VIDEO CLIP #4b - D&RGW #488 crosses the Lobato Trestle
VIDEO CLIP #4a - D&RGW #484 crosses the Lobato Trestle
Lisa is sitting in the first passenger car while I have the video camera running in the back in the open gondola car. Here is a frame from the video as we start crossing the Lobato Trestle.
With #484 clear of the bridge, #488 starts to pull forward bring the passenger cars in tow.
As we approach Lobato Trestle (Second Highest bridge on the C&TS - 100 Feet above Wolf Creek) our lead engine (#484) has to cross alone as the bridge can't take the weightof both engines at the same time.
Next we pass a "Fake" Water Tank used for various movies.
The C&TS has been used in several movies, can you name them all?
Moving out of the Narrows.
We pass over the Chama River
Video Clip #3
Did I remember to say this was a "Double Header"...
Passing the Water Tank and Tool Sheds...
Passing the Sand House...
Here we go...
OK, enough of all the C&TS Chama Yard shots. Let's blow the whistle and start down the tracks.
