Good Morning from overcast 57°F Southern Ohio,

A little history trivia; On May 10, 1869, a golden spike was driven in Promontory, Utah, marking the completion of the first transcontinental railroad in the United States.

The kids are filling boxes with their stuff, and collecting the clothes they’ve out grown to give away.  I brought home some more heavy duty boxes for my bride to pack her cookbooks in.  The garage is filling quickly with stuff we’ll move.

I’m making another rabbit cage rack for the two New Zealand does we have.  I made two 24 x 30 cages and now make up the rack to hold them.  It makes the cages easy to clean and use a minimum footprint.

Scholastic Banquet is tonight and the kids are all invited for their grades. This is a big improvement from last year at this time.

Buckeye – Never think of blueberries or cheerios without thinking of Chuck!

May God bless

Jim

MorDots - Sign. Ninggg.  I guess like a lot of other beings, they just couldn't take living in or around Baltimore any longer.  I've been to many Orioles (MLB) games at Memorial Stadium and Camden Yards...

Still prepping garage.  Didn't realize how many screws holding up those white storage racks.  Wifey had me change gears and go grocery shopping mid-morning.

Off to bed.  Been busy.  Been cloudy, chilly and damp.

Roy, you are right.  New wireless stuff is junk.  Had to pull out my old single channel one.  Works fine.

Buckeye, good luck.  Get well.

fifedog

A pair of Orioles showed up at our back yard yesterday.  This was exciting, as I'd never actually seen a real Oriole in my 50+ years.  Fifemom said to set out a sliced orange.  Saw the male again this morning.  Love it.

Lived in Baltimore and never went to an Orioles' game?  SurpriseWink

Phish - glad the move is progressing well!

Don & Ray - glad you guys met up at the train show!

Getting the boat ready to go to dealer for service and de-winterization tomorrow -$$$

Good evening all,

Quiet day at work.  Pain one was gone.  Pain two was about to bust to ask why I was moving, but could only bring herself to ask why I did not tell anyone.  LOL.  Wife was away at her sisters so I had a quiet night at home as well.  Izombie comes on soon.  Weather was warm and dry for walk at noon.  Moving day is tomorrow.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Sounds great Jim. New places are always a adventure. ( usually a good one at that)

We have decided to stay where we are. We will add on if necesary ( I say it is. ) and deal with that in a couple of years. Looking forward to having this place paid off come this time next year at the latest. The plan is January but may take till March.

Good Afternoon from wet and a cool 53°F Southern Ohio,

Youngest daughter, her significant other, his mother and her dog are now back on the left coast in Hollywood.  We had a nice week- long visit, topped off with a Reds ballgame Sunday afternoon and Skyline for supper.

On the new to us house front, the owners will be moving out tomorrow and we can start moving in later this week.  The to-dos are paint one bedroom, run a gas line to the utility room and build a garage big enough for my dually and civic.  The painting and gas line are for this weekend I think.  The garage I’ll hopefully get built by winter.  Mary’s van and my wood working tools will go into the existing garage.  Everyone is getting excited about the move.

May God bless

Jim

Buckeye Riveter

Fife....I'm amazed that you had not seen an Oriole in the wild before.  I haven't seen many, but I've seen them in Ohio and Indiana.

Me to Fife, been seeing them all my life here. Wife has a jelly feeder that brings them in pretty well.
We got 2” of rain over night and like DougM said, the cold won’t quit.

Aloha. It's been the coldest May in 28 years. And wet. But the grass and trees love it. Congrats on your decade on the 'Pot, SJ. It has been nice to see everyone back safely from York and that various medical procedures went well for everyone else. Fife, I've watched three days of Orioles-Sox baseball and those birds are doing well too.

Mornin' boys.  Sunny & 39 along the Patterson Creek cut-off.  Had a freeze warning overnight, and I hope it didn't whack my petunias.  A pair of Orioles showed up at our back yard yesterday.  This was exciting, as I'd never actually seen a real Oriole in my 50+ years.  Fifemom said to set out a sliced orange.  Saw the male again this morning.  Love it.

Our baseball birds are showing up too.  Chief's Yankees are flying just a skoshe higher as of late.

Will be back to painting garage today.

Good evening all,

Good weather today and yesterday.  Went to see granddaughters perform yesterday for their ballet class.  Had check up today, got oil changed on van and truck, and mowed yard with small (21") mower.   No bogging, just longer to cut.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Morning all, been a while since I have posted here. Been keeping busy empting garage out so I can get car in there and putting it in new shed but in a organized manner. I even built a wood loft so I can store the spare wood I have on hand.

Not a lot going on here today. Hope all have a good week

Evening all, had a relaxing day.  Went to a small train show this morning, while there saw Ray and  enjoyed talking too him and a couple of his friends, and a few other guys.  Didn't buy a thing!

Came home and watched the Nascar Race, enjoyed the race but agree regarding the Green,White,Checker flag.  Oh well!!

Was really surprised we had over an inch of rain, last night and today.  Even with thunder!  Also earthquake!  (Don't know where or how big, though).

Now watch some TV and then bed.

Take Care All!

Good evening,

Weather was cool but very nice and everyone had a good time. Daughter and clan got here about 1:00PM.

Grand-son Jordan loved the elevated track and wanted to spend more time in the basement but I forced him outside into the fresh air. Before they got here I got some more grass cut till I stuck the rider in the mud, so said &%$* it for now.

Looks like the wheel bearing will show up tomorrow so I can finish the Ranger truck project and get it on the road.  Dan the SIL (some day maybe) said he may want the truck if he gets the job with the railroad so I told him we can talk about it then but for now it is mine. So Tuesday I will transfer the title and plate it and it be what it be.

I did bring out the 42 year old Triumph Trident and kick it to life. Took it for a spin around the 1 square mile block out here and brought it back and drained the year old gas out of it. Then put that gas in the gator and will put fresh in the bike this week.

Darn old thing ran like New!!!

Love that bike. Just hate kicking it with this old body of mine. On a good note it only took 6 kicks to bring it to life after a year sitting. Running it throught the gears makes me feel 23 years old again. Laugh

Time for a beer Beer and a tub. Yes

Got to agree with Roy, Nascar was good but I hate those green, white checker finishes.

Best move on.

Evening all!

Very warm again today. 85 but some breeze. About the same for the next several days.

Good NASCAR race today. Could have done without the last caution. I would rather see a race to the end instead of the 3 lap drill.

Fife - sounds like a nice haul for $50!

Mornin' boys.  Cloudy & 48 alond the Patterson Creek cut-off.  Nascar on tv today.  Will keep an eye on O's as well.  That's it.

Pretty good train show at the Allegany Fairgrounds yesterday.  Picked up a nice scratchbuilt engine house from a fellow from PA.  Really enjoyed talking with him.  Picked up some odds and ends, but could have spent hundreds at this show.  Have to temper my spending these days.  Picked up a construction set tractor trailer for grandson, who paid us a surprise visit with his folks this weekend.  All in all, $50 spent.

Good evening all,

Well, another Mini in the books.  Dressed for the early cool weather and possible, but the day turned druer and warmer than predicted.  Started off pretty well and was maintaining sub 15 minute pace longer than expected, but slowed dramatically the last 2 miles and finished in 3:30.30 for a 16:03 overall pace.  Got the shirt, kissed the bricks, and got the bling.  Again as AJ would say, "All in all, it was a good day."  Watched the Indy 11 get another draw.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

Afternoon all!

Ouch. Hit 86 so far today. No breeze. Was supposed to be 81 high.

Spent last 2 days upgrading our home video CCTV system. Old one would not work with a smartphone. New one does and allows me to use the existing analog cameras and slowly upgrade to digital cameras/better resolution. The system is more for me keeping tabs on the pool health, foundation watering system, packages on the front porch, annnnnnnddddd...to know when our kids are using the house for party central when we are away....bwaaaaa....ha.....ha....haaaaaa!

NASCAR Xfinity race today at Taledega was a good one. Great finish.

SJ - Happy Anniversary on da 'Pot!

Good morning,
Rained overnight but the sun is out now but still very cold and well below normal temps.
Looks like I will be getting the replacement fog light today as well as a tube of body filler for the Ranger project. Won't be able to cut any grass that is for sure.
Mike, I hope you get away from the pains. I found there is always another just around the corner.  Surprise
Chief, better get that boy his first Lionchief set.  Wink
Banks, Hope the MRI comes out as not to bad.  Angel
Hope Buckeye and Ray are doing well as well. Yes
