Any ideas as to where the engine was going?

That is just amazing. It is really hard to contemplate how pulling a train that size with only three units would have been so far beyond the comprehension of the folks that designed and built that steam engine.
Thank you for posting that video.

So shovel the coal, let this rattler roll.

blhanel Just caught something VERY interesting in the dim light- an eastbound UP mixed manifest on Track #2 included a steam engine on a flatcar near the front. Wish I would've been a little quicker with the trigger finger on the camera- train was moving pretty fast, though, and I didn't realize what it was until it was almost out of sight.

I'm using windows 10, with IE 11, as far as I know, it has all updates installed.
EB stack train slowly crossing diamonds (out of Global III?) with six (6) units on the point. Power transer?

Oops. Typed the above while the train was still passing. Looked up in time to see a block of auto carriers on the rear.

BaltACD Semper Vaporo schmaltz When is somebody going to mention the backyard on the left side of the picture? What is that stuff? We were just waiting for you to bring it up! :-) Looks to me like either: A miniature used car lot Or possibly a garden with the plants under some frost/freeze covers and the flags are an attempt to scare the wee birdies away. My guess is somebody setting up the backyard for a party of some kind.

I agree with Balt. It looks like there may be some garden/patio chairs lined up. Thanks for making me look. I just saw a BNSF gang train (work equipment) go by.
Never too old to have a happy childhood!
MKT Dave I have the updated active X, never had a problem going full screen.

It occurs to me from this and a couple of other recent posts that our problem with full screen mode may have been:
1) Definition of "full screen". In this case, "full screen" does not mean what you get by clicking on the small square at the top right of the IE screen; "full screen" is used here to mean the web cam view that has absolutely nothing else on your entire screen --- ONLY the web cam feed is visible.
2) Some Windows machines may not have been (or may HAVE been) updated recently. We tend to forget just how many layers of software there are between the source and the images and text that appear on our screens. And it's not only many layers; it's typically many different software makers who don't necessarily talk to each other or even like each other very much.

My guess it that it is a garden and the flags are there to keep the birds from snacking.
What flavor of Winders are you running?
I agree .. It looks like this is a older UI .. when I went to EarthCam's website I was able to go fullscreen with IE11 on other cams.
IE started blocking older ActiveX controls a while back, maybe the one in Rochelle is using a older control that was recently blocked in a IE update.
MKT Dave AgentKid Semper Vaporo I just ACCIDENTALLY got a FULL SCREEN display using IE-11!!!!! Forget the icon in the corner... DOUBLE-CLICK the video itself! Double-click it again to return to the original view. hee hee hee happy accident Using Explorer 11, full screen has never been a problem here. just saying...

Au Contraire Mon Ami... If you read back in this thread to last week you will see that something changed and the icon in the lower right corner no longer worked and that is how most people got to the full screen mode... worked in EDGE and some other browsers, but not in IE-11. It STILL does not work, but double-clicking the video area does work. I also find that that trick works in EDGE, too.
ChuckCobleighblhanel When I clicked on your link, all I got was a map of my area (Eastern Iowa). Funny, Eastern Iowa seems to look just like the San Diego area.

Yeah, and North Texas looks like both of those. See my edited post above.
But hope springs eternal ... or something like that. Let's try this link, provided by the Share option on the Bing tool bar: https://binged.it/2nXeh5h
That worked perfectly ... at least, it worked from a preview of this post. So why didn't I try that in the first place? DFU! Now let me submit it and y'all can try it, too.

Google Earth puts the coords as 40°28'45.02" N 81°39'52.41" W.

jeffhergertI had a posting on one of my facebook railroad sites about this engine, to late to give a heads up. The engine is a 2-8-2 and tender going to Clearing Yard and then to the NS. NS routing is through Columbus and Cosochten OH, final destination Sugar Creek OH.
Sugar Creek rang a bell so I tried to find it in Google Earth. 15 minutes later, Google Earth had still not finished initializing. When I finally got it canceled, I uninstalled it...no time for that nonsense.
Bing Maps found Sugar Creek in under a second (this is a fairly quick machine) and confirmed my memory. Sugar Creek is where a roundhouse was built a few years ago by a collector (the name long since escaped me). Here's a link to the birds eye view of that roundhouse from 500': https://www.bing.com/maps?lvl=11&style=h&FORM=BMSRAV.
I've never posted a Bing Maps link before so let me know if this should be my last attempt or this is the way to go (post Google Earth) .
++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Well, that didn't work so well ... unless you wanted a view of Collin County, Texas (my location) and environs. If you really want to see that roundhouse, you can do what I did: Start Bing Maps, search for Sugarcreek, OH, find the railroad (NS?) that goes through the middle of town, and follow it south just a little ways. You can't miss the roundhouse on the north side of the tracks.

writesongBut, what's up with the cobwebs stretched across the lens?
Unfortunately, the cobwebs have been a warm weather problem ever since the camera was set up. Volunteers do come out to clean things up, but spiders are very persistant.
But, what's up with the cobwebs stretched across the lens?
Is that one of Charlotte's kids?
The "FULL SCREEN" mode works when using the Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox web browsers, but not when using the Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome web browsers.
Boy, oh boy, oh boy, I'm sure glad we finally got it back, and SEMPER VAPORO figured out the solution!
It is only serendipity if I was looking for something and found something else...
All I was doing was having a twitchy index finger!
Semper Vaporo STOMP THE PRESSES! Errr... I mean STOP the presses... I just ACCIDENTALLY got a FULL SCREEN display using IE-11!!!!! Forget the icon in the corner... DOUBLE-CLICK the video itself! Double-click it again to return to the original view. hee hee hee happy accidents!

You get a great big Gold Star!
BTW, Escape will still get you back to normal viewing.
I believe that's called serendipity (had to look it up to confirm the spelling) but don't you just hate such Easter Eggs in software. I 'grew up' with IBM documentation where every comma was significant. It may have insulted my intelligence sometimes but it never left me in doubt. I don't have time for learning how to use a piece of software by trial-and-error.
KP has several photos of concrete turnouts that UP used in his epic Sunset Route thread.
There are a lot of kids at the park today. It is interesting watching some of the younger ones cover their ears when the engines sound their horns. It reminds me of AgentKid's little brother. Despite spending the first eight years of his life in a station, he never did get used to the loco horns. He also had a problem with fingernails scratching a blackboard. Remember blackboards?
