Actually, since it's the photo of the day, it should be updated every day. Unfortunately, when push comes to shove (like when I have a bunch of our e-mail newsletters to do), the Photo of the Day gets put off.

I typically put all the Photos of the Day in our "Photos, audio, & video" section. To find it, go to www.trains.com and click that link in the left column (under Resources). In the photo section, select Photo of the Day from the Category pull-down menu and then enter "Edward Blysard" (for this specific case) in the Keyword field. Then hit search. You'll be able to see all of Ed's photos.

Now the cat's out of the bag. Oh well!

Go to the top of the page, where it gives the list of magazines.
Click Trains. You'll get another page.
In the far left column, scroll down to Resources.
You will find Photos, audio, video. Click on.
You will get (approx. center of screen), there is a search section.
Click on, and will give you several choices, among them Photo
of the Day.

Hope I have helped you, not confused you. I had a lot of trouble
finding it myself originally.[:)]

Congratulations on a VERY good picture. If my cousin in Cal. were still alive,he
would want at least an 8" X 10" of it. (retired, unfortunately deceased SP eng.)

Very Nice Shot ED!!
Now I have something to look forward to this weekend with the other photos.
Our weather here in KY is getting to be a pain in the rump with the rain and chilly weather.

Ok, so now I wonder which ones of the bunch I sent he chose...
The SD45 was just too neat to pass up, just about all the SP power down here has the patch paint job and the UP shield decal on the nose.

For those wondering where the crew went, they just walked across the street, to buy hambugers for lunch!

And, of course, a question to go with the picture! BNSF has left some old Sante Fe's in their colors, but painted the BNSF logo on them. Why didn't UP do that to this one?

Way to go, Bud!

Not only is Ed the photo of the day today, Friday, on the Trains.com home page (with an unpatched, unwashed, SP speed-lettering SD45), he's also going to be the photo of the day on Saturday and Sunday. Yes, don't faint, three days in a row with new photos, and they're all Eds.

Be sure to check in on Sunday for what I think is the coolest shot I've ever used for the photo of the day. A little hint: it gives a whole new meaning to the phrase “as agile as a cat.”

Nice work, Ed!

Have a great weekend, everyone!
