"Trains" All-Access Digital Access

Has anybody taken advantage of the "All Access" pass for Model Railroader? For $4.95/month you get MR Video Plus (monthly how-to and layout visit videos) PLUS access to ALL past issues of Model Railroader. My friend has and he loves it.

With the "Trains" back-issue CD set now obsolete for Mac users, any of us who would like to see a similiar All Access pass to Trains back issues need to stand up and be heard.

Let Kalmbach know you are interested in such an offering. I know I'd gladly pay $2-3/month for access to all back issues.

Yes, over on the Model Railroader portion of these forums I have started a sort of "book club" using the All Access Pass/Digital Archive of back issues: each Monday I select an issue and over the course of a week various people post their reactions or responses to it.  It has turned out to be a good practical way of essentially "forcing" those with access to look at at least one past issue a week, maybe more.  And everything is fair game for comment, from articles and photos to product reviews, advertisements, editorials, and classifieds.  We usually get several dozen comments and often well over 1000 "hits" from those who listen in, so to speak.

Of course those with the DVD or access to hard copy issues are also welcome to join in the book club.

Something similar could easily be done if Trains was to institute its version of an All Access Pass.
