Well, I've been up for a couple of hours now. Had to get the kids off to school. Kind of dreary outside today, I think I'll crawl back in bed. Seems like things are nice and quiet.

Feel better Frank!!! By the way, when I get up, I'm gonna start work on a trackplan for Tony V.

Anyone put on a fresh pot yet. It's a cool 50 deg in NE Ohio with more rains coming today. A lot of flowers and trees are in full bloom, what a pretty sight, got to love spring and all of God's decorations.

Today when I opened this post, this was an ad that was being shown by Google along the right side of the screen. Did this happen to anyone else[?][?][?][?] While I am writing this post, the ads are the normal train ads.

http://www.bigsandlakelodge.com/.

I think I found the answer to my question:

What does 'Ads by Google' mean?

It means that Google uses search-based technologies to match advertisements to the content and context of web pages - so the ads you see are related to the information you are viewing. The ads come from Google's base of more than 100,000 AdWords advertisers. These advertisers range from global brand name companies to small local businesses.

Google picked up on the words fishing and pike and then placed the ads. I didn't know it did that.

I’m not sure which adds your seeing, I have one’s on Insulation. One from Lowe’s, Reduce Energy Cost, etc.

I have noticed them match the content of the posting.

We had one on Dept 56 houses and all the adds were about Dept 56, I even said the it was verrrrrry interesting. Verrrrrrrrrrrry interesting indeed.

We should make plans for next week, if your still coming north.

OK, here's my fishing story (not a tale). As a kid living in upstate NY, used to go trout fishing in the Southern Adirandacks, where the temps are in the 60s and 70s in the summer. Great fishing weather.

But on some days, the fish just wouldn't bite. What are 2 boys to do?

Sneak into the trout hatchery with drop lines, of course, where the fishing is always fine.

Once we snuck into the hatchery, we were about age 12, and were lying down on the ground with drop line in hand, intently peering into the water to pull up the next unlucky fish (we'd fry them a short distance away and eat them). Well, the warden made a rare appearance. I saw him with a very stern and vicious look heading right towards us. My buddy couldn't see him because he was on the other side of the hatchery pond with his back to the warden. I yelled and took off running but my buddy was so intent on pulling out a large juicy brook trout, that he didn't even see the ranger, as he closed in for the kill.

As I was scaling the fence, I saw my buddy being picked up by the hair (long hair was then in fashion as it was the late 60s). I nearly fell off the fence laughing at the look of surprise on my buddy as the ranger lifted him by the hair into the air and gave him a solid kick in the ***.

That made my day and I still laugh when I think of that expression on the ranger and my friend. We didn't every go back into the hatchery again, needless to say.

Three days of house arrest. Pneumonia and 103 temp. Well, at least I went early enough this time to get to come home. Usually I wait and my blood ox gets so low that I 'm passing out and she puts me in the hospital.

Chief,

You'd better get better quickly. We need you here instead of in the hospital chasing the nurses down the hall. :-)

Goodmornig all,
Another April spring day of showers in NE Ohio, but good thing is I don't have to shovel it. Grass is growing and flowers are at the Mays best already. Stay between the rails and have a great day.

Glad to hear the Chief is puffing a little better this morning. [:)] Two weeks ago he suggested how to cure my buddies sickness by hijacking his truck and bass boat. If only I lived a little closer to the Chief. [}:)][}:)] [:D][:D][:D][:D][:D]

Take care of yourself Chief.

Now Buckeye, I'm a very good shot and have a big arsenal of weapons. Then you would have to get past he big black lab. Sure is tempting to sneak out and catch some more of those shallow big crappies. Better stay in. Want to be well to make the St. Louis trip [the folks say that is a great store].

Nice to see that the chief is chugging along again. Sort of like my VRE train this morning that quit on us but then got restarted again (old Geeps and CNW galley cars).

As I'm sipping my black coffee, I'm reading the paper. Seems a couple of thousand people have been killed in a 2-train explosion in N. Korea. Carrying flammables and who knows what else. Similar sounding to the accident in Iran recently.

Yes, kind of like jet liners flying into buildings. They could be made into lethal weapons.

I guess in some parts of the world, they just don't know how to run a railroad. We may have our problems here, but I like to think that we are beyond that kind of stuff. Seeing as how it was NORTH Korea I think we can rule out terrorism.[swg]

There is a topic over on Trains Magazine about this, check it out. It is actually almost funny.[;)]

Interesting how the despot tried to hide it from the world. Funny too that his train had passed thru this area. I don't wish anyone bad luck, but...

One night a long while back I was flipping the channels, and caught a bit of Letterman. North Korea was in the news then too. The joke was something about Kim Jung Il, and his son Menta Lee Ill[(-D][(-D][(-D]

Could have been terrorism. If you are on the other side, the CIA is a terrorist organization. To us, they're just helping our cause. Think about that.

One interesting thing about Kim and his son; they definitely are railfans. They are afraid of taking airplanes anywhere so everywhere they travel; even to China; is by train. They have their own special train with sushi chefs, all manner of servants and entertainment and luxuries; in a country where millions are starving to death.

So you are saying the CIA destroys school busses, resturaunts, and railroads filled with innocent people in order to "help our cause?" I think you've had enough coffee Chief.

They hire people that do things. Those people screw up. CIA has done some tough things in the past. I use to fly with one of their employees.

Great Morning all,

It is a very sunny start in NE Ohio. Temp around 42 and going into the 60’s. I guess that means the trains will have to waited until the yard work gets done.

It is great to know that Brianl027 is OK. I saw so happy to here form him. Brian, it was really poor timing for your computer to act up. But we are happy you are OK.
