Look with those people bought their new homes or condo's they must have surely know of the BNSF moves thru town. If not I guess the situation comes under the "buyer beware"comment you hear about all the time. You know they say all the fruits & nuts in world are in California so they should have check things I guess more thoughly then they did[:D]

We have the same the problem with towers. We build our tall towers out in the middle of nowhere, where they will not bother anyone. Then everyone moves in next to the towers and then complain they want our multi-million dollar towers moved somewhere else! Hello did you not notice the two thousand foot tower when you were buying your land? Zeeesshh - idiots.

I wondered how long it would take the whole selfless 9/11 attitude to wear off... Guess it's about time. Now we can get back to really important things to complain about... Like those *** trains getting in the way... I also really hate it when somebody leaves the cap off the tooth paste... And I don't even want to count how many times people have left their shopping carts blocking a parking space I want. Think I'll call my local news station... Maybe they can do an investigative report.

Amusing....

(1) Typical Bay Area "Whine & Geez" party at granola bowl central.

(2) Short Term Institutional Memory Failure: Santa Fe lost it's Oakland District in 1980 following these same clowns fighting the railroad's plans to upgrade.

(3) The surviving route is very restrictive in it's geometry. You cannot go faster than 10 MPH without a major line change. They had a chance to modify things following the 1989 World Series earthquake (The Cypress/ 580 Structure fell on the line in two places, trapping a local switching "The Emporium"'s warehouse) - They failed...

(4) Same folks fought upgrading traffic safety by replacing a wig-wag with flashers, bells and gates in Richmond.

Too cheap to pay for a grade separation and the seriously overpaid county (lack of) planning department could not get the get-rich-quick developers to build it before proceding with the redevelopment. Endemic of why people flee California in droves.

The morons in local government and the morons buying the condos deserve each other.

If they don't like living there, then they can move. I will go and buy a house there just so i can watch them all the time [:D] If their city government wants somthing donr then they should build an overpass like they were looking into. Propose a short term sales tax hike to pay for it, im sure the residents would go for it. The article quote was right, the trains were there first. And the people need to suck it up and deal with it, or leave. How stupid can people get?

Sounds like the trains were there before the condos and the people living in them made the choice to live there. I'm going out on a limb here but if the trains are such a problem, I bet there's other places to move to. In the meantime, just let 'em sit there and look for the caboose.
