Gee Mook, being a twin myself, I guess one of you was ready to pop out, and the other
one wanted to stay inside Mama a little while longer!! My twin always liked to tell
people that he was ready to be born and see what the world looked like: but I was in
front of him. So he kicked me out so he could get out! Very interesting, don't you
think?

Actually fixed breakfast this morning: turkey bacon and scrambled eggs. Pretty good
breakfast since I didn't eat supper last night. Walt did, I was just too hot from the
heat and humidity to want anything to eat.

Rainy Days and Mondays always.................make me very happy. And Rainy Days and Wednesdays ain't bad either.

Love cloudy days, love rainy days. Fair skin with no fur, so sun a bad thing - except to nap in during winter.

Feel bad for our lower right corner. Too much rain, too much wind, too much water - even paradise has it's drawbacks!

Procrastinating so don't have to cook breakfast....maybe a do it yourself day....

Will have to remember to tell CW that Brother Carl and I are twins - we were born in different states and different years. Makes us fraternal twins....

Yeah Mookie, a week ago last Thursday, DUMB BUTT decided to take the old mini
blind down and put up a new one while I was across the street at our neighbor's.

I came home after he had managed to get himself up off the floor. Of course, being
a MAN, he would not go to the hospital. He at least had bruised ribs, and probably
twisted something in his back,

In our living room, we have wall-to-wall furniture; so there's no room to get a ladder
in there. He had to stand on the arm of the sofa, and step over onto the endtable to
reach the blind. Lost balance, landed face up, flat on his back, between my recliner
and the coffee table. Have since been wrapping his torso with an ACE bandage.

Thanks Mook,I'm glad you like them. At least I didn't have as much trouble putting
them up,as I did putting a mini-blind up in our living room week before last.
Maybe CW will tell you about that one sometime.[:D]

been that mini-blind route with driver - learned a whole new vocabulary! Same one I learned when he worked on our old knuckle-buster car!

I saw that on GMA this morning,I'm still trying to figure out why he did that,
unless he thought he would die anyway, and hoped the baby would be spared.
Which thankgoodness it was. The state trooper that was there when it happened;
said in the 26 years he's been on the dept. he had NEVER seen anything
like that before, and hopes he never does again.

Jim,

I thought you 'might' get a chuckle out of the "tossed salad"[:D][}:)]

Bite my tongue - but my sources on radio said he didn't even stop to dump baby - just slowed way down.

The baby was in a plastic carrier, not even a car seat.

Sounds like a reasonably happy ending for all concerned.

I know - duct tape my mouf!

Heyyyyy, I like Diet 7 UP. [:p] I bought 2, 2-Liters bottles just yesterday.

And EVERYONE knows that chocolate cake and Mookie go hand in hand. [:D]

I am still laughing from the "tossed salad" remark. [:D]

Now on a different note, and definately not funny. I don't watch TV. I get my news and weather from the internet. Today AOL showed a film clip of a Wisconsin man throwing a baby out of a car during a police chase. The baby was in a child safe seat (Thank God) and was unhurt. The man hit a parked police car and died 3 days later. It is unreal what some people will do. He was only 23 and was engaged, the baby belonged to his girlfriend. A true story with a combination happy/sad ending.

Mookie, check out Jim's birthday thread for Kevin: he's the one who
assigned whom to fix what. That wasn't my doing: I just repeated what
he said. I wouldn't volunteer you for something without checking with
you first!! (cause I don't want you mad at ME) [angel]

Okay, let's get breakfast going here. Nothing too heavy: we all have to save room for
Kevin's (Fthunder11) chocolate birthday cake from Mookie, the french fries from Joe, and the brownies from me. And Jim, what are you in charge of for the birthday party?
Entertainment, music, what are you contributing?

Have to make plenty, because I believe that today is also Brian's (louisnash)
youngest son, Kenzie's birthday, too[8D] [angel]

Mooki......

And then there are the little old ladies who put on so much "parfum" that they can't smell it anymore, so they put on some more... And you thought Pepe was bad.

Seems like I read somewhere that the ladies should put their perfume "behind them" (ie, behind the ears) for that very reason.

It was referred to as toilette water (remember I took Latin not French) - in the glorious days of yesteryear - back when Dan, Ed and MC were small boys - (about 1800 something) ladies didn't sit in their SUV and put on makeup and fix their hair. They actually had Toilette time - the time they bathed, made themselves smell good and primped and powdered. Ergo, Toilette Water or cologne, which is lighter and far less expensive than Perfume. At least this is what the old people tell me.

You are right - more ladies are lost due to overdoing the $1.99 warehouse special aftershave/cologne than you think. You should always be a memory not a medical emergency. (You preceed your smell not the other way around!)

Why is cologne and perfume called Eau de toilet? In French to English, that would mean toilet water? I know where I can get plenty of cheap stuff but would fear it would drive woman away than attract them to me.
