I like both the conrail quality, and normal scheme.

Why dont you like the quality scheme?

At least the new guy chopped the short hood and not the long one. He'd have a lot more explaining to do.

IMO this is one http://www.locophotos.com/PhotoDetails.php?PhotoID=45654 Like someone took two perfectly good paint schemes, chewed them UP, washed it down with tequila, ate the worm and puked it all UP. It would have been better if they'd had a contest with railfans to dream a paint scheme instead of hireing some non RR design firm.

This is sad looking too http://www.geocities.com/drgwlpd/JPEGs/UP4056.jpg

Railroads are "a device of Satan to lead immortal souls to hell." - an Ohio school board, 1831 - quoted in CTC Board 8/05 "If you ever wonder how you have freedom... Think, a veteran!!!" - My thought 1/08 Hey man, I don't have to try to remember the 60's... I lived too close to Eugene, Oregon.

As a fitting end, the CSX BQ23-7s were turned into B-units, the windows all plated over.Shock [:O]

I think there were only 10 of the BQs, and five similarly-configured GP50s built for Frisco.  The Geeps weren't quite as homely as the BQs -- basically, they had an elongated EMD spartan cab and a short short nose.  Both were intended to get the entire crew on the engine, and eliminate the caboose; less crew eventually solved the problem, without making any more of the "Quarters" cabs.

Yes, that CSX 3003 definitely falls into the ugly category!  What the heck is it?

Although this locomotive looks cool, I think it still falls under the ugly catagory.
