Today was the first Doctor visit I have had in a long long time where he did not BI$&h about anything. I also found out that because of the ACA I can get the shingles shot covered ay 100% by my health care provider BCBS. Otherwise it is like around $400.00 acording to the nurse I ask today. So I am going to do it.

Took out some flood insurance mainly for the garage with all the trains. It has flooded before a long time ago. Since then have put in drains, sand bags and a sump pump. City is recommending that local residents get the insurance.
Wife due for outpatient surgery tomorrow at local hospital. In at 11:30AM. Out at ? They will remove cancer on her leg.
Still looking for a fix on my brokend recliner besides buying a new one. Son had one for me but it was way to big for our room.
Made some oyster stew yesterday. Yum yum! They were on sale at our store. Would like to try making fried oysters with these pacific varity. Don't have the right kind of corn meal but will figure out something.

Banks sent me a note and it spurred me into reactivating my account as I had forgotten my log in information.I have been doing very well, very busy between work, raising of our three grandkids who are now 13 and soon to be 12, and my duties as a deacon has expanded to serving 7 churches in our county.
I still love the American Flyers and have also started acquiring the early Marx tin plate.No layout due to lack of space, and I have been spending less money on trains the last few years, much to the delight of my lovely Bride.
It was sad to hear about Chuck.May God have mercy on his soul.He gave it a long tough fight.I’ll never think of Blueberry’s without being reminded of him.

Good Morning All !
Warming up a bit after a few rather cold nights(upper 30's), actually had to turn on the furnace. Now they are saying possibly cool and rain for Thanksgiving, but you know how accurate the weather guessers are.
Things have slowed for a few hours this morning, all of the things that I was helping the BetterHalf with for the Children's Hospital fund raiser are done. Now to gear up for tonight's club meeting and tomorrow's run.
Good news, all the divots biopsies from my back came back negative.
Have you guys seen the MTH Christmas ES44 ? I like it but find it difficult to justify the cost for something I'd only operate maybe 3 or 4 times a year.
SJ, Another big positive for Fastrac is it protects the carpet from any oil/grease crud/debris that may come from the trains. Really helps keep the BetterHalf happy.
Time to get movin', yuz guys in the storm areas keep warm and stay safe.

Aloha from a sunny and blustery Chicago. I hope the snow goes north of us... looks like it is on a bulls-eye for central Michigan. As Kev alludes, 027 curves saves me lots of money because I only run short-wheelbase engines and cars that can run on them. I clip everything together by putting a rubber band between the ties on the connecting track pieces. Very sturdy.
Sun and 54 this morning, going down till a Hi of 35 on Sunday. I like Fastrac on the floor now days cause it stays together. A good way for tubular track is bread ties or the plastic pull ties. Both work and the track stays together. Granny is already in her Thanksgiving mode so I stay clear unless called upon.

Tinplate I myself use Gargraves its about same hieght and all just looks a little more ral with all the ties in it. If you want a 90 or two I have about 6 of them in O-27 just can't seem to get rid of them and some O-27 switches I might end putting on the bay for about the cost of listing them and collecting the money think its like 5 of them. Just don't use it other than to make train sets up to sell might add a switch with each train set as I sell lol.
Been a quiet day. Got my #45 U.S.M.C. missile launcher engine complete now, got the dark color man not the blue man which is actually for the Navy one. So its looking real good now.
Getting my 675 put together but going to need some lock-tight as one screww hole in the one driver wheel is stripped out so that will work to keep it in there getting things going waiting for a rear truck for a 2055 and it will be done

Our layout is O27 profile track on the main table and Kids side loops nothing less than O34” Marx radius curve. Smallest turnout is O42" Lionel. Most track is O42”, O54” and K-Line O72” curves that let me run some of the bigger stuff. I would not do it this way if I were to do it over. I like the low profile of the O27 track and turnouts but would go with Gargraves on track if I were to do something new but not sure what turnouts I would use. On the logging site loop I do have O27 curves and turnouts..
The O34" 1/2 curve keeps me in check when looking at things I can use,,,,,saves me money that way. Right Doug?

Still warm and windy. The bucks are moving in the rut today. Almost hit one 6 pointer on the way out of the drive this morning going to get gas, then saw one 5 pointer small guy right out the back door sniffing and walking through the yard at lunch time.. Wife and I were saying Monday how we had not seen any turkeys in a long time and the same day she spotted a flock of over 25 walking through the yard by the shed when she was pulling out of the drive. So she called me so I could see them. Winter is a comming.

I must be a little crazy, Bought a yellow DT&I set car for 5 and then added diecast sprung trucks and a molded coal load.
I've never had the chance to run the MPC Amtrak.
027 varied I would swap them out during the Christmas season. Some postwar or the MPC Lionel Amtrac always looked nice and colorful.
What 027 did you used to run?
A little sun this morning but wind and rain headed our way from the west. Yep some s### expected here for the weekend. We have an MPC Lionel Large Scale Christmas train(track powered) I use LGB track for under the tree but I miss having the 027s under there.
Wellll, Wifey has amassed more "stuff", so I need to add another level (with another train of course), which will roughly make it 43" x 6ft, and approx 2 ft high. Gonna add some pushbutton features as well. I will take lots o' pics along the way.

We had rain off and on most of the night with very strong winds but mild temps. Nothing must of fell on the drive because the wife never came back once she left for work.
The temps are to fall today and they have the S word in for Friday night and Saturday.
My issues with the MPC General seem to be corrected. It was a small amount of corrosion caused by sitting 35+ years in the box. Go figure.
Got my SS payment so time to pay some bills. The truck is on empty so I will fixt that first. Gas is at $1.98 in town.
Mornin' boys. Cloudy and 61 here in the Mid-Atlantic region. Took cheapclassics lead and hung the icicle lights yesterday, while it's mild. Worked a little on the North Pole layout, but once I've cooked and ate dinner, no energy. Hanging out with middle princess today.
Very good day at work. Would have been a good night at home except I tried to do something like try to make the wife happy. Big mistake! I got the lights on the outside landscaping with little difficulty. Her request was to change out the screen for the window we have in the foundation during the winter. First I could not find the window and then I could not get it to attach to the brackets that hold it in place. Finally got those connected and then it would not close completely due to the new siding. Did get it to close, but wasted a half hour of time and spoiled the rest of the evening. Good thing Flash and Izombie are on tonight. I hope everyone has a good day.

Yeah Buckeye is back to work my SS check is safe. It will keep coming in now there was a chance it was going to get smaller there for a while but they heard he was going back to work and said all would be fine. Chief will be happy also as it was about to affect his also.
Morning all did some running around yesterday had to go north about 20 miles just toget done there to turn around and end up south of here about 20 miles ( and to get there had to go right by the house )and then today I'm heading about 60 miles away to Agusta, GA. Boy am I running around.
Not a lot new on the train front at present. Hope all have a good day talk to you all later
