DAY#3 We take a short trip back to Cumbres Pass to take the Walking Tour. Here is some close-up shots of the Snow Shed and Equipment Shed behind it. {Click on each Image to Enlarge}

We arrive back in Chama, NM were I catch a few video frames of the SAND HOUSE as the bus pulls into the parking lot as the sun sets on Day #2. Much more to come of our D&RGW Railfan trip...
It's nearly sunset so keep your eye out for wildlife...
At this point we board a bus to return to Chama, NM. We pass Los Pinos Tank as well as drive over Cumbres Pass where we once again see the Snowshed, Wye, etc. {Click on each Image to Enlarge}
We arrive in Antonito, Colorado... {Click on each Image to Enlarge}
With another blowdown of steam, we cross the open plains in this area with a storm approaching and then Antonito station is in site {Click on each Image to Enlarge}
... and we make another curve right back into Colorado; turning NNE for Antonito, CO
Like I said, we are back into New Mexico
We cross back into Colorado; but, not for long...

We cross the CO / NM State Line four (4) times very quickly and before I was ready we pass by Lava Tank You can't see it in the video but this is also the location of Lava Loop; used for turning snowplows in the winter.

I've changed positions to the platform right behind the Steam Engine #488 (K-36)
As you can now see, we are now out in the open plains...
