Wow, Ed i almsot fell off my seat when you said Paul Martin, didn't know the news reached that far south.

I like him, he's a true liberal.. The outgoing prime minister said he doesn't want to see the party moving Rgith wing.. Ieven i'm slighly worried about that too, Otherwise i might be stuck voting NDP (Socialist Left wing party)

But when it comes to Railroads
He's half and half.

A short time ago, 700 million (correct that if its wrong) was alotted to Via rail, for new cars and for track upgrades to allow for future High Speed Via Rail. As of right now in msot cities, the maximum A train can move is 95 MPH but in rural areas it can be as slow as 65 MPH.

Thats why they needed the money for track upgrades.

But Paul Martin I believe will take the money and spend it somewhere else, and may only enbd up Giving Via rail half that amount.

I believe that Paul Martin will spend a fair amount of time repairing our relationship between the United States and ourselves, I personally think our Relationship is fine.

But seeing as it's out with the old, in with the new.. They're doing a budget count now, to see exactly how much money is where.

As of right now, he's got my vote, Now that might change in the next few months [:D]

Is anyone else making a list? Not that anyone has to, but i wouldn't mind. Easier for me. I'm gonna see what states we have left, but i doubt anyone is from Hawaii.

Bad news Alex...

TV ads here in California say that California cheese is the best because it comes from happy cows.......

Of course California cows have probably dabbled in a chemical substance once or twice to make them that way....[:)]

What do you mean, That aint hay!

The nice gentleman from Columbia said that was the "best darn hay" you could buy....

It smells funny, but the cows love it!

Besides, those Nappa Valley cows get some really, really good wine with their "hay".

Delavan, WISCONSIN-after years in Chicago area and Lexington, KY, suffer badly from train depravation. As needed W&S road switcher with 1-3 cars doesn't make it. On the other hand, in twelve years, I have never had to wait for the second green at any of the six stop lights in town and my copy of Trains gets here quick. Go Comets Soccer.

Greetings From Massachusetts

I am so new to this industry that it is scary! But I have been part of the work force since 78, and the one thing that I have learned to do, is to listen to those who have come before me.

You can never go wrong by keeping your mouth shut and asking questions!

Sincerely

Croatia. You should see it to believe it. Some FANTASTIC cheese here, too, esp. from the island Pag (Paski sir - made of sheep milk (or is it shep milk, Kev?) - if you really like cheese, this one's worth searching for).

I hope we'll soon be in the United States of Europe, the United States of the World next.

Best regards to yall,
Oliver

"Fell off, with my help"

that saying really refers to Trains, it's a french saying
Invision this..
Ever been in a city bus and someone falls down the stairs and lands on the side walk?
thats "piqué une debarc" To fall off," unitentionally or accidnetly
same thing with a Train, when someone falls down the stairs and lands smack on the platform Thats "pique une Débarque"
That saying was origanly invented for Trains, when someone would accidently fell off.

"Avec l'aide de moi" means With my help

So it's

Fell off, with my help

Thats really mean actaully..

oh well..

merry Christmas cabforward.

It's a particularly dull day at work. Every time someone comes in my office I give them something to do...so they stop coming in. [;)]

As for the other......our system's firewall will cut off log ins. So I have to enter my user name and password each time I post. When I go back to the forum contents page it cuts me back off. So it does show me online, but only as a guest.

Its not magic...it's microsoft.[:D]

FLORIDA, the sunshine state!
Tampa Bay Area "rail info":
Class One Rail Service: CSX ( I sure miss SCL!). Plenty of intermodals and Phosphate trains. Nice mix of 4 and 6 axle power, GE & EMD. GP40-2s and GP38-2s can still be found! Old U-boats are gone (sigh). Couple of GP30 slugs still in service. If you visit, photograph these old time Geeps while you still can!
Passenger Service to Tampa Bay: Amtrak Palmetto (wi***hey'd return the diner & sleepers!). Lately Palmetto has been full!
Tampa Bay Railfan hot spot: Uceta/Yeoman Yard. Between 50th st. & 78thstreets. Huge! CSX personnel are usually friendly, but ask permission before coming on the property to snap photos!
For model railroaders: visit Happy Hobo Trains & Chester Holley Model RR. VERY friendly & helpful!

Plant City: NIce clean town, Ag & industrial based. Lots of local switching activity.
Locomotive Service facility in Lakeland.

FLORIDA's "Hottest" rail spots: Cities of Jacksonville and Miami. Rail activity galore.
CSX, FEC. Lots of foreign power. AMTRAK: Silver Meteor, Silver Star, Palmetto.

Sanford Florida: AUTO TRAIN terminal (longest passenger train in the world!

Ok everyone, what Ed was RAELLY TRYING to say above was, It doesn't pay to make fun of "The Kevin"

He said it subliminaly, and i don't know if the other people could pick that up, so i'll clarify.

Ed is the more fortunate one who gets to sell pens rather then Pencils.

it just doesn't pay...
