Good Evening,

Went to the Greenberg Show in Edison with my son today. The vendors were complaining about a poor attendance and not many sales. Well I walked away empty handed. A number of the regular vendors were not there and nothing really caught my eye. My son on the other hand bought a gondola and a couple of trucks and construction equipment for his section of the new layout that is just in the planning stage.

Thoughts and Prayers for all in need.

Good evening guys,

Colin, Glad to see you haven't forgotten how to identify diesels.

Brent, Sounds like you are enjoying fatherhood, that's as it should be.  She sounds like a real treasure.

Only read the last two pages so may have missed a bit.

Hope everyone has a great week.

Afternoon everyone,

Enjoyed a nice night out at the bars with a few friends last night...now just doing my best to not cry about the bar bill I am now stuck with!

Dennis: I absolutely love shooting the 870 Express which is why I'm going to end up buying one of them rather than any other shotgun. When I save up enough money I'm also interested in picking up a Stag Arms AR15, a Kimber M1911 (hopefully a Pro Covert II) and a few other firearms.

I'm currently editing a video montage of the CSX Trenton Line. I caught 11 trains yesterday and the highlights included an HLCX SD40-2 and a UP SD70M.

Talk to everyone later!

Colin

Aloha. A beautiful Sabbath. Worked as a video director for three church services. Sent the kids off to the grandparents. Now got to figure out why the router and all the TV remotes are acting funny.

Laz, thanx for the reminder. I gotta be more careful pushing those ZW handles. I have TMCC but when alone I still like transformer control.

64 overcast and 77 for today. We had some rain overnight so the grass will stay green, AND grow. A birthday party for grandson #5 this afternoon and that's my plan for today..2 toast w/crunchy peanut butter this morning...S.J.

Hi GUYZ,

Rainy here today for all the bicycle racers in town for the TOUR de MILLERSBURG. Big bicycle race with almost 300 bikers.  They zoom past our house on RR 25.  Pretty impressive site.  They go past all day long from 8 till about 3.

Going to go to CABELAS this afternoon to spend some free money by using my Cabelas card we earn points so we have about 250 bucks to spend.

SIR JAMES pace yourself with all that you are doing.  Don't want to see you tear a hammy or something.Wink

Another nice day in the mid 80's.

Moved my wife's sewing equipment upstairs today.  Not too bad a job, except that it expanded into a large cleaning and re-arrangement of non related items.  All for the better 'cause the wife is happy.

Buckeye - agree, the prep for that procedure blows!

Stopped at the LLHS yesterday.  Found out that delivery on my Santa Fe freight set is still another week out.  I did bring home the 2011 vol. 2 catalog.  Didn't see any 'gotta haves' though.  The smoke fluid gizmo is kind of neat - too steep a price for me, but neat.

All for now.

Brent,

I just had to do it.Big Smile  Believe me, I am guilty of the same thing.Indifferent

AF53,

I called the manager of the local Lowes last night after my post, and was treated to more of the same that I got the night before.Thumbs Down  Not cool.  I took the keys to the family run store in town, and they are the complete opposite of Lowes.  Friendly, helpful, and they only charged $1 to cut my 2010 blank. Thumbs Up  I'll go back to them whenever possible.

I went to Kennywood this afternoon for the picnic that was hosted by the company that my dad works for and got my coaster fix.  The lines were unbelievable long, but it was worth it.  I get to go to another picnic for the company that I work for this Thursday as well.

Has anyone seen the 726 sets in the new Lionel catalog?  I can't decide which one I like better.

Greetings from Saint Louis.  It was pretty hot here today.  Took it easy today - played some video games, talked with some friends, did a little shopping (got some wood for the basement and some other stuff), and now talking with John and Jim while we watch The Mask of Zorro.  Need to get some sleep tonight, as we stayed up too late last night watching a movie.  Tomorrow we have Church in the morning and then we might have another meeting from 4 to 6 at Church, not sure yet.  Also need to do laundry.  Wanted to work on the basement - but we shall see.

TARDIS is ready - let's get going!

Hi GUYZ,

We did lotta work here today, pulled weeds, cut up tree limbs and 4 pallets from stone veneer, power washed carport, purged pond watered garden then went to church, collected, came home had cook out then ran TRAINs for an hour and a half.  WOO HOO!! NO PILE UPs!!!  I needed a train fix.

BRENT, figures the only trooper you'd see be in NC.  Gee they should be out at these lakes down there looking for those STRIPPERS.

SPMAN RAY, yepper I guess the board of trustees came to their senses and said they'd have to replace all 79 tubes.  This way they'll get another 10 years hopefully?

Stay frosty bouyz,

Evening all

Beautiful in Southern Ohio.  We turned off the AC opened the windows.  It felt great.

Pulled weeds and cut grass today.   Served at Mass this evening service with a visiting Priest.

Life is busy but really fun.  Can’t remember the last time I was bored.  We gave a contractor the go ahead to get us on the schedule to rough in a room addition.   It will be a single story bedroom and bath.  It will become our bedroom and the girls will get our room.  Gabriel will stay in what was the train room.  With one bed in there we may get the layout in it.

SJ – Thanks for the info about the Marx switches.  I bought another set and track and switches came with it.

Brent & SQ & Christina – Hooray!

Starting to rain a little, good for the garden.

Good night and may God bless

Good Evening!

Lee, Angel for you and your Mrs.  Looks like I just got out of there in time.  Things are better here, but that's from my perspective.

Just got back from the hospital.  My God-Daughter gave birth to an 8 lb. baby boy at 0630.  Good looking young man, her boyfriend is Italian...I held him for 10 minutes before Grandmom took him from me.

Kind of a lazy day, went to Hamilton and made my credit union deposit and a long overdue trip to Long John Silvers for lunch.  Spent most of the day home until my hospital visit.

Went to dinner with the 2nd time grand parents and their son, they've been up all last night and most of today, we ate and I sent them home to bed,,,Laugh

Weather was nice up until 3PM when it clouded over.  Thought it would rain, but it still hasn't.  Temps in the low 80's.

John I MAY show up at Edison tomorrow...I have a party to go to in Menlo Park at 5 and since I'm in the area....Whistling...Look for my Station 41 shirt.

That's all from Exit 8.

I am the monster in your head...And I thought you'd learn by now, It seems you haven't yet.

Evening Fellas

Had fun with Christina today. We had to make our first trip to the LTS today! Fellas there really took a liking to her. Got home and I had to take a bath with her due to her latest 'gift'! Goodness this little girl poops to make her Daddy proud! Laugh. The Q is now on her 3rd diaper change in 15 minutes... guess Christina has eaten quite a bit today! Big Smile

No need for a DVD player right now. As soon as the wheels start turning she falls asleep! Great little travel companion!

As for sleep once she falls asleep after 11:00pm she sleeps for a solid 6 hours. That is the max we are to let her sleep without feeding her.

JT - HEY! NOT NICE! true but NOT NICE! Smile

Laz - No speeding TIX! Only saw one trooper on our side of the road the entire trip North and that was in NC. Nothing in FL, GA, SC, VA, or MD! I think THAT is a record!

Just came up from the trainroom where I realized I bought the wrong track today! Bang Head

Hello from rainy south Florida! More rain on the way as well.

Thanks for the prayers; Jack, Dennis and Brutus.  Things are shaping up a bit  for the future, made a decent amount of money at the moving sale, now to try to keep it from utilities.Big Smile

Florida seems to be going the way of some Hollywood movie towns, Ghost Town state! Pretty soon $500.00 cash will buy you the whole state of Florida. You have to be here to fully realize what is going on here in Florida, insurance rates, layoffs and taxes, but I think things are getting bad everywhere. It takes courage to wether the financial storms!

Good Afternoon,

Great day today. Weather is beautiful, I cut the grass. Off to a 70th Birthday Party and tomorrow it is to the Greenberg Show in Edison.

Brent, Congratulations and all good news. Be firm and make her wait until Christmas before she gets her own dvd player. Big Smile

AF53, No new arrival yet. Just what you picked up yesterday.

Good morning all,

Laz, smart move on replacing all the tubes at one time in the Lokie.  Looking forward to pics.

Dinner out last night with friends was noisy.  Restaurant was crowded (Friday night) but we got seated right away.  Could hardly hear yourself talk with all the seniors including me chattering away.  I said it sounds like swimming class at the YMCA when I was a kid.

Chief, enjoy the Lake and catch some more stripers.

Brutus, prayers for your friendAngel

Buckeye, congratulations on getting through the colonoscopy.  Been there done that (too much).  You're right!  Prep is the worst part.

Still doing fair with my back pain.  Been on Aleve all this week.  Will see doc next tuesday.

I mulled over getting my rubber boot on the car replaced and think I will probably just take it back to the same place this time instead of shopping around.  Local place has a good review on car repairs.  Problem is they are too popular and you have to wait for a slot.  Dealer will cost more but will be faster.

later,

Ray

Aloha. It is a beautiful day here in Crystal Lake and I'm back from a two day trip to Ohio to pick up the daughter at Cedar Point amusement park where she worked all summer.  Boy, did she have far more 'stuff' than I realized. It was a personal masterpiece of packing everything into the car for the ride home. She's already getting on her mom's nerves which reinforces how the little birdies need to eventually leave the nest. Nothing to worry about for about 2 decades, Brent. Wink  Youngest has a virus so it should be a quiet Sat. whilst I catch up on work.

Morning all.  Getting ready to head out for some errands.  It is pretty out here, but still supposed to be in the high 90s.  Thank God for air conditioning!
Chief, have a good time. Hope you land more striPers!  A little lemon, some butter and a few slices of tomato on them and you will be set.
Brent, glad you guys are home and getting caught up on sleep.  Last time we came home from China, I had an hour of sleep before having to head in and do a heart....after what ended up being 36 straight hours of travel.
Dennis, yeah, the banks and credit card places are certainly not working with our best interest in mind.  The latest thing that they have been trying to do is offer "Business Card" accounts that basically give them all the control over interest rates, etc.  It takes away the protections that were instituted with the law that was passed last year.

Well, gotta head out.  Hope everyone has a blessed day>

Evening all! Not much going on just work, work and more work. Had a great time yesterday in da Bronx! Probably the BEST weather ever! 80 degrees with a slight breeze, low humidity and we were in the shade the entire game, awesome. Got back awhile ago from visting HudsonJohn. Seems the USPS man delivered something for me at his house again (imagine that?).

Brent - You must be smiling alot these days, NICE!

Jim - Lowes troubles? It doesn't surprise me nowadays as it seems more and more the customer is always right wrong! Nice that you kept your cool though.

HudsonJohn - Let me know when he delivers a box to the wrong correct address again, should be soon!

Night all,

Nothing much going on here today.  Worked, had a couple pieces of pizza, and now having a nice chat with RT.  Saw an old buddy at work today and he's not doing very well.  He is out on disability due to some problems with his heart (MI) and depression, and now they think he has early alzheimers Sad  We only had a few minutes to talk, but it was sure good to see him.

TARDIS will be ready soon, hoping to pick up Mike tonight and see if he'll drive for us Thumbs Up
