Good Afternoon!

Well, I did my tour this morning. It couldn't have gone better! Everyone was very interested in the trains and we all had a great time! The trains and accessories ran well. They were all taken aback by the amount of trains. The teacher intern had said that when she heard about my train "collection" that she was imagining maybe four or five trains, so she obviously was in for a shock.

Hello everyone ! Tom probably has to keep his house well ventilated with all of that toy train smoke in it.I wonder if he plays Burl Ives song "On top of ole Smokey" while running his trains[(-D] Orrr it could be smoke from guest chef Loretta Lockhorn drifting over into the train room.[(-D] Take care and have fun......Keith.

And you know what is more incredible about Tom's layout...the little engineer and fireman in the cab are smoking big cigars....look real close.[:D]

But the brakeman in the back is chewing and spitting. [:0]

I know, I done seen it with my own eyes when Spankybird let me run his trains. In fact, if you are ever invited to Spankybirds trains, make sure you go see his layout. You will learn a thing or two. I learned about ten new things.[:)]

Tom, as a refresher for those that want to post photos on the forum, can you give a brief primer of sorts as to the sites you use and also, something that I have always wondered about, how do you do it so quickly.[?][?][?][?] I can post them, but I'm not even close when it comes to the speed.

Hi everyone; I must say I really like the idea of the photo's. I'm going to fix that too! On the attic I installed my rooflight. It turned out to be a simple job, and the result is more then worth the effort. I now opened the window to ventilate the room and let the humidity drop to normal values.. Then I'll clean the mess upstairs and start isolating the place.. It's starting to seem like a real train room!
Nice to see how everyone looks like!
Stay safe all!

Ugh - stayed up late watching the Cowboys and Seahawks game. The good news for me is that the Cowboys pulled off a 2 minute 2 touchdown drill to win with the best on-side kick recovery I have ever seen.

Sunny and 50's/low 60's here today.

Will have to work on the picture.

Have a great day all!
Roy

Speaking about a pathetic football team - try being a Bears fan - we should've won that Cowboys game if we had any sort of quarterback - maybe we've found one now after Cowboy's reject Chad Hutchinson thumped the Vikings this Sun. Just blew a wad of Christmas cash on some spouse gifts - now I have to order something for me - a Marx Girard station! Hope to find an inexpensive semaphore or signal to go with it so I get something train-related along with the usual dad gifts.

I stopped being a fan of any sports, except something related to trains.. (train surfing??)
In Holland we have a 1000 soccer clubs and everyone is a fan when they win. It's actually a looser's game. Whatch a ball and 22 people running around a field for 2x 45 minutes and the ones who kicked the ball in a fishnet the most is the winner..
Mwoah, not for me.. I can use my time better.
The most pothetic are the supporters who break down the city when "they" loose..
(It's always "WE WON!" or "They lost", never "we lost"..)

Good Morning all,

Sports – let’s not even talk about the Cleveland Browns, gee, do I live far enough east to be on the west side of Pittsburg [?]

NE Ohio has a cooler morning at 42 , rain, and still strong winds. According to the weather man, today is our shortest daylight of the year, gee, I thought that was the 21st.

This is one of my best pics that I’ve made. To have the timing of both engines and still have time to pick up the camera and get the shot.

Pick of the Day

Buckeye – I work up something on the photo thing.

All be safe

Morning gang. Tom, I think you are right on the shortest day. Sunny and high to be 70. Wow. Was in high 60's yesterday. Walked about a mile yesterday. Will try that again today. Daan, I don't watch sports on TV either. I do watch huntiing and fishing but once in a while, baseball. Everyone have a good day and God bless all. BTW, anyone heard from Jon and Dr. John. Jon's last post, he had or was getting over a bug. Dr. John has been a while. [have to count noses once in a while to be sure everyone is OK]

Here's a joke Two competing railroads (the AB&C RR & the DE&F RR) will do anything to delay the other RR, even derailing the trains. One foggy night, a AB& C train discovers that a bridge was out. The DE&F express goes off the end after passing the AB&C train by the bad bridge. The DE&F sues the AB&C for the accident. The AB&C brakeman testified that he had tried to signal the DE&F engineer with a lantern. The DE&F loses the case. Later, the engineers & the brakeman talk about what happened.
The brakeman says "I was getting really worried during the case."
An engineer asks "Why, did you lie? The brakeman says "No, but I was hoping that they wouldn't ask if the lantern was lit!!!"
Call me crazy, but I LIKE Zito yellow. RAILFANESPEE4449
