UM....hows about we move the DD&CS into this: http://www.ozarkmountainrailcar.com/prr_e8_5808.htm
I'm sure selector and the Trains staff are independently wealthy enough to acquire it and I'm sure Mookie can drag out the big shoehorn and slide it in-between the Big-Boy and the DD40AX already in her backyard....

Made some notes....
Where's the porcelain god? Ugh orange has to go! $55K - not too bad a price. Must have original whistle. See they have his and her seats. But did they really need to stencil Fireman and Engineer on them? I can move the neighbors car and have more than enough room in back yard. There are 3 stalls back there and our neighbor can park at the neighbors.
Let me know when you are ready to ship!

Velly Interestink!! Does it come in any color beside orange? Red, White & Blue would be nice!
[I think there's room in our backyard without moving anything.]

Just wondering if it is still residing on Sprague Av in Spokane Valley WA. It's been a while since I lived there.
Good Friday morning, everyone. Mudchicken, love the idea! We could have a permanent home again, couldn't we?!?! But I do have to agree with Mookie and Mutt: the orange color should go.
Coffee, juices and other morning beverages are fresh and ready to go. Usual breakfast is on the serving station/warmer bar.
Everyone have a good morning, and see you all later.
morning
work day done.weekend here.graduation parties to go to.orange looks good on the 4449.Cw thanks for breakfast.Time for a nap while mom and matt go grocery shopping. We'll see what we can get into when they get home.
A rather warm "Summer" morning here....Partly cloudy but lots of sunshine too.
Having some more shrubs cut out again....Must get them down {in numbers}, that I can better take care of them. Too many, but now less than several years ago.
Witnessed very few trains on our 400 mi. journey back to home land Pennsylvania over this past long holiday weekend. But then, we weren't at too many "good places" to really see rail activity. Mostly interstates, etc...

I would like to know where my most recent posts went..... I wrote several yesterday and they are nowhere to be found.
We are either hearing thunder, or the preparations for this weekend's air show. It used to be held in May and was called the May Fly, but for some reason is in June now.
This Sunday is the wife's birthday. Hard to fathom that my old lady is really an old lady now.
Everyone take care

Tom.....You might look at the "May" diner site, as I answered a question on it that was posed when we were out east, and that brought it up to page 1 and you might not have noticed, and posted on it....Just a guess.
The best-laid plans of mice and men oft go awry....
Was supposed to be home this morning, but I guess due to a dispatcher's lousy sense of direction and timing, will not get home until tomorrow afternoon. Made it to Greenfield, IN, today, about 6-7 hours shy of home. Will just get up at midnight again and run in the dark, have liked doing it the last week and a half.
Well, off to bed, then the midnight run.......

Quentin...Did you buy a new car????
Your avatar used to have a white car.
Well..... I guess CW will be in shortly to refresh the food.......didn't get to see very many trains today, had other things on agenda.
On a very somber note, we had to have our 14 1/2 year old "puppy" put down today. She would have been 15 in Nov.
Arthritis and a couple of other things got to her and us.

I'm very sorry to hear about that Walt. Remember the poem about the Rainbow Bridge:
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food and water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing: they miss someone very special to them; who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. The bright eyes are intent; the eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to break away from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. YOU have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Willy
Walt and CW - sympathies to you from the Driver and myself. Any of us that have had pets know what you are going thru. Some others won't understand, but then they never had a place in their hearts for a pet.
Walt & CW: Add BossHen, da Boyz and myself to the list of those sending our sympathies. We got to meet "the puppy" when she was younger. 100+ in dog years is a pretty good run.
Willy, Mookie and mudchicken, thank you all! The three of us are already really missing our Win-Win pup-pup.
I have refreshed and replenished the serving station/warmer bar with our Fish Fry, and all the side dishes.
Everyone have a good evening, and I'll see you all in the morning.
All, Thanks So much for responding about the loss of our "puppy"; She will be(and is be sorely missed)
[as I'm typing this, she's not here next to me, she was half of my screen name.]
(does crying count?!)
Last word I had was that she had run over the "Rainbow Bridge", and was sniffing butts with a Dalmation, a Scottie or two, and some other dogs.
I don't think she'll have any lack of friends.
Murray Quentin...Did you buy a new car???? Your avatar used to have a white car.
.....A sharp eye.....But must answer yes. The former white Lexus has turned into a {just getting used to}, dark gray Lexus.....It has a color name and right now I can't think of it. Our white one we had quite a few years and the same day we traded, it made a young couple very happy.
We did a deal this past Friday and was planing to head out east to the home land for the long holiday weekend, so making the deal and still having to get ready when we got back home from the dealer made a busy evening.
Everything worked fine to and fro...

Walt.....that's a sad situation to endure....but the proper one for doing right for the pet. It can be very difficult. So our feelings are with you tonight.

A nice drive to Pennsylvania...Thats a good "break in" for her....
I bought a new Kia Rio for my commuter car last January...A surprisingly nice little car for the price....I have a Jeep Liberty that we used for long trips.

I had been seriously looking at the new 2011 Sonata {totally new}, for this model year, but the one we might have accepted is not officially in showrooms yet. They are coming with a 2.0L Turbo for the Limited and SE , but perhaps not until Fall.
And this one kinda fell in our lap, so that caused the car deliberating to end...Previous Lexus vehicles have really been great to us. Hope this one is too.
Walt & Paula; sincere feelings over the loss of your computer watching friend Winn - Winn. My Dixie Belle Boxer was a Pickup truck pal .No matter where she was in the house , she heard the key ring jingle and out the door to her ride. Some times when I get the keys I still remember her.~~~

Y6bs evergreen in my mind
Good Saturday morning, everyone. My heartfelt thanks to those of you who have offered your condolences to us. I came down the stairs this morning, looking for the Win-Win. Wonder how long we'll be doing that.
Coffee, juices and other morning beverages are fresh and ready to go. Hot water is ready for our hot tea drinkers; mudchicken's Gatorade is also cold and ready to go.
On the serving station this morning: the usual bagels and bear claws, along with turkey bacon, pork sausage links/patties, scrambled eggs, homemade buttermilk biscuits w/sausage gravy, cantaloupe, watermelon, kiwi, papaya slices.
The weather guessers are predicting a high of 91 for us today, with a fairly good chance of storms later this afternoon, tonight. So I'll probably be in a little early to post our pizza menu for tonight.
Everyone have a good day, keep safe, and take care on your outings/errands, train watching today.
Cw and Walt our sympathies from NW ohio.We are under a flood watch.Matt and I will have to keep our eyes on the sky as we go to my nephews graduation party. Will have places to duck inside if it gets too bad.Breakfast is ready.Juice and coffee are ready to go to.Going to put plenty of water in the cooler for today.
Joe
I'm slipping over to the Aledo fire station this morning for their fund raiser breakfast. Then folks are coming in for our rhubarb fest today. The high school band has the butterfly pork chop sandwiches concession. Yummy.
CW - it has been a few years that Mookie has been gone. I still hear her every so often when I open a can. Getting less all the time, but still once in a great while. They never really leave.
