Indeed.  Right now I'm at the point I have to cool it on new purchases.  Before something comes in, something has to go out.  No more room.

Good Morning -

Snip - Dougnotta - Kinda like both ideas......

Prayers for Roy, FifeMom and both LionRoar and MartyE's Dads.....

36 and sunny as Snohio arrives tomorrow night, should be fun.  Need to relocate the road runner to the dreaded tent - I may put my heater out there just to keep the snow from accumalating on the roof - I really need a garage or 2 - really want to get Jenni's Charger out of the weather as well, but her's is a coupe and I have the soft top.....

Short meeting last night and light shopping trip for Mom then back home.

Well - getting busy at work - back later

Home from werk.  Giverment werk as got through at 2 and got paid for 8 [start time 9].  :icon_rolleyes:  Christmas shopped some in Raleigh and surrounding areas.  Lost my religion 6 times.  Teenaged girls with big Audi SUVs/cars and old folks driving 10 mph under speed limit.  Then getting to place to turn left and not getting in turn lane.  Best part was stopping and getting a dozen Krispy Kreme donuts.  :icon_e_smile:

Wifey out with sister Christmas shopping.  She finished 2 weeks ago.  :icon_rolleyes:

Werk again tomorrow AM.

Good evening all,

Cold outside but dry.  Finally got upgrade finished at work.  Hopefully not too many more of these to do.  Not too much else to write about.  Helped my niece with her last US History paper in college class.  What they are NOT teaching in her class is a crime.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

I'm almost afraid to ask.

In a bit of fairness, I'd have to say schools can't teach everything, there just aren't enough hours in the day or days in the year.  What I would  damn them for is in not sparking a students curiosity so that same student will want  to keep learning, if not about history than about something else, anything else.

As far as teaching history goes, I wish all history teachers and profs had this mans enthusiasm and charisma.

Wednesday and on Snohizio watch.....

Was 29F when I got up and it is cold and gray.

Got the snow blower out and running after much ado.  Had to disassemble the exhaust and carb guards and clear out the carb - so nice to do at 30F in the dark.....
It hasn't really run in 2 years, Dad put stabil in it and it was totally gummed up....no, he didn't drain the gas, either.....

Ran over to my house and cleaned up the "tent" garage.  1 support pole was broken in half, so I replaced it - I had spares from the one that collapsed.
With the high winds coming tonight/this afternoon, I'm not putting it in there until the wind dies down, then I'll put a heater in there to keep snow from accumulating on the roof to lessen the snow load.

Looking at 8 to 12 right now, I believe nothing until it happens....

RT - looks great!!

Mom's house is just about done, maybe finish that tomorrow.

Prayers for Roy - I'm glad you got a couple of good days Roy - praying for more -Prayers for FifeMom, LionRoar and MartyE's Dad continue....

Mornin' boys.  33 and no flakes here yet...errr...well, I mean...y'know...

Talked to my buddy Tom last night, and he advised that the town is in a frenzy over the impending snohizo.  He also lamented on how most of the usual area train gardens aren't open this year.  Schools had already been cancelled...but they're already on-line...How does that work?Dunce

Idea If I were a school teacher, I would give extra credit to any of my pupils that put down their gaming devices, and went outside and shoveled the walks, driveways, or parking spaces of elderly neighbors, or those of service workers (Police, Fire, Nurses, etc.).  For the younger kids, perhaps a contest for best snowman.

I think the ladies might make some chocolate chip cookies today. Dinner  I will push the snow off the driveway gradually until dark, then again tomorrow.

Almost finished scenicing the ridge in the train room.  That'll be it until after Christmas, as far as new construction.  Santa may drop off something with flanges, since I've been pretty good this year.

Hello there,

Prayers for Marty E and 88's  fathers.

Picked up my hearing aids Monday, mixed reviews so far.

Snowmageden is here. Biggest snow storm in a couple of years. Started snowing about noon and still coming, over a foot so far. Glad I have nowhere to go tomorrow.

Helped son put the plow on the big tractor yesterday.

snowplow

This morning I added fresh gas to the snowblower. It fired on the second pull. Then replaced the tiller with the snowplow and chains on a Gravely, it's good for cleanup and light snows.

Outside decorations done. Need to finish indoors. Went and got our tree Saturday, put it up this weekend.

We did most of our shopping online this year. Still waiting on a couple of items ordered December 6th.

Best head to bed.

Prayers for those in need and the end of this pandemic.

Morning all

Had some really bad days with dad but hopefully those are behind him.  While not Covid, covid related.  Because they kept him in bed so long he was starting to physcially shut down and I think mentally and physically tired.  After another week in a hospital and a few close calls he's at a rehab facility now sounding better.

88 hang in there my dad did well through the actual virus it was the staying in bed that hit him hard.

Roy sounds like things are going as well as they can.  Keep plugging along.

Stay safe everyone.  New Years is just around the corner.

Stiff this mornin', and not-in-a-good way. Even FifeMax is moving around slowly.  Moved a foot of snohizo off the driveway, walkways, and deck.  Went out at noon, and again before dinner, with the Youngest Princess helping on the latter.  Will head back out in a bit to shovel another couple inches that came in overnight.

We got 1/2" yesterday. Fine with me.

Prayers for Marty's dad, 88's dad and Roy!

Banks, Where is the safety stand to keep that blade from killing you???? Surprise

That tractor looks like as cold a place as mine when needed for snow.

Chief, I have had that happen too.

We got most all of gifts ordered this year. Looking for tow that are left and got a "lots of luck" message from the USPS site.

Banks, hope you wear hearing protection around and on that tractor.  Looks like straight exhaust and right up to blast your left ear.  Why that and shooting has killed my hearing in my left ear.

Kev........where son's at the back blade could hit the ground and miss him. Yep it's cold . To add a cab almost doubled the cost of the tractor, besides not fitting in the shed.

Chief .....there's a huge muffler under the hood. It's actually pretty quiet .

TGIF - -

The road runner is in the last remaining "tent"  I PRAY that the tent stays intact - lots of wind and snow Wednesday night...

Had to run to South Jersey with my future SIL to rescue the Princess - she was stuck in a parking garage at work - after I got the Jetta I ran over to Jenni's house to clear as much as possible from the storm - got home at midnight - couldn't sleep because of the wind and fearing the worst for my road runner....

Up early got Mom's driveway all cleared and the sidewalk and the back porch so the ferals can eat, 20 minutes late to work - I HAD to take a shower ---

Looks like 8" to a foot of Snohizo on the ground.

Should get to 35 if we're lucky - Won't see 40's until Sunday.

Cleared the driveway and the cars again last night after work.

Jenni came over, the shop that did the oil change and tire repair broke her wipers because they failed to remove the ice build up, so I had to do minor surgery to the HHR.

Afterwards, delivered the Jetta to the Princess and checked on the road runner - the "tent" survived and seems to be ok.  Ran to Jenni's and chopped the ice off the driveway and the apron then laid down salt to clear the driveway and walks.  Home by 1 am (again).

Now that the snow removal is complete.....lol... I'm pretty sore but just tired - I'll sleep tomorrow.

Roy - that's amazing!!!!!Radioactive man LIVES!!!

Prayers for all our ailing parents and loved ones.  Back to work....

45 and mostly sunny.  Hunt tomorrow.

Walmart.com story about Wifey. Ordered twins hoverboards. One finally came in a big box. Wifey "assumed" it was two. Finally opened on Dec 9. Only 1. Calls Walmart.com. After arguing that they did NOT ship 2 but only 1, guy credits her CC and reorders. Tells her will be delivered 12/17. Gets email confirming. Didn't come. She is nonchalant about it. I go in her email and find the order email. Click on the FEDEX tracking number [looked to short]. No such number. Click on Walmart order number in email. No such order. So I tell Wifey. She gets ill at me.   Finally she computer chats with Walmart.com. That is useless. Finally rep calls her. Lady real nice. Finds order by her name. Completely different order number from one emailed. Tracking number different from email. FEDEX says label created 12/9. Lady says someone in warehouse in TX has not pulled and shipped. Lady gets supervisor and they reorder. Now coming 12/29 or earlier. How do you contact Walmart.com and reach someone high enough to be concerned and chew A? Lady did tell Wifey that guy told her all that and sent email just to get her off the phone. BTW: if anything is shipped by FEDEX, UPS, USPS or Prime, I get an email when label created, shipped, when out for delivery and delivered. Nothing from Walmart.com. Told Wifey that and finally she listened.

Now another thingy. Amazon Prime is giving dates of delivery and not meeting them. Sometimes the items aren't shipped by supplier until after the date Amazon said was delivery date. Call Amazon and they will not discuss. This was happening in October. So not Christmas last minute rush.

DIL sent text about twins with Grandparents in Binghamton NY.  40" of snow.

Have a good one.

Good evening all,

Fairly nice weather today for noon walk.  Cannot find rye bread anywhere.  Fifedog, your comment about 2020 is so true.  Year cannot end soon enough.  I see where people are complaining about no family at Rose Bowl.  Maybe sports are going to realize when you play in publicly supported and owned facilities, you play by their rules, not yours (not that it did the 500 any good this year....still fuming over that one).  Nice BNSF car, Kevin.  The one gripe I have about Menards is the individual number on each car.  Cannot understand that at all.  Would be a good article for CTT to write about their logic on that matter.  Three more days and off for the rest of the year.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

I've been watching the America's Cup sailing races, occurring in New Zealand. The AC75 yacht is similar to Formula 1, and when the boats lift out of the water, they are achieving 50mph! So far, the Yanks are making a good showing.
