I didn't.  That's the basic problem.  I was hoping to get away with just copying and pasting as I can with some other blog managers.  Didn't work.  Dunce

Strange happenings just now on the webcam- two UP trains, one EB and one WB, both stopped on the diamond.  The engines on the WB had just barely made it across; now they're moving again.  EB still stopped.

EDIT:  EB now moving again as well.  WB was a short local.  I wonder if the signals for both dropped out on them as they approached the diamond?  The EB was moving pretty fast as it started to cross, but it sure stopped in a hurry.

Visitor Center has move up where we can see the lower light on the right of the screen.

I'd still like to see it moved up a little more so we can see all of that signal and to the right so we can see the signal for track 1.

But now if you are using IE-11 you can click on the full-screen icon in the lower right corner to make it go to full screen to show you the rotating daisy and "Loading EarthCam  Stream"... (but double-clicking the screen no longer reverts it to the window view).

Ain't cornphewtors wunnerful?

Gosh! How have I ever survived this long without a full screen view of a drawing of a blue-and-white flower?

The Esc key still brings you back to a normal view though.

Now that that problem is solved, I've got a question.   Why does the Rochelle webcam appear twice on the "webcams" page?

I sort of like those used car lot penants.  On days when the wind is not enough to move tree branches, they still move, thus assuring you that the picture hasn't frozen.

Besides they may scare the birds away from the seeds long enough so that young vegetable plants get started in order that they may be eaten by the rabbits!

Seeing all the posts about screen capture difficulties induced me to experiment. Per modern day web 'designIck! practice the EarthCam folks put icons without help balloons along the window bottom. Clicking the middle 'camera' icon results in a new 'Share' browser window popping up about fifteen seconds (!) later; this delay is due probably to the use of 'new window' rather than 'new tab' prehistoric browser (IE6) compatibility mode.

At the very far right of this 'email' dialog is a green down arrow icon - click it and you get a normal 'Open / Save' dialog that lets you save to file or view in the image editing program of choice.

FYI I'm using Firefox on Linux Mint - if it works here it should work anywhere! Surprise  Double FYI, be sure you have an up-to-date version of Adobe Flash installed.

NS "Nickel Plate Road" heritage unit was second of three on a WB BNSF mixed consisit train that cleared the diamonds at 1628 CDT. I believe seeing that unit is personal first for me.

I just now snapped this photograph of two Union Pacific intermodal freight trains passing each other in Rochelle, Illinois.

Union Pacific Intermodals Meet

When watching the live streaming video from the web camera, I just hit the "PrtScn" button on my keyboard, then I opened my "Paint" program, hit the clipboard icon, and there it was.

I saved it as a "JPEG" file, uploaded it to my "Flickr" account, put it in my "Railroad Trains" album, and here's the URL for the photograph":

Directly - you can't.  You have to post it in a application that supports user created photos and then post the link to that location here.

Now that's the way to make a living. Big EB UP container and trailer train from the west coast with 3 units up front and one in the middle at 1651 CDT.

Hard to say who's doing better right now. BNSF just followed up with an impressive WB with containers and many trailers. YRC/Roadway, JB Hunt and UPS. At 1701 CDT.

The spider was busy again....

I think the spider has figured out that sunlight reflecting off the camera lens will attract prey.

Of course, that's just speculation, as I'm not an entomologist.

Looks like the train center got shifted to the Left Can't even see the light at all. Noting this as a UP WB on TK 2 Autorack with a BNSF as a DPU... (Hey, your on the wrong track!!) as always, they never listen.

Keep expecting a ferris wheel, and a roller coaster to show up with all the fluttering flags around the 'garden' to the left center. He has some kind of fan thing, on a black pole and a red body.

Hey Trains... is it possible to add a volumn control to the stream?

Not good for the area ...

https://www.rochellenews-leader.com/article/another-round-of-layoffs-announced-at-rochelle-rail-car-facility

“We continue to confront technical complications and delays with the bi-level rail car project that have forced us to evaluate the volume of work and the needs at our Rochelle facility.  As a result, we have made the difficult decision to reduce our workforce at the plant by approximately 110 people.  This reduction will come from all areas of the company - both hourly and salary employees will be impacted by this announcement.

Did you accidently zoom in?  Roll the mouse wheel back toward you... or click the "Minus" sign ("-") in the lower left corner of the video area (it should be there when the mouse arrow is over the video area).

it's back to normal now. BUT, It is more to the right than usual. Nice spider web too, can clearly see the strands right now.

But FYI, I don't even use that feature. I logged in abouts O' dark hundred and watched the sun come up, a lot earlier there then here, East central Oklahoma and we were still dark.

I keep the cam at a 4"X5" cause I do a lot of work at home stuff. trains cam on top left, Baily Yard cam below it, then my word proccessor on the right. Then I listen to various music. That's why I asked about a volumn control on the stream.
