Probably not. I got to the point where it felt like I was talking to myself,so I moved on.
In addition, some fool kept dogging me about it via e-mail. I never did figure out who it was, because it was a hot-mail address. Apparently someone who reads these forums thought it was important to anonamously nit-pick me over something incosequential. Some people have weird hobbies. Go figure![xx(]

Indeed we could, Murphy. It is a bad situation. But I have no regrets over anything I posted there. I am, however, quite surprised at the virulence of the outbreak.

(I thought with the full moon, and apparant uprising in Oklahoma at this hour, maybe we could all use a little laugh?)

The Wikipedia entry online does say December 3, 1967 as well. It also says that was just before the PennCentral merger(?). It's a strange world we live in, that nearly 40 years later, the movie with the same name seems to be as well remembered as the train.[}:)](Thanks espeefoamer)

It's a small world. The only time I took a vacation to Upper Michigan was in 1986. I think I missed the train, though.

A little known and surprising bit of information, the Soo caboose mixed trains survived until 1986!!!

SEPTEMBER 20 1986 - Soo Line discontinues hauling passengers in cabooses in Wisconsin and upper Michigan
