Mizmoo: NOW is the time to plan!
Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, April 1, 2004 7:02 PM
Mook, I see you are approaching 2500 posts. Since no one has reached the exhalted level of 3000, and I remember you were heart-broken that the brutes at Trains.com wouldn't let you have a tiara, now is the time to let it be known your desires. I think you have pretty good grounds for getting your tiara at 3000. Your closest poster, Edblysardhouston, tex, won't catch up before June. And while Doggy is likely going to pass him before that, at his present rate, the lead is all yours. You can't wait until they've given you some more dad-burned stars to complain. Now is the time to make your request...no, demand known. [all in a very lady-like manner, of course...] I'd probably be willing to be your business agent in all this, but you can't afford me.

Ah Skeets - you made my day!

Bergie has obviously been distracted by other things and won't return my repeated calls of pleading.

Since I can't afford you, I will get no compensation and no tiara! Probably will start me over with one star!

My wants would be simple - a Big Boy for my backyard/ expense paid trips to visit forum members/a lifetime pass into the Hobson yards and...........a better pair of binoculars!

[sigh]

Yeah Mookie! You're the real top cat here and you deserve a big thanks for all that you have given this forum. You support us, you humor us, and you give us the ambition we need to reach 5 stars, just like you and Ed and Jhhtrainsplanes did. I think that you should receive a tiara, and fare to meet everyone, just like you requested. [bow]

If we can't talk 'em out of a tiara, maybe diamonds in place of stars?

I would settle for Alco PA units to replace the stars (and a million dollar for each star gained--void for any member not at 5 stars by 4 - 10 - 04 [;)] [}:)] [;)] )

Tree....I mentioned diamonds the other day and she didn't respond....Maybe she's one that diamonds aren't her best friend....But I really doubt that.

Don't forget to ask for them to pay for your internet service (at least until you hit 4000 posts) so you can keep on going!

Love diamonds - but only so many fingers. Would rather have all my aquaintances on the forum. They are really more fun! However, I do have two fingers still open - remember no opposable thumbs to worry about. So if you have some diamonds just lying around...... [8D]

Sis, I think you're on the right track (and that might be literal!) with your demand for expense-paid trips to visit forum members. This forum has sparked a few such trips already, and plans have been made by some people to visit forum members as a part of trips planned for other purposes. I'm involved in a couple of these, one way or the other...

And for you, Your Majesty, they should also pay your way on Amtrak to Milwaukee for the coronation (with stopover privileges in Chicago or Naperville, of course)!

Unfortunately, I suspect that a Big Boy would be bigger than her back yard...

I may be one of the few people who actually has a lifetime subscription to Trains. I got it when I was still in college, and they quit offering them shortly thereafter. It was one of those things that seemed stupid at the time (to some people, family and friends among them), but you can't get a two-year subscription any more for what I paid for that!

I'd leave it to my little sister in my will, if I could!
