Aloha all. A beautiful cold day here in the Loop. Lotsa filming downtown  - I noticed the trucks for Contagion and something else. An enjoyable Halloween was had - lotsa little visitors - made it to curfew with 6 pieces of candy to spare -  and the youngest (Darth Vader) and I had ourselves a good walk around the neighborhood. Looks like a busy week.

Mornin' boys.  As Mitchie indicated, frost on the pumpkin here in the Mid-Atlantic region.  Need to get working on two layouts this week.

Good Morning from Blueberryhill....

It is a cold 30 degrees. Going up to 70 today with sunshine.

Today is a busy day. I have a few errands to run and the usual chores to do.  Got some quality time in,  in the train room. I enjoy that.

Shrimp is great. Grits is good for spackling walls.

Dining car is here from "Points West". The usual Cheerios is breakfast.

Y'all have a great Monday.

Hi GUYZ,

  HAPPY NOVEMBURRRRR!!!!

Cool one here at 30 only to get to 51.  Gotta suck up leaves tonite  after school.  On Saturday got 2 Pheasants, first time in about 5 years shot a double, two birds flushed at same time knocked down first one the got the second.  Just call me DEADEYE!!!  Must be getting those pointers from TOM KNAPP has been  helping out?

Got track down on layout and fired up the tracks, just to see how everything ran.  I will do this for a couple of weeks just to see if there are no problems or PILE UPs.

Stay frosty,

laz57

Morning to all. Happy November. Where does the time go?  It seems as though we just started summer and now winter is fast approaching.  Freeze warnings here last night with temps in the upper 20's.

Yesterday was kind of a lazy day, watched the NASCAR race, cooked dinner and then wound up flipping between the Saints vs Steelers and NHRA.  I dozed through the NHRA event but did manage to hear that John Force won the Funny Car event. Read in this morning's paper that the Steelers lost to the Saints.

Another busy week with faculty meeting after school today and evening parent conferences on Wednesday, though schools are closed Tuesday for Election Day.  Hopefully the little ones will be on their best behavior today, although I betting on the sugar rush from Trick or Treat to get the week started in style.

Have a great day.

Good evening all,

IIABSDISEI with temps in the 50s.  Picked up Roger Carp's 101 Postwar Classics book at Border's.  Looks like it will be a good read.  We also saw one of "my" soccer girls play about 25 minutes in a 3-0 loss.  She acquitted herself well.  Wife and I went to Pizza Hut after the game and then to Kohl's.  Missed some of the early trick or treaters, but entertained several with the ghost in the attic and the Black Caver Flyer running in the front bay window.  It was a good day.  Watched "Desperate Housewives" and then played cards with the wife.  I had bran muffins on the dining car for breakfast.  Today was the last day for the Cleats comic strip.  Always enjoyed it as it was usually soccer based.  TBIL anytime and I can drive.  I am you with you, Dennis, regarding the image of SJ in a thong????   I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

PS I posted this on the October pot but figured no one would read it as it was after the Chief started the one for November.   Also, I can be on the first page.
