Congratulations to TRAINS, and the staff!

On the inside, on the cover is a little symbol of TRAINS 80th  year of publication...1940 to 2020 !Happy B-Day

That just killed ME! Bang Head

I think it was back in an issue in the 1950's(?)

There was an offer for a LIFETIME SUBSCRIPTION for $50 bucks !  Huh?

Bang Head  I did not take it up.. For various reasons at the time....[mostly, lack of funds!]CryingCrying

Not to mention at the time, I think I remember, that the price per issue was less than one George Washington Sigh

So here I am, April 2020... About to order my next year 12ea@ $40.80.

             HECK OF A DEAL  SoapBox

                                                 So Congratulagtions, TRAINS !

                                   Another year older!   Geeked

Yes, Sam, money supply was quite limiting 69 years ago, as mine was when I found my first issue (with the father and son watching the Abraham Lincoln in Joliet on the cover).

I wonder if there is anyone still getting magazines from that offer.

I did sign up for an NMRA life membership before I left for Vietnam in 1967. I thought it would be a good deal if I made it back, and if I didn't I wouldn't miss the money.
