Had a false alarm a little over ten years ago. Fortunately, the tests were negative but it was discovered that I had hypertension, which has been under control ever since I get a yearly check-up to renew the blood pressure prescription and when the doc wants to check something out, I tell him to go ahead. Not knowing about something doesn't mean it's not there.
My problems came out in the opposite way--I knew something was happening, but the doctors couldn't figure it out. Bacically, my heart was beating in the Red Zone from time to time. Then, one time I had an attack of this at work and went to the hospital. All of a sudden they knew what it was (they hadn't the previous several times). A shot of something brought it back to normal quickly, and later they did a cardiac ablation to cauterize the faulty nerve that was triggering it. There were a couple of times when they had gone in, ready to put a stent wherever they needed to, but my arteries were clear. After the ablation I was able to get rid of medications they were using to slow my heart rate, but by that time the damage was done--I couldn't bike the distances I used to.With Medicare I now get thorough annual physicals. That's how they found my cancer in 2016. I haven't felt any pain from the cancer itself--it's the medications that I often get the pain from.

Just got home.We went to Leipsic where the old tower was demolished.We then went down to CSX's Indy line and didn't have much luck there.Came back to Leipsic and there were 3 NS trains waiting to cross Csx.The eastbound conductor had to go and reset a signal box for the diamond.Then Csx ran some trains as well.Went to Deshler afterwards.Mother nature was putting on a light show but the storms were up north.Going to go to bed.

Got up this morning an saw that the roads were wet, despite the sun coming up per normal. A quick check of the radar showed a tiny cell had drifted through and dropped just enough rain to register on the home weather station.

Got out yesterday with my adult son and had a rather successful outing. Stopped at Michigan City and Elkhart and got some good shots. Also some interesting stuff on the return trip including FEC 107 at Colehour. Managed to miss the rain for the most part until after I dropped him off and wound up driving through a cloudburst part of the way home.

Watched that system go across southern MI on radar - and could see the lightning on the Deshler diamond cam. Quite spectacular!

Yeah, that was pretty spectacular, Paul! Pat and I had taken a trip out to keep cool (we don't have central air here), and explored where they're going to eventually do the CREATE work on the 75th Street Corridor, and also to look for some cars I'd wanted to research (I didn't expect too much movement on the holiday, but these cars usually hold still for me anyway--at Barr Yard). We came home via I-57 and the Ryan, and had just made the turn west onto the Ike when we hit that wall. Short and sweet...nice car wash!When we got home, there was nothing at all in our rain gauge, but there was thunder all around us. Fifteen minutes or so later it started, and the next 45 or so minutes gave us an inch of rain. The skies are clear this morning!

Rainy day here in Nw Ohio.Went to Deshler to give hugs.Was able to see 3 trains take connections to go south.Saw the J 715 local come into Defiance yard.Also saw Q090 come into town.Going to dry off.
Agood trip so, except I was unable to get into the Denver station to see MC.
We left Salt Lake about 27 minutes late (a short, short night for me), gained time here and lost time there, and arrived in Chicago right on time.

2 days ago it was 95 degrees and I was sweating my ... off running a GP38 with no AC. Today it was 55 and I was wearing a sweatshirt. Crazy.
