Posted by cr6479 on Thursday, July 13, 2006 7:32 PM
I am starting a new theard. This theard is for CSXT lover, railfans and for NON CSXT lover, railfans. Like the CONRAIL THEARD FOR EVERYBODY that i have posted along time ago. Enjoy this theard. I will do each railroad (theard for everybody) every 6 months depends on how many users answer the theard.

They have been working on the track and their is one bridge that crosses the Broad river and in 2008 it will be one hundred years old and it is all steel.

I hope the steel holds up. The might have to have  the trains do 30mph not exceeding 30mph over the bridge.

Conrail should of been out of any merge with CSX. Conrail should of stayed to their roots.

CSX had B&O's "homegrown" SD20-2's. These were "bashed" using SD35's with non-turbocharged EMD motors. They were often, if not always, paired with slugs. B&O #'s 7700-7704, CSX #'s 2400-2404; B&O's 7700 and 7702 swapped #'s at some point. None are used in CSX service, however #'s 2401 & 2402 were sold to the Ohio Central Railroad. 2401 was sold to the Pacific Harbor Line, and renumbered to 45.

CSX had no GP20's.

Yes, CSX received LMS #'s 700-711; renumbered to CSX 7918-7929. All are listed as active, although CN owns some ex-LMS locos; origin unknown.

CSX #'s 7918-7925 and 7928-7929 are still in LMS paint; 7926-7927 are in CSX-YN3 paint.

IC/CN 2455-2466 ex LMS(-X) 728-739, I don't know what the ex CR number is. CSX did not get any locos from NS and sell them back, The C36-7's sold to OHCR and they got a SD60I from NS and still use it.

No they never got touched by the CSXT brush, the GP7's were in FLS paint, the GP9's were in CS paint with B&O markings. Most likely CSX never used them and retired and scraped after the SBD/CS merger.

Instead of asking questions on here try searching sites or google search. I got this info from,
