The SD45 was just too neat to pass up, just about all the SP power down here has the patch paint job and the UP shield decal on the nose.

For those wondering where the crew went, they just walked across the street, to buy hambugers for lunch!

Don't tell me.......Whataburgers......oh a double Whataburger with cheese and jalapenos..........the grease saturating the bun and and little pieces of onion and cheese stuck to the wrapper.....Alas..what's in a name, but a burger by any other name would not smell as sweet....

Oh and nice pics Ed!!!!!

OK - from a confirmed "I really can't eat those any more" person - who has these Whataburgers? And Dan - don't you have Inn and Out Burgers - those are really to die for!

WHATABURGER!!!! WHATABURGER!!! That's the name of the chain...

In and Out is okay but it's no Whataburger......Whataburger cures all....hunger, hangover, drunk munchies, breakfast, clean arteries...it's wholesome comfort food.....In and Out is mostly hype.....

I forgot to add.....it comes standard with MUSTARD.....not that bizarre white french named mayonaise crap...MUSTARD! No freaky "special sauce" from mixing Catsup (what kind of name is this anyway) and maaayyoonnaaase...no thousand island dressing.....no hokey "secret recipe" ...MUSTARD! One of the holy trio of most blessed condiments........mustard, hot sauce and BBQ sauce....

Ok - this is where the true Midwest splits from the left coast. Ick! Mayo ok - rest is garbage and mustard should not be on the list of choices!

Mustard is not a left coast thing........this appears to be mayo central....I think that explains alot......plus they goop all sorts of stuff on burgers out here...

Stuff that's acceptable on burgers:
bacon
cheese - any type but cottage
mustard
BBQ sauce
Guacamole/avacado slices
lettuce
tomato
onion
jalapenos
pickles
grilled/sauted mushrooms
fried eggs ...now we're talking a gut buster supremo....

stuff that's not okay on burgers
mayonaise
mayonaise
mayonaise
miracle whip.......which should be outlawed and treated as HAZMAT
tofu
sprouts of any kind
any sort of fish product
pineapple
anything that has curds in it..or Kurds for that matter
anything that has the words Jenny Craig in it
patties that have been steamed.....Crystal Burgers.....yuuch!

Now wait a minute. I happen to like mayo on a good, loaded cheeseburger, along with the ketchup. I can't stand good ol' yellow mustard, but give me some of that spicy stuff and I'm all set.

As for the organic rubber - I mean mushrooms, well that's another story.

My kids, however agree with Dan on Miracle Whip, even though I don't mind the stuff.

Dan,

Remember the Mityeburger on 43rd street and T.C.Jester, just east of the fire station?

Well, they bought another building on Bunker Hill and Hammerly...

So now there's two of them.

Mookie,
If you ever get to Houston, I will buy you a What-a-burger,,,double meat with cheese, extra onions, and BBQ sauce on one side, mustard on the other...

You keep drooling for a hour after eating one!

(jeeze, I am starting to slobber just writing about one!)

Dan, they put brussel sprouts on hamburgers out there?
Yuck!

Your on!
Got the purrrfect place...

Hickory Hollow on Heights and Washington Ave...25 feet fro the old SP main, less than a mile from the Amshack and sees about two big trains every half hour...
And the food is good too...

I may only Gain 1 pound every 2 years, but they don't make a burger big enough for me in Texas-

Not even the Giant bevaer Burger satisifies me, So I know Texas won't solve my burger problems either.
