Mornin' All.
Happy Thanksgiving !
Just enjoying my coffee before all the KP chores start, only have 12 guests this year. A bit of frost on the pumpkin this morning, makes it feel more like Thanksgiving than the normal "warm & sunny".
Enjoy the day with family & friends as they truly are what life is all about.

Well turkey is going to be going in soon as its only 20LBs but there is only 2 of us so a lot of turkey for 2 but honestly we do a turkey as we have extra for the cats so none of it gets wasted its all eaten one way or another have done this for the 26 years we have been married.
Hope all have a good day. And enjoyable one.

Happy Thanksgiving
to all of you and your families.
The bird is in the oven - all 23lbs, and some of the meal preparations are well under way. There will be 8 at our table for dinner today, and then later we host a pie feast for our family and 2 other families that have been wonderful friends for over 20 years. It is a celebration with our "extended family" - the ones we have chosen for family. That group has increased to about 24 this year. There are pies sitting all over the place and more coming.
I am thankful for many things this year. The opportunity to enjoy and share a wonderful hobby is just one of them.
Have a wonderful and "full"filling day.

Nite All.
Joe, we'll bring you over another float - you gotta get it made with Real 100 Percent Banilla, otherwise it's not a real rootbeer float!
Busy day - worked, took kids to eat, took kids for hair cuts at the "booty saloon", then chatted SJ and RT until about 5 minutes ago. Talked to Char and she had some roast chicken for dinner with a Tums chaser, but was doing okay. Trying to figure out how to get her some food she wants - would have to drive all the way home and then back downtown apparently. I'll do it if that is what it takes though.
I got an email from the online TRAINZ store today - Wow! I'm greatful for great friends, but need to know what's up?! I suspect a certain Mayor is involved!!!
Tardis is ready, so let's get moving guys. Need to be back in time to rest up for the big feast tomorrow!
RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.
Happy Thanksgiving, all. It has been a year of good fortune. It has also been a year of trials and tribulations for most of us. When we sit down to Thanksgiving dinner later today, let's give thanks.....both for our blessings and for the strength we have been given to deal with the mountains we have had to climb.
Strength is where we find it......from within, from our family and our friends, from sheer luck and circumstance, and from our faith. I count on all of them to get me through the hard times.
God bless each of you and yours, and keep you safe today.
Jack
IF IT WON'T COME LOOSE BY TAPPING ON IT, DON'T TRY TO FORCE IT. USE A BIGGER HAMMER.
Good evening all,
The kids are nestled in bed, and the wife and I are relaxing. She made beans and cornbread tonight for dinner. She loves that meal. It is not one of my favorites, but if I don't have to cook it, I don't complain.
I left work early today to get a jump start on the holiday. Tomorrow, we will travel to one of my wife's aunt's house near Tulsa, OK, for Thanksgiving dinner. Most of her family will be there and it will be entertaining. It's a two-hour drive one-way, but I'm hoping to get back home at a decent hour. We can use the baby as an excuse to leave early.
Chief – Did you hear about the high school cross-country meet in NC where a girl from one team helped an injured girl from a different team make it to the finish line? It was a great story.
S.J. - I already had my root beer float tonight.
Good night,
Joe
Hi All,

Don't have any plans so will just take it easy. hope all have a good Turkey day. may set up a small train layout seeing I'm off for next 5 days. That would be nice to get some of these engines running again for a while let them stretch there wheels out a little lol
Take it easy all will check in later
Hey All.
Takin' a break from KP, the dogs is barkin' , need to sit for a bit. Hopefully that won't be a mistake, I'm already pooped.
Just in case I don't have a chance to pop in later, heaven knows I won't have time tomorrow, just want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving.

Good morning all,
Fife, sorry for your loss of Lassie. I think about you with 5 collies living next door with new neighbor.
Bought an MTH Southern PS4 at a decent price off of a buy/sell forum on the net today. It is proto 1 but I am thinking about doing an upgrade to proto 2 when MTH gets some more kits. I had this engine once before but sold it like a dunce. Now I'm just buying it back.
Looks like my turkey got thawed out in time to cook it today so we can just warm it up and serve it tomorrow. Wer'e trying to keep it simple so we can get away on Friday.
Got a nice E Mail from Weaver offering help with my new trailer on flatcar but I think I can mannage it myself. (I had a problem getting the trailer to sit level). My biggest problem is getting it to go through my low bridges. I think I might have to retire one of my bascule bridges from the main line so I can run the modern stuff.
Happy Thanksgiving to all,
Ray

Brutus, so, you are a "Decision Review Officer"? Have you made any big decisions yet? Perhaps making Fridays "Run trains day" in which you put a office layout together and each Friday, run trains from noon till closing. Think if the moral boost! Of course the bean counters would call it a "non-productive day". Oh, never mind...congratulations! I know you deserve it and will excel in your new position.
It was a early day for me...go in early, be done early. Ordered the last present for wife....I am done! Should be a good holiday week as I am not on call and have plans for dinner at Callaway Gardens along with their "Fantasy In Lights". It really is a great place. Plan is for us to have dinner at 1130 and stay the day. No mess and no relatives!
I do hope each of you have time to pause and be thankful. We have so much to be thankful for. One thing I am thankful for is our friends here who share in our lives, both the good times and the bad.
God Bless,Dennis

Good morning,
I have been busy with work the past two days and I have not been able to stop by for a cup. I am just getting caught up on the posts from the past two days: Congrats to Brutus; sympathies for Fife; and prayers for a few of you. I know that is briefer than it should be, but time does not permit me to respond to each one individually at this time.
The weather is pretty warm today for this time of year, but it is supposed be very cold tomorrow. I'm still finishing up many tasks at work before we go on this four-day hiatus. I'll check back tonight.
Regards,
Fife,
Sorry for your loss. Seeing that picture brought back memories of my uncle's Collie.
Not much happening today. I need to pick up my copy of Gran Turismo 5, then I have to go to work for 3-11. Today is the worst day of the year to work in a grocery store.
Good Morning
Overcast and 40s today, started at 25. The chat crew where a "no show" last nite so james went to bed at 10:30. Granny's already fussin in the kitchen working on tomorrows dinner. I stay out of the way unless called upon to perform some small task....S.J.
Aloha all from a grey and cold Chicago where I am the only one seemingly working today. At least it'll be productive. Bride bought home a picture a 'friend' gave her last eve - it's 4 ft by 5 ft. Sure enough after she set it down, it spooked a cat who knocked it down. Glass everywhere and a busted frame for me to fix. Love a challenge. Stupid cat. Ran trains last night - no pile-ups. Daughter and boyfriend are home working their way through the fridge as all college-kids do. My condolences on the loss of Lassie, Fife.
Fife - so sorry bud! Not going to seem right when I come over and I'm not met at the door by the furry, friendly, beast! Prayers for you, wifey, and the kiddos.
It is a clear and frosty 44 degrees. Going up to 58 today with some sunshine.
Today is a busy day. Grocery shopping. A few chores around the house. No train time today.
Brutus... Congratulations on your promotion.
Fife.... Sorry for the loss of your friend. They become a real member of the family.
Dining car is here from "Points West". Cheerios is for breakfast.
Y'all have a great Wednesday.

It is cloudy and cooler in SE Indiana with rain on the way. Fife, my condolences on your loss. I went to see wife's BIL last night. Quite a shattering experience to see someone who a few months ago was in fine physical shape be in the situation he is in now. Not quite sure what the upside is in a situation such as this. Busy but quiet day at work. Fortunately I have some of the best co-workers in the world. I had the regular fare on the dining car for breakfast before sending it on to "Points East". TBIL anytime and I can drive. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Sunny and 40's today.
Fife - Condolances for Lassie. After all, dogs are family too.
Brutus - congratulations on your promotion. Does this make you an impotent person now?
Went back into work last night at about 10:30 to work on the prototype parts. Sure enough, one of the production jobs that was running crashed. That took the guys I was planning on away from my project. Gave up at 1am. Man, the 6am alarm sure came quickly this morning!
All for now.
Got a call from a friend I haven't seen in about 5 years. Good talk, but missed most of the crew tonight. Nice chat with Charlie though Thanks for the congrats, guys - I got to sign my name with my new job on some work today and that was a big thrill I took in bagels and cream cheese from the Saint Louis Bread Company (aka Paneras) and someone else brought in donuts so we had a huge feast.
Mike – prayers for your Bro-i-L and God grant him the best of care. Ray – prayers for your friend as well. Prayers, Fife. Well said, guys - they are definitely our family.
Tardis is late, but that's why we have a wayback circuit - on the way!
