Howdy guys! Well, had a pretty good day off. Killed about 10,000 zombies online, got the laundry done, got the kids to do their chores, and bought a new fridge on sale, about the same size we have now but the drawers and shelves are a little better organized I think - all door shelves are gallon size, etc. Top freezer again - just fits the space better.
Tardis is ready and we can buzz over to Virginia too Let's hit it boys!
PS - thanks Jim - we're getting there, it's just a long road home. Prayers for your daughter and grandchildren too.
RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

Pat - There was a bull on the farm named Banjo; not mean but he would manuver himeself to where he would pin you against a fence if you were not careful. Brute muscle.

Good evening everyone. Just stopping in before heading to bed. Got a few cases in the morning, but should be done at a good time. Have a production meeting for the movie tomorrow night. I am having some difficulty getting a few items....they are discontinued because of patent infringement. I should be able to get what I need, but it will take a little work.
NCT, Virginia is a great state. Have friends in Quantico and a few other locals up that way. Sure is a pretty place...till you get towards DC.
Rich, are you going to be in NJ around May 15th? There is going to be a NJ Metro Fire Photographer's meet in Ridgefield Park High School. I have been to some in the past and they are a nice thing. If you are interested, I can get you more information.
Chief, forgot to ask how your Mom was during your visit. I know you have been having concerns and several of us have been lifting her up in prayer. Will continue to do so.
Have a great night everyone.Dennis

NCT Ok, y'all. I'm born and raised and still live in the Old Dominion State of Virginia. Nothing better than a tall glass of iced tea or a mint julip. Also love grits and scrapple. Now that I have opened the door, have at it, guys. NCT, I was with you all the way until you hit Scrapple. Isn't that a Yankee concoction? I was born in North Carolina and raised in Virginia but I never had scrapple in either place. I'd rather have Eastern North Carolina Bar-B-Que. Ray

A little breeze comin' from duh South, still in the 70's windows are OPEN first time at night since November!!
Mrs is working 2nd shift, so I had to finish the dishes and collect the garbage for tomorrows pick up.
Shuttle was amazing this morning...!!! One of the FEW reasons to be here and after September, 1 less attraction as far as that goes....
OK have a good night...

Sunny and 70's today.
Put a late bid in on a #6660 boom car on e-bay last night. Ended up winning it. I noticed a lot of these have come up for auction lately, and it seems like the final sales price has dropped. Market saturation? I think I have seen that with other items in the past as well. Might be interesting to plot selling price vs. # of identical items offered vs. time to see if there is a pattern.
Later, you guys (Translation for NCT. You guys = y'all in proper Yankeeish).
NCTOk, y'all. I'm born and raised and still live in the Old Dominion State of Virginia. Nothing better than a tall glass of iced tea or a mint julip. Also love grits and scrapple. Now that I have opened the door, have at it, guys.
NCT- You are a true Southern Gentleman. Ice Tea, Mint Julip, Grits and Scrapple, and living in Virginia, It doesn't get any better than that!!
BTW - I hear SJ is a closet grit lover.

Dennis - A good friend of mine was working a 2000 Lb bull in a small coral. The bull just leaned against him, squeezing him against the fence - the result was 5 broken ribs. Not a mean bull, but 2000 lbs can do a number on you.
SJ - Some dandy loop-d-loops in the thingy? Bring it on! I have a good supply of Pepto.

Oh man the first two were great, but you sure took a nose dive after that.

Glad to hear our "West Coasties" are OK after the shakin. SJ, some good and bad with both kids birthdays on the same day...good, easy to remember one day for handling both kids. Bad...forget it and you are sunk! Good, one party for both. Bad, dropping a lot of coins in a single day.
Anyway, got home early. Son is still under the weather, and none of us is 100%. Got our Tax return back...getting some cash back....if uncle sam is good for the money???? THen, took family to the main post office to get son's passport renewed. We will be doing another cruise this year and he will need it. Hard to believe it is 5 years on the old one.
Had Mexican food for breakfast, lunch and dinner as only ate once today. I know, not the way to do things, but just how the day has gone. I am still stuffed and that will be it for the day. God Bless,Dennis
Good Evening All
70s today, very nice rain expected overnite.
A little something you really don't need to know, our oldest son and our daughter were born on this day six years apart, don't think they are twins though. I didn't do much today once the house was back in order just kind of rested. Ready to drive the thingy tonite and do some dandy loop-d-loops. We better eat the banilla early...S.J.
Afternoon All.
Ray, No damage here but lots of "rockin-n-rollin", really spooked our Easter guests even though all of them grew-up in SoCal. But as they said afterwards, that was one that was like the Energizer Bunny, just kept going and going. One of the local stations was interviewing one of the UCSD profs last nite and he, although somewhat surprised at the size of the quake, wasn't to concerned at the number/size of aftershocks but he was very concerned about the number and sizes of the quakes on the other fault lines in the area. 48+ more hours in the 72 hr window following a major quake for additional significant seismic activity.

Lots of good food with friends and family, can't ask for much more than that. Did something different yesterday, had a couple of boneless porkloins tied back2back for the rotisserie and marinated then basted with a maple syrup, soy sauce, teriyaki sauce and minced garlic/onion sauce. Turned out great.
All the Easter trains are put away for another year. Thomas & Friends are once again dominating the livingroom layout.
Later all.

Good morning all (or afternoon on the East coast),
Had a good Easter day here except for a "Whole lot of shakin goin on" from a 7.2 eathquake South of us near the Mexican Border town of Mexicali on one side and Calexico on the U.S. side. Our chandeliers were all swinging like trapezes for a while. Thank the Lord no damage to house and nothing amiss in the train room. A few minutes after the first shock I noticed our biggest chandelier started swinging quite a bit again but the other hanging lamps in the house did not move at all. I don't get it.
There was a big gathering at the house next door yesterday. My neighbor over there passed away a few weeks ago and the place is up for sale now. It looked like the family was having a big reunion one last time at the old house to remember their Mom and Dad. It was all very touching to me.
We had the traditional ham dinner for Easter but ham causes too much heart burn for the wife. Gave a lot to my Son and his family. Don't know what I'm going to do with the rest. I can't eat it all by myself. After dinner we watched the TV series of Jesus of Nazareth (re run). Only problem is they tried to show the whole story on one night. I could not stay awake until the end as much as I wanted to. Very good production of the story. Some big name actors in this one.
Went to Mass yesterday morning and church was full. Altar was beautifully decorated for Easter.
Rain here this morning. Surprise, surprise!. Rained pretty hard for a litttle while followed by a lot of wind. Won't have to water the lawn for another week. I hope Don and Doug didn't get too shook up yesterday from the quake.
Have a good week y'all
Chief, We have been dealing with the same thing. Car is a lime green on the tops and black on the sides. I had it washed the other day, and within a few hours, you couldn't tell it had been washed. Case is done and I am heading home. Have some running around to do with the family, but otherwise, hope to get some layout work done. Going to the high 80s today.
Dennis
Afternoon all. Grass mowed [mine, neighbor's and widow lady's]. Window installers showed up early. They have completed the down stairs [12 windows] and now are doing up stairs. 21 windows in all.
Got to run to County Comissioners and then got Town Board tonight.
I am on drugs!!! I am walking around in a yellow haze. OH, it pollen. I knew I did not remember taking any drugs. Horrible. Big clouds of yellow.
Later.

Perhaps someone can enlighten me? What is/are Kibbles?
John - "Kibbles and Bits" are a brand of dog food over here. Used to feed it to our dog until she had to go on the "old dog's" food.
NCT - Welcome!
Have a great day all!
Regards, Roy
Good morning guys - last day off and I'm home with the kids while wife is getting her biweekly checkup and some blood today. Aloha and happy Opening Day - looks like the best weather for a Sox home opener in the 25 years Ive lived in Chicago. I feel better for the first time in 10 days. Stupid allergies and infections. Or maybe the antibiotics finally kicked in. Had the inlaws and brother over for dinner. I was in such a stupor as to not be much help but we enjoyed good food and fellowship. What more can you ask? The little kids loved running the trains and mashing the horn buttons too.

Good morning all,
It is cloudy and mild in SE Indiana. Go Butler! Quick note. Off to a good start. Nice "Welcome" banner for me. Bran muffins on dining car. TBIL after game. I hope everyone has a good day.

Space shuttle goes up tomorrow at 620, we should see it from here, I have to be up that time anyway
Have a good night, God Bless us all & happy EASTER!
Welcome NCT! Lots of great guys on this website!
Full of good food, had a great visit with the family, and lots of fun with the kids, although no little ones anymore so no egg hunt, etc. My inlaws have a traditional baseball game using the decorated eggs, lol! This year, someone snuck in a "ringer" raw egg - splat! We couldn't be there due to my wife's condition - doctor said no traveling.
Tardis is ready to roll - let's go guys
