i was a little close to the edge so i changed it what do you think now.
If you put a 1/2 or 1/3 curve between the two switches, you will get away from the edge and will be able to run straighter sidings......which will look even nicer once you extend the table into a nice 'L'.

Looks great BigDog. Much better than mine which is all boxed up.
Looking good! I think runtime has a good idea which is worth a try.
If you are worried about the trains hitting the floor, I would suggest a Masonite barrier added to the edge. A few screws and glue should hold it securely in place. It would only need to be about 3" tall. .
