Aloha from another beauty of a day downtown. Class went well tonight. Boy, Fife, that sounds like a great idea for the layout! SJ, thanks for the reminder about the video - I love watching them. Nothing too exciting planned for the workday. . .

Mornin' boys.  Sunny & 72 here in the Mid-Atlantic region.  Grandson is here, and Wifey is home as well.  Nothing getting done today; at least nothing I want to do...

Evening all!

Enjoying the end of summer although we hate to see it go. Boat is winterized early this year as October is loaded up with activities (i.e. York Thumbs Up) so took care of it to avoid any weather surprises.

Hit 95 here today but trending down this weekend.

Watched daughters pup today. She is a good tennis ball fetching dog. Our old dog is hanging in there although it can be touch and go. Vet is surprised how she has rebounded.

Have a great evening all!

Regards, Roy

Good evening all,

Busy day at work.  Played in the best game ever tonight.  We were down 3 players and my legs were not cooperative at all.  Somehow we gutted out a 0-0 tie.   Boring you might think....hardly.   I hobbled around on the field as best as I could and made some stops when I could and the rest of the team functioned like a well oiled machine.   My legs are dead tonight.   I do not know how I moved at all out there.  "My" soccer girls won 2-0 and had senior night.  I hated missing it because they all got cowbells, but this was one game where my team needed every player it could get.   I hope everyone has a good day.

Yawn. Aloha from a grey and rainy day marking I think the end of our summer-like temps. Highlight for me was renting a dingy for a lunchtime sail and not capsizing on a very blustery day. Congrats on a great game, MikeC!

Evenin' boys.  Sunny & 80 in the Mid-Atlantic region.  AAAAAnd, 'tis National Cheeseburger day.  I like mine with lettuce and tomaters, Heinz 57, and french-fried potaters.

Had grandson for half the day.  He was a good boy (especially since Grandmom wasn't around to spoil him).  Best friend came by for lunch.  Gonna take wifey out for a bite.

Good evening all,

Stayed home today.  Right leg was killing me from last night.   Turned out it was a good thing because wife's relative who is a priest stopped by the house while she was out.   We would have missed his visit if I had not been here.   It was good to see him.  Talked to Lucas for an hour on the phone today.  Mostly rested the rest of the time.  I hope everyone has a good day.

This weekend was not a Automobile trip weekend.  We are at the lake Paradise relaxing and enjoying Beer and good food. Pizza Unfortunately Storm showers are predicted as well as strong Lightning and winds.  The flag flying on the deck is currently horizontal but still waving in the breeze.

Really looking forward to York this year.  I assume the CTT photo is Friday at 1:00 pm.  Are there any breakfast Coffee plans for Thursday or Friday?

Good morning all,

Dedication of the light rail station between Azusa and Glendora today.  My son is over there taking pictures for us.  I took a pass on it since it is mostly speaches by local politicians.  Might have gone if they were offering rides.  Hope it rains again next week.  Need to do some more work on the pool but it's too hot today. Swimming season is just about over.  When it drops below 80, Im out of there.

Hello there,

Been one of them days. A few hours at the office. Home for brunch then a wedding. Reception interrupted by a text. Parking lot lites out at plaza sister company owns. They were on by the time I got there.  Controlled by Anchor  tenant and there have been issues lately.  I fixed it so they will stay on.

That's when I discovered dead battery in Mom's car. It's been sluggish and I was planning on replacing it before winter. Not bad really. Original battery in an 04 nephew rescued us. New battery at wally world after mass in the morning.

Now watching PSU handle Rutgers.

Gonna visit antique tractor show tomorrow and have BBQ chicken for lunch

Buckeye. ....there is usually a gathering at Round the Clock Diner Friday AM for breakfast and then the photo at 1. Hope to see you there.

PSU just got another TD. Think I'm gonna go to bed

Prayers for those in need

Good evening all,

Leg is much better.  Watched the high school boys lose 2-0 in a valiant effort.  Indy 11 lost by the same margin.  "My" soccer girls did get a win on the road by a 5-2 margin.  Had  a nice visit with Lucas and his GF today and they took home some more of their stuff.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Beautiful morning in Maine today. And no, I am not winterizing our boat. Too many nice boating days ahead before we get bombed with snow. You learn to stretch the boating season out when you live in the north country.

Our latest O-Gauge project is coming along nicely. We are converting a set of Heavyweight passenger cars to go with the soon to be released Lionel 115th Anniversary Berkshire. I have to give a pat on the back to Lionel who graciously allowed us to use the 115th logo for our drumhead.

Had a wonderful visit Friday night with a long time CTT subscriber and his wife. He has a fabulous collection of original tinplate trains, many of which came from his Dad's collection. We had a wonderful evening with good train friends.

Hope you all have a wonderful Sunday.

Afternoon all.  Been lazy this AM.  Now to get moving.  Wifey gone.  Will clean house to help out.

Dennis, glad a cat was not chasing the mouse.

Got to call Shake and Bake.

Mike, glad the leg is better.

Guess Kev is traveling.

Have a great week ahead.

PS: sorry PTC, was going to ask if leaves had started turning up there.  We've got the late summer/early fall thing here.  Some minor stuff.

ChiefEagles

Guess Kev is traveling.

Right Chief!

Just got back about noon.
Looks like most here are doing well.

Still doing 77 MPH in my head,,got to chill out some. Six hours at the wheel takes some burn down time when I stop these days.

I went to our friend Mark's place up in the Wisconsin north woods. We had a good time and got Mark's wood stove installed and ready. He got it from me a few years ago but we just now put it in. His cabin was only finished last year. Also we built a road and installed a culvert so we can drive to the beaver dam lake island.
Some “here” may like to know there was frost on the grass up there when I left at 6:00AM  Also the trees will be about 80% turned in about two weeks there from what I can see. So nuf said.   Surprise
We got 2.5" of rain in a downpour when I was gone so I had to do some driveway / lane,  repair work as soon as I got home.
Got to run, lots to catch up on around the place.

Enjoy what is left of the day.

Mike, take care of your leg. These injuries can take some time to heal.

Chief, the foliage will be later than normal this year. Very few trees have started to turn. It has been a warm September, so I guess that is why.

I am working on a friend's track plan. He is doing a renovation project, so it has been fun once again to work on this aspect of our hobby.

Looks like another georgous week weather wise with cooler tempaeratures than last week. Unfortunately, it won't be  long before we will need to use some heat.

Aloha. Looks like this will be a nice week of weather after storms Friday and a pleasant weekend. That frost is coming! Spent Sunday doing outside-prep-for-winter punch list items. Up and down ladders and moving things around, painting like mad too - I am paying for it this morning, but it's done. I even got out on the water on a very blustery Saturday morning and didn't capsize the sailboat.

Boy, my beloved Bears looked bad too. It'll be a long season, but then again, that was promised...

Long time since I've posted.  Lots going on the last few weeks.

My wife got the cateract fixed on her other eye.  We made a trip to Michigan the week before last (2000 miles worth), played catch up at work last week and had a pothole in a tooth repaired today (joy of joys).

Buckeye - Where did you eat in Lansing?  I grew up there.  In fact, we missed each other by just a couple of days - my wife and I got there the Tuesday after Labor Day.

Lion88roar - Hang in there on your employment issues.  Something will come up sooner or later.  I've been there when the plant I was working at closed.  I was helping to move and start up tooling instead of software.

Four cars came in last week - a Moon Pie boxcar, the new Polar Express art boxcar, the re-issue of the flat car with rockets, and my favorite, the animated zombie gondola.

All for now.

Good morning all,

Been having trouble with my old computer this morning.  Net does'nt like my browser.  My son was able to put me on firefox and now I can access the internet.  My computer has next to no capacity for anything and is out of date.  Time for a new one.

My son is taking over care giver duties today and I am going out to lunch with friends.  Same gang that run trains together in the winter time.

My grandson was off to college on Sunday and getting settled in his on campus digs.  They have 4 boys to an apartment with two bedrooms.  Two kids in each room.  First week is no classes but orientation stuff.  Hope they lay down some rules for their housing.  My grandson was embarrased the first day by his roomate bringing in his girlfriend.  I doubt it that's allowed but it would be a no brainer to me.  Hope it all works out quickly.  He missed a chance to get housing with some people he knew from his high school so he had to take a place with a stranger.

Have a good day,

Ray
