautiful morning. Warm and sunny. Will do some electrical work in the Box. Replacing crummy old [unknown] "block" type breakers with normal GE. May disk the garden up and get it ready for raised beds. Wifey got a big metal black steam engine type train from her Uncle [a "junk" dealer] to go outside at the Box. County Commissioners later. Then Town Board.
Have a great week. [thanks Buckeye as SS due next week]

Konbanwa,
We had very nice weather today; although, it was a bit windy at times. The workday seemed to fly by pretty quickly which was nice. I spent about 90 minutes of the afternoon at an annual dental appointment: the usual exam and cleaning. The dentist gave me a good report but the hygienist told me to floss more often. She is right. The wife made baby ribs for dinner tonight. I typically like to smoke or grill the ribs, but she has a very good method for slow cooking the baby back ribs in the oven. I cannot argue as they always fall of the bone and I didn’t have to make it. I have a weekly school assignment to start and then I need to get some sleep. I should be able to watch the championship game at the office tomorrow morning.
Jeffrey – Thanks for sharing another great video.
SJ – I hope the dam was built without any problems.

Good Morning from Blueberryhill RR....
It is a sunny 46 degrees. Going up to 70 today with some sunshine.
Today is a busy day. I have a few chores to do and a project to work on. Wife is grocery shopping today. Gas here is $3.99 a gallon. We used one tankfull in the month of March. That's pretty good.
Dining car is here with Cheerios for breakfast.
Y'all have a great Monday.
Chuck
Mornin' FellasGot a little more done on the mountain over the weekend. I changed to the ceiling tiles on the right, built up about 5 - 6 inches, looks real good! Now have to switch to other tunnel portal, get it set in position, painted and then start building that side. Will then only have to work on the middle section. Will post pics in Building Mountains thread tonight or tomorrow.Need to clean the house... real dusty and causing major issues with family's allergies.
It is cooler in SE Indiana after some overnight rains. Stayed up and worked on taxes some more. Did find out Conway was 9th in points. Not sure how, but that did brighten the day some what. I had the regular fare on the dining car before sending it on to "Points East". TBIL and I can drive. No barrel rolls tonight. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Hi GUYZ,
40 here and a bit breezy. Tried fixing an older Lionel conventional steam engine with the hole in tender to allow the whistle to blow. Took off the shell and tried whistle it works well with shell off. But when you put the shell on no whistle just the motor running but no whistle. Anyone know anything about these whistles? There is 2 holes on the underside of tender to gather in air for whistle.
SIR JAMES Love the avatar. What a set you got there?
FIFE, no wOes fan but saw lots o games at Municipal stadium. Love that old place.
DOUG M, welcome back! Was worried about you.
18 more days and its YORK for this dog.
Stay frosty,

Good Morning
We are going to be sunny today and a high of 52F is expected...
I am still grumpy from last night's 'misadventures'.......so I am leaving my out of this......let us put it this way....when having a few brewskies it is better not to operate as well......and I include myself in this...
This day will be getting a few things done around the backyard..we still need to clean up all the detritus from the previous few weeks of storms and such around here...then see about whether the mower will actually start here...backyard grass height? ....7 inches....

Hey Chief, that's what I thought because I remember posting on here really early on and I've been on since back then, so... I knew for sure we were on before 2006 because I remember working at home then and I would check on here a few times a day to keep from going "stir crazy" Get a little sanity from you guys
Well, I dug out some rose creepers from down around the trees and one volunteer tree. My legs were still tired from yesterday and it was hot out, so I didn't get as much done as I had hoped. Got cleaned up and we all went shopping as a family. My wife's old laptop should be fixed tomorrow for about $80. She's giving that one to our daughter and bought a new one with windows 7 & etc for herself. It was a belated birthday thing, but also to make up for my trip to York (a bit - lol!), so it's all good. Kids wanted to stop at B&N and Gamestop, then we hit McAllister's for sandwiches, I set up her new laptop, and just had a nice chat with the guys. Busy day!
TARDIS is ready, so let's get moving guys. Ciao!
RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.
Good evening all,
IIABSDISEI with temps in the 70s. Ever had a day you wish you could rewind and start over. Lucas and his sister are in one big "conversation" concerning certain aftereffects from his recent events. Patience is one virtue I never passed on to the kids unfortunately. While inspecting the evergreens for new growth, I noticed some odd aspects to them. Turns out the neighbor kids had hacked a path between the two rows. Made a real mess. Talked to the parents who live in the duplex and they assured no more activity will take place there. Even had the police over and they said they would patrol the area for awhile as well. Kids don't realize how badly hurt they could get. Conway got a 7th for AJ today, which is better than last week, but not quite as good as I was hoping for. Right now, life is not good for the Mikester. I hope everyone has a good day.
Time for me to call it a night. See y'all tomorrow.
Hi guys,
Happy April fools day and Palm Sunday.
Hi guys from Fargo ND,
Uneventful drive of just under 10 hr. 643 miles.
Just finished up dinner at TGIF Fridays and will not have to report till 11:30 so I can un-drive myself and not have the driving jitters in the morning.
SJ like the Avartar. You hold those engines like I do the grandkids.
RT and Brutus I like yours too. Devil cats.
Welcome back DougM sounds like you have covered more ground than me,

Evening all!
Busy day today. Got the 4 sprinkler heads reset to the lower elevation the area is at - took a bit of creative plumbong on one. Went to get sod and all 3 locations I can usually get it at were out. One said they would have more at 7 am tomorrow morning - fresh from Houston area.
Grilled some Tilapia tonight - son joined us for dinner!
Watched the NASCAR race - good one! - if you watched did you see the big Lionel banner trackside? Watching the NHRA race replay right now but that will be short lived as the wife will assume command control of the TV remote soon.
EDIT - whoops there it went!
Fife: I know what you mean with the 'paying' for mistakes with these things...I did have a 65 foot catamaran that a friend bought off of me when I bought my new house a few years back..back then we were doing the great lakes to caribbean trip via the intracoastal ..wish sometimes I could have kept that one....
------------------------------------------------
Good Evening...
We had another operating session tonight with about 4 people this time...and had 6 mishaps.......I am not going to recite them...
51 and still cloudy.
Good afternoon everyone. Finally home from FIL's house. Had a bad headache most of the time, so had my bride drive home. It did allow me to take notice of some scenery that I am planning to incorporate into the layout.
Don, glad it worked out for you. I sent you an email.
Chief, it has been a long time with the pot. We have met a number of fine people here. We have lost some friends, shared good and bad times with many, and been blessed by it all. I am thankful to CTT and you as well as so many contributers here.
Time for dinner and medicine to get rid of this head pain. Hope each of you has a blessed week ahead.

did goto to the flea market but they where out of my cheap bread so it was a lost for me. Wife did get some tomatoes thou.
Guess I could start working on making my loop on the ceiling seeing I have the track and I could actually drop down to O-42 seeing the passenger cars can handle that. Need to get proper screws and start predrilling my track. Boy guess I'm going to be busy come mid April when I'm off.
Listed some items on ebay that are just sitting around here. And one that I won and forgot I had bidded on and bidded on another item wanted instead lol
Well you all take it easy talk to you all later have a good one
