I don't know for sure Mike, but I do recall they all were showing their age with cracks so I would assume they were removed before they were lost / damaged during train operations

The builders plates on all three K-28's looked damaged.  Were they removed to prevent theft, or maybe recovered?

I saw a similar looking Butch Cassidy car in the Ridgway RR museum about 10 years ago.  Although as I remember, the Ridgway car was used for carrying the horses, so it probably was not made out of balsa wood.

Seeing that it's oversized for its wheels, and it's labled Union Pacific, it looks like the car that they filmed in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.

Thanks.  I like the effect of the passenger car in the background matching speed with the engine.
