So, I looked outside this morning and saw - snowflakes.

Old Man Winter isn't giving this one up without a fight....

Tree:   my grand daughter stated it very quickly.

Otherwise, it's above freezing, and there's a pretty good wind blowing, so the snow continues to disappear.

We got about 8/10 of an inch of rain - really brought the creek up...

The Butler

Sunny and in the mid-fifties here in Southeast Missouri.  I saw Tab Benoit (a Louisiana Blues singer and guitarist) last Wednesday and will be watching a local blues band tonight.

I hope everyone has a good weekend.

Where 'bouts in SE Missouri are you located?

Raining here, pretty consistently.  No flood advisories, though, so it should be just another spring rain event (that will help melt more of the snow - and there's plenty left).

CSX northbound got hung up by a track supervisor.   Said foreman didn't want to give up the track, but the DS told him the train was going to go and his time was up when it was up.  After the northbound cleared his area of interest, he got the track back.

Pat's brother lives in Steelville (Rolla's the nearest big city), and we haven't heard about bad weather from them, either (our niece also lives there, and has posted on Facebook without mentioning it).

MC, we're supposed to have warm (well, seasonable), dry weather this weekend.  Can't be so optimistic about Monday, though...it may supply the mud to go with those feathers.

We have to go to Michigan for a memorial vigil this weekend, and should be returning on Monday.  We could check up on you.

Wind and rain yesterday morning until early this morning.  We lost twenty degrees somewhere along the way.  A tornado in St. Louis is the main story on the news.  Also, the wind caused a barge on the Mississippi River to come loose, to drift downriver, and to come to a stop when the boom of a crane aboard the barge came in contact with one of the road bridges across the river.

Nothing on the news about Rolla, which should be good news for your friends/family, Mookie.

Headed your way Mooks! Just for youKisses

(What did Willy neglect [on purpose] to tell the following class at dear old Weatherliar U on Seasonal Transition?...Hope it doesn't pass thru NW Indiana/ Chicagoland. I want dry conditions come Monday.)

Note to self: Thru Lincoln under cover of darkness this time. Number feathers as a precaution.

I will ask Willy - he will be here @ 3pm on Sat. trackside.  Annual trek to Lincoln for weather symposium - you know - whether we will have weather or not.

I would tell you to honk - but with annual migration of cranes, geese, pelicans and mudchickens - well, how would I know it was you?  Just remember, I got your feather number!  Mischief

Randy - you might want to check in with home - I think it's snowing there....

Looks like we'll see some rain, but escape the wintry and severe stuff, at least for now.

Thought I might catch some Northern Lights the past couple of nights, but I didn't.  It was mostly clear, too.

John: Yep, thermometer in truck hit 90 today as I was rolling through Durham, NC. First time this year.....

That time of year out here in So Central Ks... Looks like we are going to get some rain and weather ugliness. Huh?   Weather map shows lows and front all across this area from coast to coast...  Today was beautiful, walked outside in shirt sleeves.  Aty least it is not miserably cold , Temps in the 50s and 60 in the day and 30s and 40s at night...   BNSF traffic seems somewhat down in volume, since the weekend days...They were really moving thru here over the weekend. Must be pretty low on the boards... Have a good rest of the week everyone.   Be Safe. Cool

Question on gnome?  Did you miss the thread about Alaska?  Wink

CN was feeling bountiful today: a train every 15 minutes for a little over an hour.  Things "seem" to be thawing out for them, at least around here, at least for now.  Off to finish packing for Disney.  Aedan is just a little bit excited.

I was commenting on you coming in the window after me.

The Troll was in a couple of aliases, and if you read carefully and look carefully, you can usually spot them at their first posting.

Ground civil engineer - sounds like something on a cannibal tribe's menu.  Probably more expensive than the lawyer steaks...

Meanwhile - I don't think I've ever seen a live fly land on its back.  They're pretty "stupid" this time of year.
