Don't forget the Lounge over here--For some reason it never gets that broken-in appearance!

The CRO Extra Board has been cut in half--the gal I was refamiliarizing last month is hanging on by a thread. I got to work with her today, and she did a decent job. More cuts are coming, though, and if they trim the yard board like they were talking about, she (and a few others) may just be gone anyway.

Work on the new main line (third track) around Proviso might be starting already. I've seen an engine moving panel track and ballast cars around, and today I was hearing the two-short horn calls from road engines used for men and equipment near the track. There may be some pilot jobs put on eventually. I'll probably be able to keep an eye on this project when it finally becomes biking season.

Speaking of biking season--not!--we're under a winter storm warning for tonight through tomorrow evening. We'll wake up to an inch or more of snow tomorrow morning, and could get four to eight inches of the stuff before it quits.

Since Bergie has opted to lock the most recent "Flat Wheel Cafe" thread (likely for reasons of it getting a little bit "top heavy" after all this time), let's start a new one here.

Hey CW, what's for dinner tonight, I am building up a powerful hunger for some of your good cookin'
