Thanx Murray!  Not very complicated, was it?  ^~^

I have an allergy sore throat today and some of those high notes really hurt!

One of the members of a fire-oriented forum I'm on had in his sig line something along the line of:

"{quote}This thread has been removed due to being off topic.{/quote} Isn't that what the Off Topic section is for?

That forum has a section specifically entitled "Off Topic..."

Afternoon Everyone!

Very hot here in Alamo City.  Currently sunny and 97 with a "feels like" temp of 101.  Cool

However, relief is in sight.  Our forecast high for Saturday is expected to be 77.

Gotta love Texas weather!  Cowboy

It is 52 degrees and lightly drizzling - all day.  I am sitting here at my desk with a space heater at my feet!

Had to go out today and while watching people outside - some had on almost parkas, some had on jackets and sweaters and some were still in shorts and t-shirts and lots of goosebumps.

Blanket on/ceiling fan off tonite!

Closer to my kind of weather, but gotta go home now and cover the veggies. Some of the local weather-guessers are predicting wet white stuff tonite. (The roost is at 6100 feet above MSL  +/-)...From the 8th floor office I can see maybe a mile right now, before everything goes all foggy white.

Scottie #4 to the vet tomorrow morning to treat a foot infection/ growth. Beldar Conehead  has nothing on a scottie with a plastic cone crashing into stuff.

Conehead -that's a great idea.  As much as I am sneezing, I should have one of those, for obvious reasons.

No rain on the radar, but it was cloudy, cool (+60F) and quite windy, so we moved our memorial service indoors tonight.  All went well otherwise.

I have all the ingredients for some refrigerator bread and butter pickles.  I'll put 'em up tomorrow and enjoy them when I get back from a weekend on the railroad.

After the memorial, one of our long-time members suggested that we see if the local cider mill will donate a few gallons of cider and some donuts for next year's ceremony (well, after, anyhow).  Made me hungry.  I love cider and plain donuts.

I'm in a hoodie right now, as the computer is showing the local temp as 49 degrees.  Crocs are still the footwear of choice, though.

The cider can stay cool, but warm up those donuts!

More light rain today and unseasonably cool.  It's supposed to warm up by the middle of next week.

The daily commute is part of everyday life but I get two rides a day out of it. Paul

It is 56 degrees, cloudy, and breezy here in Missouri's Lead Belt. (80 miles due south of Saint Louis)  After having the air conditioner in the house for only a month, I am considering putting it back in storage.  It has been the coolest summer since I moved here.

Sunny and warm. Went to go see Amtrak this morning, here is train 510 at Bellingham:

Sorry about the rather poor quality, taking pictures was not the primary objective...

NW This is a really pretty pix!  You can feel the warmth of the sun on some really great scenery!

Like James, it is cool & soggy here!  Don't want to turn on heat only to have to turn it back to cool in the next day or so.

I think this comes under irony in the dictionary:  Huskers play in Fresno CA tomorrow nite.  Temps to be around 104 during day.   We are sitting at 52 right now with 38 overnite.  Here or there - I think maybe here would be better playing conditions.  But they do play at 9 pm our time. Cooler, maybe?

Yawn.

Evening Everyone...the front has just about reached South Texas....We are getting some very beneficial rain and cooler temperatures.  The highs tomorrow here in Alamo City are expected to be only in the 70's.

Evening folks! I thought I would pop in to see what was up...my how the mighty have fallen. During my brief stint as a moderator here I attempted to address one of the issues that's rearing its ugly head again. My attempts and suggestions at resolving it were met with indifference and hostility. Thus I stepped down as I saw that the current state of affairs was where things were headed and nothing I could do would stop it.

Other than that...life is good. Aedan is 5 now and in kindergarten. We're house shopping and getting ready for another long winter. CN has been both busy and colorful with foreign power.

Back to lurking...
