Maybe; but don't forget that Simpson's Halloween episode where all the advertising statues came to life and wrecked the town...

Mike, it was about 1967 or 1968 when I bought that lifetime subscription. Definitely no regrets.

I'm curious: can you state just how many of us there are left?

As for your fears, I hope I'm still enjoying my subscription after you retire (I'm 54...think about it).

That would have been late-1960s/early-70s, yes? I'm always amazed by the number of life subscriptions we're still honoring. While the number has dwindled somewhat in the 15 years I've been here, I can't escape the nagging feeling that many of the people who still get them are aging well up into their 120s. Carl excepted, of course.
Thank you for reading Trains magazine! click here if you dare

And for you, Your Majesty, they should also pay your way on Amtrak to Milwaukee for the coronation (with stopover privileges in Chicago or Naperville, of course)!

Oh Crud...am I gonna have to buy a dress for this coronation? [:0] Would a clean t-shirt do? If I gotta dress up, we ain't havin' no party. [:(!]

Love diamonds - but only so many fingers. Would rather have all my aquaintances on the forum. They are really more fun! However, I do have two fingers still open - remember no opposable thumbs to worry about. So if you have some diamonds just lying around...... [8D]
