So far for Saturday we have:ChiefFifeLazJohnFMitchMyselfbaltimoretrainworks - are you interested in attending the gathering on Saturday at my place?Still waiting to hear from Marty and Wes (if he is attending the show).JohnandJulie is a ? - I would offer to get you into the show but I won't be there till Friday @ 12:30pm and would be a waste for you. I'm not looking to get through all the halls, I need to go through Brown and Orange. Maybe try to get through a couple smaller halls, not sure about Silver as that can take a while to go through. If Dennis from Brennan's is going I have to find out where he will be so I can pick up my order...

It looks like I'll be going to York this year after a 5/6 year hiatus. While I do have issues with things that have been talked about ad nauseum I will admit that it does have a larger selection of dealers/items than most shows and since I'm gearing up for 2 new layouts (mine and my grandsons) it seems like a good idea to try this again with an open mind. Plus I live about 20 minutes from the fairgrounds so I'm not looking at the 1 to 1.5 hour drive as in the past. Plus I'll finally get to meet some of you guys.
NICE CAR CHIEF? DON and I have some work to do before we get to YORK??? DA CHIEFs CAR....
Bgood or b gone,
Don and LAZ waiting for Fife and I to pick them up to go to York.
Don is the one with the gray hair that needs coloring. Nice tatoos Don.
And if DA CHIEF picks up FIFE well he needs more rooms sooooo.....

WORD has it that DA CHIEF cancelled the plans for staying at the Holiday Inn and instead is going to stay at the YORK meet the whole weekend? Going to bring up his DE LUX MOBILE HOME...
B GOOD or B GONE,
You all may not have noticed, but I've been very quiet on this thread.
However, I have found out that the city manager for Roseyville has made transportation reservations for the Chief's trip.
I can only imagine the return trip.
And I thought they would have broken out the Limo, again.

Going to light a turpentine torch under each mule's tail. This will give us Roseyville jet assist to shorten the trip time.
I plan to be there. You guys (or as LAZ would say, Yuz Giz) really crack me up. I can't wait for York.

Chief--
Drive, then you'll have plenty of room to take back your purchases. I was glad we drove even though it was a 1000 miles as we were able to see parts of the country that we really enjoyed, especially the hills and valleys SE of Pittsburgh and the Battlefields at Gettysburg and the train museum and the tour of the HD plant and........... the list is endless.
Jon
So many roads, so little time.
FYI !
Eastern Division now posts the York Registration Package "On Line" shortly after the first of the year. I downloaded it and sent for tickets on Jan. 21st, got my tickets this week. Beats waiting for the Mailman. They have been doing this for some time, you can get the same table at each meet this way.

TCA York, PA ---You must be a Member or Applicant of TCA, or Guest of a TCA Member. All 8 buildings on the York Fair Grounds are used. York is put on by the Eastern Division of the Train Collectors Association each April and October and do a great job.
Figure on 15,000 members in attendence and about 1,500 Member Tables and Dealer Booths. Talk to Lionel, MTH, Atlas, etc., thay are ALL members and attend.
The York Show opens on Thursday at Noon and closes on Saturday at 2 PM. You can not see it all in one day.
A Summer Convention is held each year in a different city, this year it is June in Burlington, VT.

Hello Brent:
I may have an interest. I have never been to York and have heard nothing but great things about the event. My understanding is that they do a show in the spring and the fall. Is one better than the other? How close is Baltimore and Washington D.C. to York? Do you have to be a member of a club to attend?
Regards,
John
Laz,LOL! Nah, I can wait, but wanted to get the word out about Sat so I can get a rough idea of the interest.
