Mornin' boys.  Mostly cloudy & 57 here in the Mid-Atlantic region.  Sposed to get up to 80.  Wifey wants dinner in HavreDeGrace today (Rails & Sails CoolYeah).  Til then, laundry and perhaps a little gardening.  Spent a few hours at the dock cleaning the brightwork.  I will oil the teak one day before work this week.

Stay foamy. Pirate

Good Mornin' Ya'll From Crystal Clear Taxachusetts,

Had the 2 year old granddaughter for most of yesterday, wore us out!!!  She crashed about 6PM, slept through the arrival of my daughter, SIL, and other granddaughter for dinner, slept through dinner, and remained out like a light until they all pulled out of here around 9:20PM.  Daughter and SIL now want to know what our secret is for getting the one to nap for so long.  Whistling

Still dry as a bone here, can't figure out why all the rain everyone else is getting keeps missing us.

Maximus woke me up this AM at 6:30AM.  Apparently he perceived the Canadian geese invaders were back for another assault on the yard, and he was right.  So I let him out and he thwarted their invasion right near the edge of the property.  At the present rate my next door neighbor isn't going to have much of a lawn left except for a whole lot of dirt and geese poop.

Fifey......Happy B-DayThumbs UpCakefor Fifey Wifey.  Jewelry works every time!!!!  DougM.......Happy B-Dayc to your Drew, You have been quite the busy guy with B-days this past week!!!!

Dennis.......are you sure your wife is under the weather?  Or was this part of her master plan to guilt you into painting the living room? Prayers for her if it is the former.  Prayers for you if it is the latter, you got suckered again!!!!  Angel

Wife and I are off soon to help a friend with some stuff up in New Hampshire.

Later, gang.  Best wishes for you lucky Yorkies.

Jack

Good Morning from Blueberryhill RR....

It is a cloudy 60 degrees. Going up to 85 today with sunshine.

Today is an easy day. Wife is due home by noon, from her visit with daughter. I will take it easy and watch the ballgame. Indians won, again, yesterday. Looked like a street fight for a few minutes.

Dining car is here with Cheerios for breakfast.

Y'all have a great Sunday.

Howdy guys - rainy weekend so far and big storms are supposed to hit tomorrow.   Char and I went to a home and garden show at the local highschool.  We're going to try and get some bids for a retaining wall in the back yard.  Kids did chores too late, so we didn't get to dinner until 7-ish.  Ate too much, because I was starving - now I really feel blah.  Nice chat with Kev tonight.  Hope SJ and Charlie are having fun and also prayers for Jack.

TARDIS is ready, so let's get going :)

RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

Time for me to call it a night. Didn't do much today. Ran some trains, watched some documentaries about Pearl Harbor, ran some trains, watched a couple of videos about Titanic, ran some trains, backed up some files, ran some trains, did a little work on the layout, ran some trains and took a few photos. And once in a while I'd eat a sandwich or some rice. See y'all tomorrow.

I am tired!  Finished painting the formal living room.  I painted it a deep orange.....with the blue painter's tape for the moulding, it looks like a Lionel shop!  Once the paint dries, I will remove the tape and install curtains, etc.  then it will look good.  Kids helped a bit, which added a couple of hours, but the memories will last much longer.

Wife is ill, which doesn't happen too often.  She is much better at running everyday activities around the house.  When she is down, it is noticed!

Looking forward to services tomorrow.  Been a long week and it helps recharge my batteries.  Also hope to catch up with some friends who are visiting back from their mission assignment in Brazil.

Hope everyone has a blessed night.

Dennis

Good afternoon all,

It is stormy in SE Indiana with temps in the 50s.  Soccer called due to lightning.  Lots of rain today.  Been re-reading Atlas Shrugged.  Not as tedious as I remember.  Lots of train talk in it.  Did housework and went to Mass tonight.  For all the complaints from time to time about this site, this is way better than the new Indycar site.  It is atrocious.  I think SFHR's driver will be starting second, but have no idea where AJ's will be starting.  Going to get pizza and watch "Puss'n'Boots" on DVD tonight.  Grandkids will be here tomorrow for Easter.  I had bran muffins on the dining car for breakfast.  TBIL.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

Survived Friday the 13th but we got a good rain which we needed.  Maybe it will make it to Roy's neck of the woods too.

Happy birthday to Mrs. FifeHappy B-Day

Ran across the song "Do You Remember These" on you tube by the Statler Brothers.  If you grew up in the 50's and maybe into the 60's, check it out.  I think I remember everything they mentioned but I'm dating myself.

Need to get out in train room today following rain yesterday and polish some rails with running.

Group breakfast following church tomorrow at some restaurant in neighboring town.

That ham and beans dish I made yesterday turned out to be enough for an army.  Don't think I can eat it all before it spoils in the refrigerator.  Maybe I can convert it to nitro methane and sell it to the race car drivers.

Big car race at Long Beach today and tomorrow.  My youngest son is seeing it in person but the older one wants to see it on TV. Article in paper today about one of the Andretti kids, Marco, driving in it.  The old man, Mario and his son Michael will be there as advisors too I think.

later,

Ray

Good afternoon all!

BEAUTIFUL sunny day here at the Jersey shore!

We had a great day at the Stadium yesterday and before you know it we'll be back Monday night. Getting ready to spend a half day at work but I wanted to catch up on the pot when what to my surprise I see TRAINDOOD!

Traindood - Welcome back! Got some good news for you - Yankees win!

Jack - I believe that NJDevil is also a Yankees fan and you MUST include him on your list. Sure is bad news about Ellsbury. You can't afford that.

Kev - That station does look nice, congrats.

HudsonJohn - Like you and fishing, any day at the Stadium is better than a day at work!

OK, off to work.

Have a great day,

Ray

Aloha. Grey and cooler. Another birthday to celebrate today - for my now-18 year old.  Hope to catch a ball game later - kind of prefer to listen on the radio. Yum, that's a good breakfast Sir James!

Morning all.  Had the bible study dark early, now to get some painting done here.  Wife is sick, so I may have some other tasks to get to.

Doug m., I sent you an email...happy birthday to Drew.

Laz, is that a large leather bag?  I got one at a Friends of the NRA a few years ago.  It is a nice roomy bag.  Also, for York, that other sage advice usually shared by Fife, follow the arrows on the floor, they are there for a reason.

Gotta run, God bless

The thingy didn't show last night so I went to bed a little earlier than usual. Corn beef hash is on it's way for my breakfast...S.J.

Good morning. It's 67° and partly cloudy. The high will be 82°.

No plans for today. Just going to run some trains, watch a few few movies and some TV shows. Earlier I was running the Stewart F3 A/B set but I've parked them and am now running the GP38 and SD27J, Bachmann and Atlas respectively. The MoW crew still has to come back and clean up the mess they made when they ripped out a turnout yesterday. The debris is still piled by the track.

Mix of weather today.  Heavy rain and thunder storms this morning, cleared of to a nice sunny  65 degree afternoon.   Another bunch of storms is moving through tonight.  Looks like there is a squall line that will hit in another hour or so.

Feeling well enough to get back to work today.  About wore me out though.  Think I'll head for bed early tonight.

Time for me to call it a night. I got a little layout work done even if it was just ripping the diverging route rails and points out of a turnout and putting in a piece of straight rail to make it a piece of straight track with exceptionally wide ties. I'm currently watching an F3 A/B set (Proto 1000 shells on Stewart drives) pull a train around the layout. The A unit has a Mashima motor or maybe Proto Power West motor and the B unit has an Athearn blue box motor shoe horned into it. Both have Bachmann decoders and run very well. See y'all tomorrow.

Wow Blown Cylinder, that is the kind of story I would have expected from Jon, the Iowa horn blower!

Was a good evening.  Took kids to violin, then to a old style burger place called Checkers.  First time to this one and everyone enjoyed it.  Followed up with a trip to get ice cream to celebrate Andrew's birthday.

Going to hit the sheets as I have an early morning for a bible study.  It will be at a local plantation which is always great.  One thing we are doing is getting men into accountability groups.  The world is a tough place and it is a good thing to have help keeping us on the right path.

I got an email from the lady who is taking care of our son.  They will be celebrating his birthday on Monday.  I hope to get some updated photos to share then.  Brent, thanks for the kind words.  You too are blessed with a darling little one.

Have a blessed night

Dennis

Hello all,

This evening Mrs & I had  a nice dinner out and went to the AT&T store & got her a new cell phone.

Should I be able to join the York gang would it be appropriate to wear a back-back to carry a couple  bottles of water and purchases? I'm still planning on making the trip but I'm not committed 'till I get on the PA Turnpike at Breezwood next Thursday after w**k.

Getting the camper de-winterized is on the list of things to do this weekend.

cnw1995

Hope she lets me use a coupon for her dinner. Wink

Sounds like something I might do  Wink

Off to join Mrs in bed

60 now

Well did you all survive the 13th? I had Almond Chicken this afternoon and I'm still full. A lot of food for $5.25. We ran a few errands and I bought some stuff that's suppose to break down the tree stump so it will burn. I have used this kind of thing in the past and sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. I'll let you know in about 6 weeks. Granny's watching the Red Wings game and I will wait for the thingy crew..S.J..

Wings just won 3/2, granny is happy now.

SPMan

Jeffrey, glad you survived the latest battle with the tractor. You don't need that.

True as that is it's the one that's easiest for me to use as all the controls can be operated by hand, including the brake and the drive. My fathers Yardman is very hard for me to put in reverse as it has a foot pedal for that. It must be pushed straight down with the right foot. Guess what I can't do with my right foot. He also has the seat set and tacked in place for him and his legs are longer than mine. I'm like a little kid riding on the very edge of the seat just to reach the drive pedal and I'm 5' 7.5" with my right foot firm on the ground. If I straighten my left leg that goes to 5' 10.4" and there's almost 3" of daylight between my right foot and the ground. Remember the movie Police Academy? Bubba Smith driving a Honda Civic CVCC from the back seat? You get the idea.
