Good evening all,

Busy day at work.  Cooler weather.  Watched the Flash and Izombie.   The season ending for the Flash was a huge disappointment.  Izombie was not the season ender which is good.   Monday's wreck was much closer to a tragedy than initially thought.   All medical crews involved deserve major kudos.  My soccer season is supposed to start tomorrow.   I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Evenin' All.

Roy, We sure could use some of that rain here. Had a little bit thursday ~ saturday, not quite two inches. Maybe again this thursday and friday, hopefully. Now they are talking about this being an El Nino this fall, lots of rain.

Waiting for the cardiac specialist to call with a surgery date to put in my ICD. Cardiologist says this will minimize the potential of a cardiac arrest. It's kinda like a pacemaker with an attitude. Hopefully the bill won't give me a heart attack. Smile, Wink & Grin

Good Evening

One finger hunt and pecking right along here. The little Spring is cuddled up on my other arm so here I be....typing weird.

It never got anywhere near 50F and stayed dull all day. Maybe tomorrow we will see 50F Whistling mmmmmm....just a coupla days ago we were at 80F and now this....Tongue Tied

Got a bunch of HO scale locomotives tossed at me this afternoon. A bunch of Atlas and Athearn RS's and F units and other such things...as well as a bunch of HO scale buildings. A member of our diner gang had a friend of his die a week ago Angeland left him with his whole layout. This included over 300 lokes and 500 piecces of rolling stock. Tongue Tied A lot of this is going to end up on Eric's layout...once we remotor them and et cetera...

Evening all!

Back from travels to the great southwest.

Raining here and now we have flooding. Rain predicted for next several days. Dams releasing water. now if we could get this kind of rain for another couple of years maybe the drought would be declared over. What's next? Mosquitos in large quantities!

Regards, Roy

Morning all

Chief I know you know it was started as a joke but in realality that would be a dream retirement bit. It could be a blast. and you know actually thats what this hobby really needs is some Mom & Pop retired run some Train/hobby shops where they make a little not a lot but aren't really worried about proffit more as something to do but not loose money either. As a whole not only $ wise I couldn't do it but I would also have to be back of house also as I don't do well with strangers anymore so that would put a hurt on me doing it. But it is a good idea for someone shame some one can't take it over though.

Not much going on here today. Queen hasn't gotten up yet but then we don't goto bed until real late either. ( some of the best shows now days are on late at night now. Big Smile

Talk to you all later you all have a good Tuesday

From 85 yesterday to maybe 60 today.

We went to the nursery for flowers and I thought we were at the grocery store. Veggies and flowers that use to come in 6 packs were now in 4s. tomatoes are already planted, so I'm good to go on that someday to come BLT.

Aloha from a grey and cold Chicago where I'm wearing both jacket and hoodie to walk to work. The temps dropped like a rock in a pond last night. Ran Ivor for a bit after work. Looks like a day of meetings. Kev, that's a great looking engine!

Mornin' boys.  Soggy and 68 here in the Mid-Atlantic region.  The humidity is a bear.  Gotta drop the Dodge off for 4 recalls this morning.  Will help Brother-in-law with his new house during the wait.  Wifey and princesses return from AC today.

Buckeye - That was nice. Thank you.

Good evening all,

A long day at work.  Watched Grimm tonight on the internet.  Interesting way to end the season.   Bad day at the track again today.   I have been watching events at IMS for a long time, and there have been years when speeds jumped a lot and people were nervous.  This year is different.  This is scary stuff with all this air time.  Combine this with the weather being "iffy" on Sunday and this could be a disastrous weekend.  I hope and pray I am wrong.....

I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Morning all.  Beautiful day out.  Mayor's day and night starting at noon.

Thanks to all you who went to work this Monday.  SS came right on time last week. Ditto here too.

Todd's Train Depot will "sell out" and close.  Last decent O gauge dealer in the areas.  Guess all will be on internet from now on.  Sad.

Time to give up being mayor and all those meetings and take over todd's train shop and do what you really enjoy Trains

Have a good one.

Good morning all,

Frank, sorry to hear that Todd's is closing.  Train stores are getting few and far between in areas outside the big cities.  Even here none are near me now.

Well, our church festival ended last night and I did not win the raffle.-----again for the 30th time.  Oh well, it's for a good cause.

Cool cloudy weather continues here and makes it comfortable.  Good train running weather.

News headline says two guys died while base jumping with parachutes at Yosemite National Park.  One of them was a noted rock climber.

Curious to hear if the FBI can determine what kind of missile hit the windshield of Amtrak 188 in Philadelphia.  Might shed some new light on what happened to the engineer.

Got a MTH original Norfolk and Southern AS616 Baldwin road switcher on hold with a dealer who will call me when they get them.  Will be first engine I have purchased in a long time.  Mainly for sentimental reasons because I remember them in North Carolina back in the 50's when visiting grandma near Washington, N.C.

Aloha from a muggy and warm Chicago. I better enjoy it - looks like the high will be 53 tomorrow. Sheesh. Glad you are already enjoying retirement, Fife! Got some train books for my birthday which will be great. I enjoyed visiting a pretty elaborate model rr club at our local Sun City development yesterday. They had layouts in N, HO, O and and outdoor in G. Pretty nifty.  Locomotive of the future in July 1939

Good morning from a confused North Bluff.

Kind of a bad start today. Wifey had my Dr. apt on the calendar for 8:00AM today. Dr office has it for 8:00AM tomorrow. Laugh   Bang Head

Hope to get the part for the Pre-war Marx project today so something can go right.  Huh?

When it dries out some the grass around the house is calling for a cutting.

Edit: got the part and finished the Marx project. A 1666 motor in a pre / post war CP steamer. fun little engine and under $30.00 in it.

Doug this would work for you!!!!!  Smile

Pulling some Lionel cars and tender. The 1666 motor will work on Lionel switches and has a traction tire and will pull some good cars. Fun. Wink

Evenin' Fellas

Had a fun weekend with my parents, even including a trip to the ER for my Dad last night. I really hope the scare makes a difference for him and he gets his weight under control. Had a nice talk with him on the way to the ER (glad he didn't have to stay).

Fife - 30? That is a very big loss for the county, esp with all that is going on. As the song goes 'Who's gonna fill their shoes?' Hope we can get together before the big move?

Christina really doesn't like the walking boot. Her knee looks a bit better, and her ankle looks about normal. She informed us today that she is done with the boot, but we convinced her that she should still wear it at daycare during outside time. She still limps a bit, and complains about pain, but I do think it is getting better.

Chief - sorry to hear about Ms Edna... that is going to be a tough loss.

Good evening all,

Watched qualifying on ESPN3 for the "Greatest Spectacle in Racing".  I felt for Buddy Lazier.  I think some people talked him into entering the race to make sure they would have 33 cars and some teams added more cars so he was bumped out.  Indy car messed up qualifying anyway with some last minute rule changes.  Honda was not happy as it seemed to benefit Chevrolet.  If Indy car ticks off Honda, that would be bad.   Took down the standard gauge layout today in prepping for new construction.  Got my team roster for the Columbus summer league.   Should be fun.  Chief, sorry to hear about Miss Edna.   I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,
