I'm sorry Scott: I typed Zach's name instead of your's. Please forgive me.
I did not mean to do that. Didn't even notice my typo when I reread it. Again,
forgive me, please. But there is plenty, so anybody who wants some, can
have them: we all share here.

And don't anyone worry about having to have small portions: I have big dinner
plates, along with the "breakfast" plates, that are slightly smaller. So you can
have all you want of the spaghetti.

And along with the other cooking, I also baked some lemon bars. So we
have an extra dessert item tonight and tomorrow.

Italian spagetti and cherry crisp and pie--you really know how to get one's stomach rumbling like an EMD 645, don't you, CW?[dinner][dinner] My sisters and I would probably clean you out!!

Sarah, have you ever heard of the Bach Dancing and Dynamite Society? They're pretty good.

Beautiful day here, just got back from taking Archie (roommates dog) for a nice walk around our little cul de sac. I think he's getting more powerful every day, must be the bull mastiff in him.

I don't think there's a plate in the world big enough to hold tonites special, so we'll start off with a small order.

alstom I really do like the way you think!! CSX most definitly (spelling) rocks the east. Back in the in the Conrail days I would of said that the Big Blue rules the east, and it did. Goodness I miss the old BIG BLUE. Than again I miss a lot of things like the PRR days.........son on so forth ( I wasn't even born then in PRR days, and I miss them) Interesting....................maybe I should invent a time machine and get it patented.

Well, let me say this........ I'm READY FOR SOME RAIN NOW!!!!!!!! I don't care if it rains for 40 days and 40 nights I just want some rain. I need to see some flash floods, and lighting. I also need to feel the cool rain drops hit my face. I need to feel the wind too. Tonight I might get my chance since, it's suposed to thunder storm here in the Philly reagion. We'll see. Today at work I almost passed out it was so darn hot and humid. I was working in a building w/o AC and virtully no air circulation were I was working. Because the building sits directly in the sun if it's 97 degrees outside it's 120 degrees inside the building. I was so happy to get out of that building today.

CW I think I'm going to need a double sized regular plate for din din tonight because, I'm starving, and I happen to be really fond of Italian Spaghetti.

LORD HELP US ALL TO BE ORIGINAL AND NOT CRISPY!!! please? Sarah J.M. Warner conductor CSX

I've wondered what would happen if I made a new forum called "Depot Dinner & Coffee Shop." I wouldn't do that but it's just fun to thinhk about it. Another thing that I feel like saying is I've noticed most people are older then here (like 99% of the members). But still, everyone is usually nice to me. It's good.

MC and Tree - had another major fire here in heartland. Two men working on car, put gasoline into a styrofoam cup - it ignited and burned down a duplex - no not mine!

Then, they were caught again this morning illegally burning trash from the fire! Some people just don't learn, do they!

Hmm, you know what sounds good? Bostom Cream Pie...Yum.

He who might be called Fred, don't worry, it happened to me when I joined. I wasn't called a star chaser, because I couldn't post much with a dial up connection running at half-capacity and below. But, with the replies and all, some topics are hits, and some aren't. I know that most of mine haven't been. But, this forum is to learn and have fun, and that is easy to do.

BC - kitty could use a little pat....been one of those days.

Landpeople going to replace our carpet mid August. Throughout duplex. Carpet company told them, they will be responsible for taking up old one. I don't want a herd of people in all my 810 sq feet pulling up carpet, so Driver and I will try to do it a little at a time. Have heard nothing but horror stories about the dirt, the glued to the floor, etc. (The carpet has been down since Hector was a pup!)

Landpeople very nice - don't want us to lift a finger, but ....see above.....

Kitty has a headache!

See the thread on member rank...

Star chasing is posting useless drivel (as I mentioned in the other thread, things like "me too" posts - just agreeing with previous posters without adding to the topic). If you're asking questions and sharing your knowledge, no one will begrudge you your posts. Sometimes it helps to search the forums before you ask a question, though, as the topic may have been beaten to death previously. If the forum participants are thoroughly tired of the topic, you might get some curt replies.

Most important: Have Fun!

Any apple pie here in the diner? Some ice cream would be good with that, too.

Got out on yard detail this morning (branches, twigs, and a few weeds while the ground is still soft). We had just over an inch of rain yesterday evening.

MC, I'll warn them about both of the things you mentioned (they haven't gotten out yet--they had more to load than they realized, apparently--they stayed at our house last night).

Don't think I'll have time to make the bike trip I wanted to (still playing catch-up on freight car sightings), but will try for Elmhurst this afternoon/evening. Tomorrow, it's back to work.

I need to pet the kitty--which booth is she curled up under?

Shaping up to be a beautiful day here near Madison, my parents couldn't ask for better weather for the opening of Racine County Fair in Union Grove. Got down to 54 last night, going up to about 77 today, forecast is for near normal temps in the 80s for the next week.

Got a call fron Stoughton Trailer yesterday, looks like I'll be building trailers for them starting Monday.

Oatmeal cherry crisp... you said the magic words again[dinner]

...Jen, you said it all with "it is summer"....Oh how I hate the cold and winter. But today we got relief....66 now...{7:30}, and to go to a high of 72...!!! We won't know how to act. But as Jen noted, it's coming back...We too hav a forecast for above normal temps. to return after the weekend and stay for 10 to 15 days....Don't know how far above normal.
A strong system came though late last night and gave us some rain...Have my rain gauge out of service now as it is installed on top of my pitless well pipe adaptor and today is the scheduled day for a new submersable pump to be installed...I know we didn't get much heavy rain but again, just enough to keep things green...Yard is great now. Air still running to keep humidity out until it subsides. If it does.....

I like this whole idea, but I don't like how the latest posts go to the end. Then, if you want to look at the newer replies (like this one) you have to go to the end. But the Last>> feature is pretty handy.

Well, it is/was 54 for a low here in the land of Nod....(we nod a lot). But the heat will be coming back - won't be in the 100's for the forseeable future, but into the 90's by the weekend. So all that fun will come to an end!

It is summer - it isn't icy and it's time for breakfast ! See how great life is?

Good morning, everyone! Well, we're still waiting for the rain to get to us. Seems
it decided to slow down on it's way here. Small chance of a T-storm, they're saying
it should just be light rain, off & on, when it does get here.

Juice and coffee are ready.

Breakfast this morning: A special treat, as you will: oatmeal cherry crisp, along
with the usual turkey bacon, sausage, biscuits & gravy, along with cantalope
and watermelon slices.
