Originally posted by selector Ken, was it you who sent a BLI loco back to them? Maybe it was another Kiwi. Mine got to them on the 11th. Have you had any contact with them? I had an email back from Tony's to say they had recieved it and are having a look. Ken. If so, then it's a pretty good loco--a little light in the pulling power, but smooth and quiet and very sweet. The Rio Grande used them as helper locos on Soldier Summit, but NP and VGN used them as road power. I'll be interested to hear one, as I've heard good things about the QSI sound from P2K. Trainworld has them for $299 I believe. I have one of the 2nd release which I added an MRC Steam Sound decoder in. It will handle 18 inch radius just fine. It is a smaller articulated compared to the BLI Class A. It will also fit on a 110' turntable. The model will be reviewed by MR in June 2005. To see a video sneak preview go to the top of this page, Modelrailroader Magazine, then click. Then on the left hand side click on reviews, click, then click on Video of 2-8-8-2. The previous model per MR March 2000 will run on 18" radius and suspect the same.
