Whats for midnite snack? I'm working on another term paper as the -9's roll past the bedroom window. Makes for the perfect distraction.

Ex-professional railroader, I'll have you know. Still nice to get a complement from younger folks.

I appreciate those posters who take the time to display the depth and width of their knowledge and educate us, especially the professional railroaders. Thank you, one and all, for your willingness to impart your knowledge.

If anyone doesn't want fish for tonight, I've got roast, taters, carrots & onions
prepared for supper tonight, also.

To those of you who won't be "here" over the weekend, and a happy, and
safe weekend. And may there be plenty of trains in your weekend.

We have many "older" citizens on the forum. I am always surprised at the age range of very young and very mature.

Generally, I am older than most of the regular posters, but they accept me and that is good. Besides - we lived through the
50's and 60's! It was the best! Now they want the furniture from then, the music, the clothing..... I think that makes us "in demand".

Okay, everyone, the Friday Fish Fry is ready to eat. Got the regular menu, fried fish, fries, hushpuppies, cole slaw.

For dessert, we have ice cream Sundae Cones, and ice cream sandwiches, and orangecicles.

Mornin' All

The page is way out of whack. [:0] [B)] My poor finger is tired from scrolling back and forth to read the page.

Well the 844 is headed to Kansas. Instead of going West to get there it is going East. haha [:p]

I am loving the weather lately, spring-like it is. [:D] The nights are chilly and the days in the 60s to 70s. It can stay that way for several months for all I care.

Well today is my Tuesday. [8] I can bid a job at Jenks but would lose $1 an hour, but would have Saturday and Sunday off. I do kinda have something else in the fire tho, so I will wait and see how that turns out. [;)]

Well Duchess wants to go for a walk and I need to check on other things.

Everyone Take Care

Light rain here in Denver, mixed with some really big snowflakes. Think I'll stay inside a while. (not good for the fomacites/fomites out chasing Uncle Pete's #844 big steam kettle today east of town including one of my co-workers)....see lots of really tiny little green straws out in the lawn reaching skyward. Cabela's store here in Denver appears to be on hold whilst the highway and local road people quibble over a promised freeway ramp (and whose piggy bank gets raided)...

// scrounging for hot cider mix as rain mix turns to all snow here at 6200 feet.

Flying. Allegiant flies non-stop from CR to LV at a great price, if you book early. We've actually had this trip planned since January, but initially not for the wedding. Subsequent events forced the kids to align the wedding plans with the get-together plans. We can't divulge what those events are, but no, she's not pregnant- and neither one of them are in the military.[:-^]

Just adding a post to speed up the process of getting us to the next page.
This one doesn't fit on my screen and by the time I shift to the right I forget what was said on the left.

Joe, thank you for putting on the coffee, and making the juice.

Larry, thank you for the bear claws this morning.

Mookie, if it's all right with you, I'll get us a couple of mugs of coffee,
and will join you at the swing.

Brian H., hope you don't get that much rain this weekend. Don't
want you all floating away.

Along with it being Friday Fish Fry day, is there anything else anyone
wants for lunch today?

TGIF! Too bad they're predicting a biblical flood this weekend for this area. Oh well, maybe I'll get some honey-do things done around the house for a change.

In the meantime, if anybody wants to bug me, I'll be in my recliner over there...

bbbb %oo% - Wet out there.

Shall I dance like Gene Kelly? You know he was good, but I won an honor he could never win - 4 footed dancing!

Ger - it isn't classified - 2 years after Pearl Harbor to the day. (Little history - in fact that is about the only history I know!)

Tree - wetter water - That comes from South Texas if I remember right. Never got so wet in my life as I did at Padre Island.

Chicken - good to hear from you! Cabelas is becoming kin to Driver. I have seen those foldable rockers, and they are comfy.
Only problem is when I stand up they follow me.

You know how easily we felines embarrass......[:I]

Tree - tulips are gone here already - they were pretty - wi***hey smelled better (at least better than nothing!)
Throw a doggie claw on for me. That sounds good!

And the Driver is safe for another year - the forsythia is done blooming - (for - this- e -a ). He gets his tongue in front of his
eye teeth and can't see what he is saying....

I will be out on the swing - hammock for rent - (maybe CW and Mutt would like to try it out?) Now I am blushing.....

I know there's a bearclaw in here someplace. I can throw it on the griddle while I get my tea.

My poor tulips are just starting to bloom, but don't know what to think. This is syruping weather, a month or so late (nights below freezing, days above).

Law enforcement personnel use a slighly different version, whereby they ensure that the entire incident can be viewed through a donut hole...

HazMat lesson complete.

Next lesson is on hose stretchers and "wetter water."
