Not sure how the USAF said it, but in the Navy it was " wish you fair winds and following seas " Bob you will be missed.

Hello there,
burnt another brush pile today while it was drizzling. Now for the tree I've been dreading. This one was covered in poison ivy. It's pretty well dried up but I'm still using precautions. Long sleeves, gloves and a heavy layer of petroleum jelly on my face.
Watching grandkids tomorrow while daughter meets the oncology team to learn what is next.
Night all.
Prayers for those in need

It has been a while since I was on page 1 of the 'Pot.
Banks - stand upwind from the poison ivy while you are burning it. Breathing the fumes is not good.
All for now
And a Happy August 1st to one and all.......
Bob K - May fortune smile upon you and yours. Hope to see you soon, thank you for your friendship and advice. I will miss your BTB series.
Slow start to the work day, rain and drizzle on the way in, now partly sunny. Softball later if it dries up, then County Fireman's Meeting at a nearby station. I have been told that I finally made Life Member, but will hold that enthusiasm until I actually recieve the cerificate in my hand.
That's all for now, from Central Jersey.............
I am the monster in your head...And I thought you'd learn by now, It seems you haven't yet.I am the venom in your skin --- Breaking Benjamin
Morning. Howdy 8N. Banks, that is right. Breathing the smoke is bad too.
Hot and humid. Chance of a thunderstorm. What's new. Was too dry for a while. Now soaked.
Have a good one.
Good Morning from a wet Southern Ohio,
I do not go to nights tonight, but I do go to nights on Monday the 6th. The second coat of paint I used in the train room must of had a sightly different tint. Wet it looked great, but dry you see a difference, so a more careful 3rd coat is planned.
At work now and the crane rail has some loose bolts so until those are repaired and inspected our building is pretty much at a stand-still.
Bob K, your input into the CTT was informative, entertaining and I really enjoyed them. Good luck and may God bless you and your future plans
May God bless
Jim
Best Wishes Bob Keller!

DJSpanky Howdy all! Real shame to hear about Bob. I understand why things like this happen, but like so many other stories I've heard, it sounds like they handled it very badly. Been MIA for a while, figured I'd wait until the August pot got started before posting. The last few weeks things have gotten very crazy at home with the MIL's mental health. Still ongoing, hopefully it will start stabilizing soon. Just ordered this from Grzyboski's for Corey's birthday: He likes to run holiday trains (Halloween, Thansgiving, Christmas), and we have 5-6 or so cars for Thanksgiving. This may be my last train related gift for him: he's turning 13 and I fully expect his interest to wane as puberty kicks in. Hard to believe I'll have 2 teenagers in the house. Have a good one!

Spanky, even with chasing girls and hanging out with the guys I still kept my intrest non stop so far, and I'm 63 now. So maybe your sons will still keep the interest. Having holiday trains as an interest may keep in the model railroad interest
Good afternoon all,
Been doing yard work, but wanted to get on first page if possible. Finally dried out, but going to get hot. Ugh. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,

"Semper Fi" to you Bob, you WILL be missed!

Uck! That happened to me about 15 years ago! One of my neighbors was burning yard waste including either poison ivy, oak or sumac and I ended up in the hospital with 98% of my skin covered in hives! Lots of cortisone shots and calamine lotion!
Trains, trains, wonderful trains. The more you get, the more you toot!

Only 97 today. Same on tap for foreseeable future. Maybe a day or two at 99. Low hoomidity!
Slept in this am and woke up nauseous. Did not shake it til noon. Took it easy for the day.
posting tonight from the campground at Blue Know State Park. Getting away for a few days.
Thanks for the reminder about the poison ivy smoke.
Welcome to MartyE. Stop in more often.
Good night all.
Morning all!
High 90's today and sunny!
Found a busted lawn sprinkler this morning. Gotta let it dry out and dig it up to repair. I repair lawn sprinklers like the Christmas Story 'old man' repaired flat tires. Time me!
Morning. Hot, humid and chance of thunderstorms.
See we have some "old" CTT folks drop by.
Good Morning,
Just got back from a trip to Laughlin NV. Had a great time! Didn't break the bank, but had fun. Saw a couple of shows, did some sight seeing, and enjoyed the Colorado River. Of course the area has grown quite a bit, and I think you could practically walk across the river using the jet ski's as stepping stone.
Went to Oatman, AZ, where wild burros stroll up and down the streets with the tourists. Unusual!
So see what I can get into now, good to be back home.
Take care all and stay safe!
Don
Good afternoon guys, been busy:
We had two of Russell's kids yesterday, Kids were trying to wear out the dirt bike and Gator all in one day.
Well I heard the AC running last night as we turned it on in front of the coming heat wave but when I went to take a leak I noticed there was no air moving but the fan was running. So I checked it out and seems the A-coil is frozen up. So that sucks!!! Darn thing is not yet 12 years old. They replaced the a-coil when it was on it's second year for the same stuff.
Man Can't catch a break. So there I sat at 5:00AM wide awake!!!
There were some factors that may of added up that caused it to freeze up.
Just had it checked last year and all was good, so who knows. They are calling for low 80s today and tomorrow then 90s for the weekend so if it is screwed up I need to find out today or tomorrow.
So I thawed it out and was running just the fan to dry it and will give it another shot latter when it warms up.
Maybe I will get lucky,,,,,,,,,,,,NOT!!
Well the rest of the story,,,12:40PM after further review,,,yep,,,it is dead. Low on gas charge. So something is leaking! Got a guy coming out tomorrow.
Nothing left to do but to in my

Banks, The drugs they have me on has turned my hair and eyelashes a bright snowy white. Not to mention that it has also thinned out a bunch, I guess the bright spot of that is my barber shop costs will decrease considerably.

Spanky, tell Corey that nice, big colorful toy trains can attract members of the opposite sex just as well as a nice car can, maybe even more!
They attract them even more if said young ladies get to run 'em!
I have it on the best authority.

Good evening all,
Much quieter day. Went to see where younger daughter moved to. Brought some of her stuff that was our place as well. Checked out a couple of places where she lives for train possibilities. Not much luck. I hope everyone has a good day.
