Good Morning.......

A late thank you to all our Vets from yesterday.....

Raining now, in the 50s dropping like the proverbial rock and heading to 30 by 2 then $now.....a coating to an inch.  Which will not last as the ground is still warm....

No progress on Dad. He was improving in the hospital but, this isn't great news.

I'll be back at the house tonight, quick meeting then home.  Local meeting so it won't take too long, I hope.

Did a quick securing of the temporary garage, shouldn't move too much, expecting winds later.  Need to get moving on garage #2 so Jenni's Charger can stay safe.  The Charger is still being worked on.

Prayers for all in need, check back later......

I am the monster in your head...And I thought you'd learn by now, It seems you haven't yet.

Mornin' boys.  Grey & 37 along the Patterson Creek cut-off.  My "light brigade" got the outside of the train decorated in 6 hours! (6 cars, both sides, 2160 C9 LED bulbs, 600 zip-strips, 7 1/2 football fields in length)

Roy - Glad your event went so well.  You probably slept like a baby Sunday night.

Late morning all!

Front has roared in, temps plummeting!

Wedding was flawless. Could not have been happier with all the entities that made it happen (event/venue coordinator, wedding coordinator, photogs/video, makeup, hair, food prep/service, the venue itself, DJ, security/off duty policeman, wedding party participants, and all the guests). And the weather was perfect, 74!

Regards, Roy

Mornin' boys.  Sunny & 37; supposed to get to 60.  Will be at rail yard all day trying to get train decorated for PE.

I never liked the paint scheme of PE (greyish-blue and cranberry red).  I do however like the special edition 15th anniversary that Lionel is selling.  Still not getting one.

Banksie - Thanks for the heads-up, but my dancecard is pretty full through the New Year.  I definitely will be at the March meet in Altoona.

Pirate I shall put on my special eye protection to observe Mercury.

Hello there,

Mrs and I had a great day Friday. Saw the movie LAST CHRISTMAS. Not really what we expected but a good movie with an unexpected twist.

Decent weather Saturday and the last of the leaves came  down so gave our yard and neighbor ladies yard a final go round.

Today was my turn to deposit collection. Followed that with a late lunch and reclinerized until son and family stopped by.

Speaking of son, NS has laid-off 50 more at the Juniata Shops. Son is pretty sure he can hang on but any more and he'll probably be unemployed

Fife......not sure how close you are but there's a decent little show near Johnstown at the Richland Fire Hall on Dec 1st.

Bed is calling.

Prayers for those in need

Back from Church.  Has ended up being a pretty day and 67 degrees.  Middle of the week, Buckeye Yankee misery.  Cold.

Saw a 3 pointer and 4 pointer yesterday.  No does which is strange.  Bright moon.  Make them feed at night more and move late.

Have a good week ahead.

Hi guys, will be decent today then the bottom falls out tonight with snow and cold on the way. They raised it up to 12 degrees for Monday night.
Yesterdays party next door was kind of dry. It seemed most there just hung in small clicks and most seemed as if they did not want to be there. Jim was alright but his wife has her nose way up there. If you know what I mean. She is as big as a battleship to boot. But the food was good and the beer was free. He even had MGD. Beer  I did bring two boys over from the party so they could run the trains. brothers 6 and 9, they had fun and it was the first layout they had ever seen.
Banks, I hope you and your bride had a great anniversary, congrats on 44! Yes
I here you on the eats. I have added 60# + since my first wedding back in 74. Embarrassed
Best get!

Mornin' boys.  Sunny & 31 in the Potomac Highlands.  Nice trains yesterday.  Big crowd for day trip, then full cars for the Murder Mystery at night.  Nice passengers on both, made for nice experience for staff.  Gonne be busier than a one-armed-paperhanger this week, at the yard.

Good evening all,

Did not waste today.  Went to Indy to watch twin niece's last marching band show.  Their school won state.   Good to see their run end with a win.  Went to Mass afterward and had nice chicken supper at Cracker Barrel.   I hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning from a sunny and bright North Bluff.
We are getting a two-day break from the January in November weather will hit 50 today, still below normal for this time of year but better than the last week. By Tuesday it will be 20 for the high and 10 at night. Oaks are starting to drop what leaves they have left so the yard is once again covered in leaves.  Bang Head

Frost on the pumpkins, boys.  This has certainly been the most "trying" week of 2019 for fifey, both at home and at work.  Will be on both trains today, which makes for a long one.  I've come to dread Turkey Day...

Good evening all,

Last year went to a wonderful Lion King Jr. show at junior high.  This year went an equally lousy Frozen Jr.   Not sure what happened between the two, but that was an hour and an half I will never get back.   Complicated day all way around.  Cold.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Nice pic's Banks, you still got it.

We woke to sun and 23 degrees. That's too cold, too soon even for lower Mi. Club meet tomorrow and a large train show in Lansing Mi. Sunday.

Hello there,

TGIF!!!!!!!! where did the week go????????

Rich.....continued prayers

Belated Happy Birthday to Brutus

Fife.......dosen't seem that long ago you bought it.

Spent this week trying to do the fall yardwork with much help from Mrs due to my 10lb limit. Most of the bulbs rotted due to excess moisture but got out what was left. Got the worst of the leaves sucked up, the ones in the bushes are going to be mulch, also winterized the camper.

Predicted cold weather and not much oil in the town house tank so I built fire even though the chimney and furnace need cleaning. I'll do that after I'm able.

Grandson and his class winner trophies

Best move on, we're going to celebrate with Endless Shrimp and a movie.

Morning folks!

It stayed very cloudy last night so no freeze. High today 50, 70 is normal! The good news is it will hit high 50's and sunny for Sunday, daughter's wedding day!

Good news. City contractor showed up on our block yesterday afternoon and picked up much of the tornado debris! The truck with grapple and trailer were are big as a rr hopper car! Huge! A Cat front end loader with a claw (Kev!) moved all the debris to one spot (and not in front of my house, yea!) so the big machine could access it since we live at the end of a circular. They filled the truck/trailer and left a dump trucks worth of debris. It was still drizzling but I was able to get out and rake up 6 big bags of leaves/twigs and pick up all the big stuff they left behind at my house and the neighbor's to throw on the remaining pile. Washed down my sidewalks of all the dirt.

Anj - continued prayers for your dad...good to hear there is a bright spot!

TGIF!!!!  no, really......

Dad missed sitting on his recliner yesterday morning, and he couldn't get back up off the floor, which necessitated a call to my sister and brother in law (they both work local) then an ambulance ride to the hospital.  They pumped Dad full of fluids and nutrients and he was better last night when we left at 9.  Progress is what we need and so far, that is what we have.  My niece and Jenni (an Oncology nurse and a Pharmacy Tech) both agree on the nausea treatment, just need to get the doctor(s) on board.  If he eats, his strength will return.

Jenni drops off her Charger for major surgery and I'll be picking her up after work, I agreed to buy a small train set with 2 transformers and few cars and a Beep for $40.  The Beep is worth that alone.

We will run to the hospital for a visit then home for the night. Jenni works in the morning, I'll need to fix her HHR, the windshield wiper on the passenger side is inop....should be a simple fix.

My younger brother, late of the USMC, will be flying in tomorrow afternoon. More backup and relief for Mom.......

Well, let me start work, I'll be bugging out early so I can make my rounds.

Good Morning CTT!

Rainy, went from 70's last night to 50's this morning and will hit 32 tonight! Nice!

Got quotes yesterday for replacing the bent fence posts/fence repair, quote from roofing contractor, adjustment in process from State Farm re their using a low grade shingle vs the 50yr/class 4's on the house (will double their view of the repair costs), and finally an attempt with the glass co I normally use to order a replacement for the approx 4'x4' double insulated low e pane we lost on the front windows. As normal recently, our new level of unemployment continues to result in front office people that know nothing about what they sell or even how to go about it...argh argh argh....(tribute to MikeC)!

Good Morning!

Swapped cars with Jenni, she's rockin' the Hemi while I troll around in the HHR....the trunk lid for the Charger came in, so she's going to fetch it with the wagon.

County meeting last night, looks like I am unopposed for my 2nd year of 1st Vice President......there was a small undercurrent of me running for President, but it was shady and the President is a friend of the family, so I did the right thing and declined.

Cool and gray today, supposed to run up to 60 then dive to a HIGH of 40 tomorrow, gee, can't wait......

Slow morning right now, a multitude of connectivity issues yesterday and helped out 1 of the other techs, twice, as the system for Hondas was being more difficult than normal....

FIFE - Jenni works on Saturdays now, part time, so I'll have time to run upstairs and clean and see if I can get to another video.  Things have been a bit crazy with Dad and all, but Jenni also wants to dive in and help.  Hope to post 1 Saturday!

Let me see what trouble I can get into, maybe do some work, who knows.....

Never knew anyone but the Hulmans owning the Speedway.

Mike C. from Indiana

Mike, Mari Hulman married a George. Mari was the Hulmans' only child.  Elmer George, and Mari would go on to have four children together: three daughters, Nancy, Josie, and Kathi; and one son,  who, like his namesake grandfather, would be better known as "Tony." Hence my comment on the old George famliy. Tony George had been chair of Indy for years.

Weather here is nice today. Had to take wifey to get some shoes she can get on without so much pain. Never shoe shop with your wife, no matter how much you love her..... Bang Head
