I wonder what the gestation period is for diesels, and how can you tell if they are pregnant????[}:)][:0][:p][:D] This kind of reminds me of the horny engine topic on MR a while back.

Sorry Mook, bad guess on my part about cra***est dummies earlier. By enlarging the photo, it becomes very obvious that these two are not North American. Australian may be the answer. Note the fact that they have no front porches, and some other unusual details.

I don't know how they got that way, but in railroad terms it looks like a "fender bender". Maybe the problem was that the switch in the lower right was thrown wrong and someone wasn't paying attention. They thought they were headed for the shed in the background, but ended up on the through track, sideswiping the other engine.[#oops]

"And with this image, we can now prove the similarities between Humans and Locomotives. Just as humans are known to try to beat another through a door, the same is with Locomotives and points, and sometimes in both cases, the racers may get stuck. Now on to the other similarities............................"

They tried their best, but they just couldn't get the loco's close enough to get the jumper cables to reach from one loco to the other.

Looks like the switch crew got lonely over the weekend and wanted the track and mechanical folks to spend some quality time with them[:-^][:-^][:-^]

If this had been a mainline operation, the switch might have been protected by a derail if the other track is not a passing siding. Beautiful illustration of "fouling" an adjacent track.
